We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and truly enjoyed spending two nights there.
The room was perfectly clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the air conditioning worked extremely well, which made our stay even more pleasant. The hotel also offers a laundry service at a very affordable price, which is very convenient.
The breakfast was delicious and made with fresh products. They even kindly prepared a takeaway breakfast for us when we had to leave at 4 a. M. For an excursion, which we really appreciated.
The staff was absolutely lovely—very kind, attentive, and always ready to give us great recommendations.
The swimming pool was clean and very enjoyable. The whole place is शांत, peaceful, and relaxing. The hotel is very well maintained, and the greenery and flowers around the property are simply beautiful.
We highly recommend this hotel!

Our stay at Next Door Homestay Yogyakarta was absolutely wonderful. The staff were incredibly kind, warm, and caring, and made us feel truly welcome throughout our stay. Our room was beautiful, with a gorgeous pool right in front and a lush, colorful garden that was perfectly maintained. They even went out of their way to send me a swimsuit I had forgotten in Jakarta all the way to Bali — such an incredibly thoughtful and generous gesture. Everything about this place was special, and I already can’t wait to come back.

My stay in Yogyakarta was truly amazing. From the moment I arrived, everything was explained so clearly and I received great tips about what to see and do nearby. I visited Borobudur by scooter and arranged a private driver through them to explore Jomblang Cave, which was perfectly organized.
I first stayed for three nights before traveling to Ijen and Bromo. Because I enjoyed it so much, I came back and booked another five nights. One of the staff members even advised me to reserve early before leaving because they often get fully booked — and they were absolutely right! I felt incredibly well taken care of and informed throughout my stay. This was my first time traveling abroad, yet it already felt like home.
The team is friendly, warm, funny, and has a beautiful dynamic together. I also stayed at Nextdoor Rooms Nature, which I loved, the peaceful surroundings and the sound of flowing water created such a relaxing, zen atmosphere. Not only the staff but also the overall design, plants, and layout of the property are thoughtfully done.
During my first days, I stayed in a more private section of the homestay with a pool just steps away from the bed. On my second visit, I accidentally booked the wrong room and had to spend one night at Nature, but everything was quickly and smoothly arranged. The next day I moved to Nextdoor Rooms, the same location as before but a different room for one night since the pool area was fully booked.

Very nice place to stay in Yogya, close to many restaurants in a very vibey neighborhood! The people that work here are so friendly and helped us organize all our trips. They organized a trip to the temples and we had a great, super friendly driver who spoke English very well. His name is Eddy!

Excellent place to stay. Clean. Silent. Beautiful, lots of green, colorful. Very friendly and helpful staff. Two swimming pools. Nice breakfast spot, you can choose your breakfast the evening before which they prepare for you. Great location close to Jl. Prawirotaman with lots of great shops, restaurants and bars.
Not negative, but they are renovating (August 2025) some of the rooms which might cause some noise. However, that is temporarily, and it makes the hotel even better!

We had a fantastic stay at Peters and Bettys place. It was absolutely beautiful and we felt very comfortable. We were the first guests in their new rooms. They are incredibly beautiful and furnished with great attention to details. We immediately felt like being home. Everything is very clean and well-kept and the whole staff is simply warm, very friendly, courteous and helpful in every way if needed. With the new rooms they have created an oasis where you can relax and unwind. It's a beautiful place in the middle of the city, but you can't hear anything from the city or the traffic — a big compliment to Peter and Betty. They've done a great job.
We wish them all the best and we'll come round again next time for sure.

I had a wonderful stay at this homestay! The hosts are incredibly kind and always ready to help with directions or recommendations — and they do it all with a smile. Their warmth really makes you feel at home.
The breakfasts were delicious, and what impressed me even more was their flexibility: if you have early morning plans, they’re happy to prepare breakfast to-go, which was a lovely touch.
The location is also excellent — very convenient for exploring the area.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a welcoming and well-situated place to stay!

We spent three nights in this beautiful homestay. The staff gave us really helpful recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing. They also organized drivers to the nearby temples for us. The breakfast was very good and the rooms were clean. Would definitely recommend to go there!

A very nice place to stay, convenient located, as you find in the neighbourhood art galleries, restaurants, bars. Nice little swimming pool, very friendly and helpful staff. Nice and clean rooms. A hidden gem in a small alley (15 minutes drive from Yogya train station)

A lush hidden gem. You find the homestay through small streets and enter through a beautiful garden. It’s peaceful with a nice pool, rooms are very clean and well maintained. The staff, speaks English and is truly friendly. They help you book a trip or train tickets, plan your day or book a motorcycle or car, all with the biggest smile. You feel very welcome here and it’s fun you can walk to nearby restaurant, bars, gallery’s and artist spaces.

We spent 3 nights at Nextdoor Homestay and we loved it! The staff is super nice, food is very good and the location is perfect. We really liked our big room and the lovely, cozy common swimming pool. Definitely recommended!

We spent only two nights at Nextdoor Homestay and we loved it! The staff is super nice, the room was wonderful and the breakfast delicious. They have been really helpful (found us a driver at a good price for Borobudur) and took good care of us.
The little lovely pool is a refreshing extra for the extremely hot and humid days.
The position is perfect, close to many good restaurants but in a silent narrow road.
Definitely recommended.

📍 In the heart of Yogyakarta, a very good location and walking distance to restaurants. There are many prominent restaurants and cafes nearby.
🏡 We stayed in three different rooms. The rooms are pleasant, its spacious and its clean, with a beautiful touch of Javanese and some mix of Indonesian culture.
🔐 The place feel very secure and secluded, its quiet and a hidden gem in the midst of the local neighbourhood. Many foreigners stay there, which we met from Poland, US, UK, and locals.
⭐️ The staff are also very warm and friendly. We get to meet briefly the host owner, also the team of staff like Kak Lisa, Kak Nisa, and Mas Catra, who helped us throughout our stay — such as getting a car hire service, getting tickets and insights before visiting places.
🍛 It includes breakfast, the options are close to the culture of Indonesia such as “Gudeg”, “Nasi Uduk”, and of course, “mie goreng” — with a nice portion. The plus points is that they always provided extras like fruit salads, traditional desserts, banana bread, etc. Through out our stay.
💳 Decently priced. We book through Booking. Com and it’s very easy to adjust and modify.
⭐️ Overall, we had a very decent stay and definitely would love to come back again!

Most beautiful gardens and pool impeccably kept by wonderful staff who are always happy to help you. Breakfast is a treat, would recommend to anyone.

This beautiful, charming, friendly homestay is perfect for a home away from home feel to your stay. The boho chic appearance brings a jungles feel to the resort. Pristine clean swimming pool, wonderful staff and lovely breakfast. I have nothing bad to say about this place. The location is fabulous to meander the streets for Batik and jump i. A grab to visit other ares of this big city.
I would highly recommend this place to everyone.

A truly wonderful place to stay. The staff are all wonderful and will do anything to help including help with booking tours and sightseeing.
The pool is clean and really refreshing after a long hot day or early morning swim.
Bedroom was a great size, comfy bed and lovely shower facilities. Everything was spotlessly clean.
The breakfast was more than adequate each morning.
This place is a great location for the chocolate shop, gelato cafe and some great bars and restaurants, all within easy walking distance.
We highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in Yogyakarta.

This location is fantastic! On walking distance of many restaurants and in a very quiet neighbourhood. Very kind staff. And it is a very cozy place. I would recommend to go if your are in Yokyakarta!
