Very fantastic place with great view and competitive price but also one of the best place to do night rooftop photography during your stay. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Its worth every penny you spend here. Very high recommendation for friends and families.

I've always stayed at this hotel whenever I go to Jakarta since I was a kid. The staff are very polite and caring and will help whenever there is a problem in a friendly manner. The food is also exceptional. There are many options to choose from although maybe give a few more Western options. The pool, despite looking plain, is also fantastic to have a nice swim in. The location is excellent as the hotel is in central Jakarta (the city centre). The rooms are beautifully furnished (bed is comfortable, a/c is cool (given the fact that Jakarta is very hot), bathroom works excellently, and the TV has over a dozen international channels). I definitely recommend this hotel whether you are staying for one single night or a whole week. Overall, this hotel deserves its 4-5 stars.

Had breakfast together in this hotel. Despite the variations of food from Indonesian, Western and other kind foods the taste is disappointing. The only delicious food is ham meat and some cold prawn seafood. Others taste like low-end quality food. I expect more from buffet at hotel that located in Sudirman street in Jakarta.

Large room with very comfortable bed. Pleasant and polite staffs. Decent restaurant on the ground floor which also has a coffee bar and the lounge. Japanese restaurant is under renovation, which is a pity as they served very good lunch bento.

Nice hotel with nice food. You can get any type of cook, Nusantara or Western style are provided well here. Meeting room is also good. And room is very nice and clean.

Assigned a room on the far end of the building away from reception, not sure what wing that is called. Old traditional deco with old Balinese sculptures and figurines along corridor. Rooms are big. Not a fan of old style washroom. Bathtub without shower area. Very low toilet seat. Not comfortable seat.

Had dinner at La Brasserie and it was great. Although it was buffet and I particularly do not like buffet for lunch or dinner, this one was delightful. Different types. Of cuisines like local Indonesian, Japanese, Chinese. The seafood display was great. Tried many things like five different types of bread, exquisite seafood salad, beef and chicken stir fry and a fantastic lamb stew. Desserts were decadent. The whole display was amazing, service excellent and priced right.

The hotel has an old decoration but it didn't creep me out like old hotels tend to. Room was so comfortable, nice toiletries, comfortable bed! Staffs were nice too! The lounge was really nice, I can say I got the best table as it had an amazing view of Jakarta at night.

Indonesian cultured hotel with a big pool, the room is very great, very wide, and has a wide window that can see the Jakarta, this hotel also serves many foods, but the foods may not various and not too delicious, the service is standard, for the window on the room, please make a cleaning guy that cleaning the window off, so we doesn’t have to difficultly see the outside, there are so many black dots. Strategic place, also the price is not matched with the room, it must be cheaper 100-300k. Wanted to rated 5, but this hotel doesn’t well to deserve this, sorry, this hotel is great, I reccomend this hotel especially for foreigner.

Everything is so good, I'd give a thumb up. From their customer service to their food at the restaurant, can't request for more. It's the best!

Old hotel, still very clean and cosy. Staff is super friendly and the buffets are amazing. Indonesian, Japanese, Indian, Chinese, and middle eastern foods on the menu. Dessert menu is nice too. Equipped gym, steam, sauna, massage etc are excellent. LoVed my 4 night stay here, best value for money.

Very nice place to be for a short period. Maintains standards. But only one issue. Very less options for vegans during breakfast. But they can customize the food the way you want and they are good at it too.

Went to a wedding over here. Not sure about Organizer or Hotel's Food was running out pretty fast, and not much selection of food stalls ceiling is a bit low and room is pretty small for a ballroom I guess. Very limited parking space as well. Staffs recommends to park at nearby ANZ building.

I love how it is decorated, the light, the ambience. It makes me wanna stay there all day long (eventhough I live in Jakarta tho). The staff is also humble to the guest. One thing I don't like about this hotel is, I come in here by foot and the gate is really small, doesn't fit with the hotel this big.

Great hotel, SPG members get extra attentive treatment. We got an upgraded room and credit for drinks and spas. They have one of the top Lebanese restaurants on the main floor. Too bad we were there for only one night. Perhaps a better review in near future.

Absolutely avoid dinner if you don't want to have diarrhea.

One of the older 5 star hotels in Jakarta, but unlike the other old hotels, the room is in top condition; clean, and comfortable. The upside is, the room is more spacious than other newer 5 star hotels with same grade (standard vs standard, deluxe vs deluxe, etc. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is excellent, food variety and quality is good. Ample parking on the premises, and access ramps are large enough (unlike some newer hotels with super narrow ramps, while newer vehicles has grown larger, go figure).

Excellent hotel. Very nice staffs. Spacious rooms with all facilities. This hotel will be much suitable for the people who are traveling for business as most of the business locations are near by. There is a wonderful swimming pool with a traditional temple design added to its beauty. The breakfast is really really good with options from all over the world. You can also exchange you cash in a counter within the hotel.

What I like: The room are neat and smell nice, calming. The restaurant serves various food including healthy ones. Things that can be better: Pool are dirty at times. The gym equipments need to be reconditioning. Some ridiculous things I found: Servers, waiters, greeters, whatever you call those nice ladies in restaurant area have one same pattern: Caucasian First. They serve those bule like they are the only ones contributed to hotel's income. I came first and waited more than 5 minutes with no queue before me — — to get table for dinner, but the bule who came way after me get their table right away, and made me to wait another 5-10 minutes. And that wasn't my first bad experience by the wa, saying this feels like a pattern for this hotel.

Despite its age, hotel is still in good conditions, although door to my room is a bit tricky to open. Staff are friendly, quick and efficient. Breakfast fare not the best.

Nice hotel for wedding event under 600 pax. Ballroom design is nice, and the foyer area can also be used for food stall.

Five stars hotel in Central Jakarta. Located in Jend. Sudirman main street. Big and clean hotel. Comfort, elegant, and upscale service. Good food good atmosphere.

We made an event in this hotel! booked and paid full for ballroom…, and guess what, in the same date as the event, they change our ballroom to regular meeting arbitrarily with a simple "sorry, we forgot to tell you… " and our event was SCREWED! no refund, no compliment no nothing! just an Arrogant we're sorry (and there's nothing you can do about it because you already paid us! ). We, and all our partner corporate will never ever hold a venue in this place ever again! and we encourage everyone not to make one in this hotel! We have proof like contract and event photos if anyone want to see… crazy sales team!

This is a wonderful hotel to stay in. The staff is all incredibly friendly, and the variety of food is amazing. The rooms are very clean and modern. I would highly recommend this hotel to any traveler!

2nd time here, 2nd time everything was good. Excelent international breakfast. Very friendly personal. If I come back to Jakarta I stay here again.

Only here for meetings and seminars, but the food is always great. Great variety and taste delicious.

This is one of the oldest hotels in jakarta. But Foods are delicious.

This has been my go-to hotel in Jakarta for a few years now. It's well located (i Cahn even walk to some places when the traffic gets really bad! ) And the service is always decent. It is starting to get a little old — and the perennial massive hole next door of an abandoned tower does give it an air of being less luxurious then it probably is. With newer SPG properties opening up in the coming year, I'm not sure this place will remain top of my list for too much longer. They said, you still can't go far wrong staying here.

— Contaminated food/water led to parasitic infection — You can tell this was a 5 star hotel some 30 years ago. Staff are very friendly and the services provide are quite extensive — though this seems to be the case with most upscale Jakarta hotels. Yet, I contracted a parasitic infection of my gut during my stay there, eating breakfast and dinner at the hotel every day. When running a bath after a subsequent fever, the water was grey. However, when I asked the staff they claimed that the hotel's water supply is being purified in some way. Finally, appliances, lighting and all amenities (incl towels and bath robes) are several years old. I spend between a quarter to half of my nights in hotels each year and I am a big fan of SPG, but this hotel is not up to Meridien standards. I'd recommend to check out the competition, as they have great offers in the same price range and newer hotels provide the peace of mind to get your work done.

Outdated and ugly building but with great food and good service and decent security. Rooms are ok but old furnishings and carpeting make it feel like a 2 star motel…

Stayed at Club executive suite, room was perfectly spotless with everything neatly working and perfected! Will definitely stay again.

The le meridien was the brilliant hotel in jJLn sudirman and the road to the le meridien very easy beacause no traffic.

In general it's a nice hotel. However it needs some renovations to make it more current. You can tell it was a very nice hotel 10 years ago, now it's just ok. Staff is very helpful, friendly and always looking to help. Rates are affordable. I don't think I'd stay here again though. If you're under limited budget then stay there, it's clean and efficient.

Loved the breakfast food. Near everywhere. Awesome. Small-ish rooms compared to others.
