Great food — building is beautiful!

The room especially for the wood deluxe is quite spacious. The highlight in the room is their bathtub next to the bed. It is a unique concept.
the breakfast is so so. Nothing special.

Wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel with outstanding service and crafted rooms. Bed is high and super comfortable. What was outstanding was the service — my chicken dish at the restaurant was undercooked and I gave feedback to the staff. I told them it's a not a complaint and I want to make sure other guests won't be served the same. They took the feedback positively. The shower has no door so if do take note, if you're staying with new friends or colleagues.

Great place to stay. Concept well executed. The 3rd floor Mansart rooms are well appointed. Food is good too. Just some rough edges here and there that could be excused.

Hotel dengan disain klasik eropa. Benar-benar disuguhkan dengan kemewahan. Lokasi startegis bersih kamar luas nyaman dan mewah. Harga permalam sekitar 1.5 sampai 4 jutaan permalam. Grand sofia adalah restoran yang hipe banget dikalangan sosialita. Sering dijadikan pemotretan para artis untuk cover majalah.

Pretty cool. There are 35 rooms and suites to choose from, in three distinct design styles to suit your taste. The white rooms are elegant and airy, and the wood rooms feature a stand-alone bathtub to unwind en suite. And the mansard rooms, up in the rafters, are the most modern of the bunch. All share access to the aforementioned butler’s services, as well as a fitness center and Csaba, a private space for hotel guests and outside members to socialize and relax.

We ate at Sofia Resto and were very happy with the atmosphere and the decor. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. The cuisine is also very tasty and fits the price. Very appreciate for the special cake to celebrate our wedding day. The cake is also very tasty. Only one correction from us which is very disturbing the smell of cigarette. There should be an enclosed space for those who smoke.

The room is clean, and have a good staf and service. The selection for breafast are quite limited (alacart). Sofia is more lounge rather than resto. They have excellent selection of whisky and the atmosphire is nice. Lobby is very small. The meeting room is very cozy But not recomanded for long hour, Smoke from cigar room contaminated inside the meeting room.

The Gunawarman is my go-to hotel in Jakarta. A classic European boutique hotel where everyone knows your name, and a bar and restaurant downstairs. This would fit in Paris.

My wife and I came to Sofia Restaurant for dessert and after dinner drinks. We sat at the bar. The staff are great and personable, and speak English well. Nice ambience and interesting crowd of locals and foreigners. Our dessert, the apple crumble, was quite ordinary. The Shiraz was decent. We watched the bartenders make drinks and they consistently under pour the alcohol. So wine may be a better value. Make a booking on a weekend night.

Perfectly executed hotel and very nice boutique hotel with cozy environment & attention to small details in many aspects. So enjoyable to stay in this hotel. Keep up the good hotel!

Very classy — good jazz band and hotel bar. Downstairs private membership cigar lounge; bottle storage and conference facility reminds me of a James Bond 007 movie!

Nice place to hang out… Not suitable for business meeting. Music too loud during my visit.

If all of Jakarta was as nice as this hotel and functioned in the same way, JKT would be in the top 5 tourist destinations.

Location a d rooms are good. Very nice indeed! However, not many people know about the place.

Nice boutique hotel and authentic. The room is superb but not suitable for those who are claustrophobic. They are very detailed in presenting their uniqueness.

This hotel so look european, when I came to the entrance it doesnt like you are in indonesia… All the interior design so western, make me miss my europe trip.

Nice boutique with a period theme. Rooms on each of the 3 floors feature distinct decor so pick the style you like when you book. Bar and restaurant is decent.

The Gunawarman is now my choice hotel when I am back in Jakarta. The building and the room were breathtakingly beautiful. Wonderful attention to details. Kudos to the staff too. So friendly and so ernest. They have showed such heartfelt sincerity. The only thing that stopped me from giving 10/10 was the loud thumping music that could be heard in my room on level 1 in the evening till around midnight for the two weekend nights I was there (11-13 August). It wasnt deafening. Ju…st that I am an early and light sleeper. That said it is a 8.5/10 from me to you. See you again.

I am honestly at a loss of words when it comes to The Gunawarman. It was truly an amazing experience — my stay at this luxurious boutique hotel. Everything about this place screams luxury, refinement and sophistication. Cant wait to be back!

Cute boutique hotel. Nice design and good amenities. Does not have taxi pool but don't let that deter you. Recommended for couples, or those who want to have cozy evenings but do not want to break the bank. The restaurant is highly recommended too.

The hotel is a labor of love. Very detailed in its execution and development. The ambience is unique. A must visit hotel when in Jakarta. Only setback is that the beautiful rooms are a bit small.

Food was delicious. Cakes and pastries were amazing. Service first class. Music selection on point. And that bar!
A must see if you're in Jakarta.
