Review of Bromo Venture

10/10
Review for the Hotel as well as the tours to Bromo and Ijen.
Hotel: We stayed for two nights and the Hotel as well as our room was very clean. We had the possibility to use the kitchen, which was very helpful, since we arrived quite late. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and had someone pick us up from the train station. Only, the AC in our room did not work properly, but which was bearable. Also, there are only 2 toilets with showers, which at certain times can lead to having to wait a few minutes.
We booked the tours to Bromo and Ijen in advance and the correspondence with the owner who also organized the tour was very fast and rich in detail. Also, both tours could be done directly after eachother, but we chose to split it (we did Bromo the first night/morning, slept, hung out at the BJBR, had dinner and at lunch time the next day the Ijen tour started). Also, for this package we paid around 1 450 000 per person (incl. Everything to get to Bali except dinner and lunch on the Ijen tour). We probably could have gotten the package cheaper if we had booked the different parts ourselved, but it was very nice having had everything planned, so we could just enjoy. Also, we paid the tour fees at the Hotel in cash (card was not possible).
Bromo tour: Everything worked perfectly, we had a very friendly driver, who spoke English and picked us up (at around 2 am) at the Hotel. Near Bromo we transfered with three other people (total of 5) into a Jeep who drove us right to the top of the view point. We got out and watched the sunrise. At 06.30 we returned to the Jeep and were driven to the crate, where we could walk up and have free time for about 1.5 hours. The guide was very friendly and advised us to take a photo of the licenseplate to find our jeep when we get back. After that we (without the other people) transfered to the car that picked us up and were brought to a very nice restaurant for breakfast (the food was very good and they even made my meal as a vegetarian version). At around 10.00 am we got back to the Hotel.
Ijen: We started at lunchtime (12:00 pm), got picked up by the driver from the hotel and drove together with 2 other people (4 in total but with a bigger car) for 1.5 hours to a restaurant where we could order food on our own expanses. The restaurant could have been better, but was very convenient. We continued driving and arrived at around 6 pm at the location for the night (30 min away from the Ijen parking). The Home Stay we had was perfect (has a 5.0 review), we had our own room and own toilet/shower and we could eat dinner there (not incl. In price), which was very delicious and at a fair price and which also had vegetarian/vegan options. At 02.00 am we got picked up for the sunrise tour, went to the Ijen parking where we met our guide. Our guide for Ijen was also incredible. He handed us gas masks and flash lights, showed us the best spots for pictures, gave us some free time on the crate and spoke perfect English. He even helped one person in our group a lot while descending since she wasn't wearing good shoes (don't forget, warm clothing and good shoes). After spending enough time at the crate, we hiked back to the parking (total 9 km about 2.5 hours). Where our driver waited for us. We were taken back to the home stay (where we left our lugguage) had time for a shower and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast with many different things to choose from.
The review is detailed, because honestly, when we booked the tour we did not know what to expect (maybe this helps someone). We were very happy about the places that were included in the tour. Not the cheapest options were chosen, but the ones best suiting.
