Of all the places I've stayed in Indonesia so far, this room has been the cleanest. Unfortunately that is not difficult since the others were disgusting.
This one isn't perfect, but it looks like the managers are working on the hotel and gradually fixing any issues.
The managers are friendly and they've given me bottles of water everyday. Other places only put them in the room for check in so I bought a heap of water when I arrived, but most of it hasn't been used.
If you like hot showers then you might be disappointed. The room I'm in has a water heater attached to the shower, but you only get about 1 minute of hot water. It's summer in Java so hot water isn't as necessary as it could be. 😂
The Botanical gardens are just across the street, but the entrance is the opposite side of the park, so a leisurely walk. Just be careful on your way back to the hotel because there are roadworks blocking the road and path in one side of the gardens. Google maps didn't mention it and wanted me to walk through it… I had to detour quite a distance through small alleys and bridges to get back to the hotel. I got some nice photos from the bridges and the people are all friendly along the way though.
