HUGE shout out to the BBQ guest house, incredible hospitality, delicious food, and really went out of their way to be accommodating and helpful with meals and transportation!
Not to mention the views of the volcano at sunset.

Amed is a great place to unwind and relax great friendly locals amazing atmosphere no big hotels fantastic cheap food everywhere. The real deal the real Bali. Rice fields, diving and relaxing. Hire a scooter less than £5 a day and ridiculous cheap petrol. Save and friendly.

Great place! Beautiful backdrop with Mount Agung and far prefer this laid back place than the more touristy places in South Bali. Diving super here also.

After days of snorkeling and relaxation we were in the mood to jet ski. We found Sionex Sukses Amed Water Sports and we were not disappointed. Wonderful fun and overall great experience. Caught some great air jumping through the water and the views looking back at the island were everything and more. The jet skis had great power and the seats were very comfortable when we landed a jump. No sore bums here. Salty air blowing through our hair (not my husband’s) and water spraying in our face was just what we were craving. We booked an hour and built up an appetite from the thrills. Now to stop at one of the great restaurants on our way back to where we’re staying. Thank you Amed for an amazing time we will NEVER forget. “The World is full of nice people. If you can’t find one, be one. ” In Amed you don’t have to look far to find them. ❤️

Quiet beach resort not much night life but beautiful and peaceful spent 2 nights here great friendly people food choice clearly not as broad as bigger resorts but snorkelling good beach nice view stunning watching the sun set.

Very nice hotel. They have pool and just walking distance around 10 meters, they have a private beach. The room is large and nice. They also rent a motorbike just in case u need to travel around amed. No need to rent a car, you just need a motorbike.

It's a great place we were in the suite and it was all perfect. The hotel people are super helpful and friendly. I'm advising anyone. We'll be repeating soon. Best regards.

Paradise, good value for money. No nasty surprises in this really nice place. Average restaurant but breakfast is nice. You can even rent a scooter directly from the hotel. In short I recommend.

Amed is an odd place. There is an overwhelming sense of unemployment about the place. There is plainly very little money here. My partner and I were tricked into buying an expensive dinner by a friendly woman in the restaurant under the guise of watching her prepare a chicken Bali — style. And not a nice meal. Of steamed chicken. Amed had a nice, black beach. Offshore we enjoyed a snorkel in the top 2 sorkels I've had; above a sunken Japanese WW2 submarine. Exceptional. We used a local boy and his family with a nice lunch in their hut cooked by mother. Amed has pristine rice paddies inland too. It's a very nice place overall with not much to do and off the track enough to remain very untouched.

We were previously in Ubud and Jimbaran, both male 3 Star category as now also our current Arya Amed Beach Resort … And I can only say NO FOR! Arya Amed is incredibly beautiful, from the Property alone. It is very well maintained, clean and tidy! The Food is good, the Staff very very friendly. Due to a Fish poisoning that I contracted in Ubud I had to go to the Doctor and got Infusions, the Staff organized a Driver who did not give way from my Side until returning to The Hotel!
I can encourage this Hotel to all Those who are looking for a 3 Star hotel In price/.
Fresh Pool Towels, fresh Towels every day, the Staff is on Hand immediately. It's neat and clean. There is a Legend, Climate and good Food, the Pool invites you to relax.

Snorkeling right off the beach! Restaurants are really good with great prices! Amed is a must visit when traveling to Bali.

Lovely stay. Very quiet but the beach is interesting. And there are some awesome beach view spots.

Nice, volcanic beach with black sand, and many locals restaurants, where you can stay during the day or evening with family or friends. Good food, and caffe, make your stay a pleasure, you can relax there, and feel chill. Evenings walk on the beach with music is the perfect ending of your day, It's must be must see on Bali. You can found accommodations on each price level.

Nice hotel, swimming pool was cool but the internet was off/down during our stay.

It is not the prettiest Beach, however if you want to see lots of beautiful fish small and big, then put your mask and make 10m in the water, you will be in a giant Aquarium! Superb!

Not bab for snorkeling around.

This place is so remote you'll wonder if your driver is trying to kidnap you and take you somewhere else.

Black sand, quiet and cozy place in north of bali.

No hot water. Awful staff. Concerning the shower, there are no words to express how disgusting it is. Also, you cannot swim into the sea because there are to many waves and do not expect tanning on the beach because it is full of shingles. I do not recommend.

Amed is the best place in Bali! If you are coming to Bali it is absolutely necessary to come to Amed. This is the true authentic Bali! This place is peacefull and its invits you to chill out.

No massive tourisme and only small fisherman village… For me its like an overview of paradise ;)

Not that great of a place. Everything is just not what you expect. Breakfast poorly, rooms ok but old, poolarea not great, location ok, service not great. For 1 day ok but not more.

Spent a month here and didn't get bored. The most beautiful water and coral I've ever seen. The sand is black and lava rocky. It's not overrun by tourists, it's not the kind of place where people sit and get hammered all day!

Amed is actually a group of small waterfront towns made up almost exclusively of hotels, homestays and dive clubs. The atmosphere is still vaguely roots and neo-babacool. This is the benchmark of French expatriates. So if you're still looking for the authentic bali, it's no longer there of course. But the area is pretty nice.

I stayed at ocean view suite for 2 nights. Pretty nice place to stay, private beach, cozy room. The semi open bathroom was nice. Breakfast was a lil bit limited, but tasted okay.

Looks really nice, the food is good, the shower isn't that great though.

Great area to stay and was awesome to get out of the busy city — heaps of great snorkeling and dive spots, food and bars were also good! Find a place with happy hour cocktails and sit watching the ocean and coast being it's beautiful self.

For snorkling and diving lovers, I think Amed Beach is suitable for you. But if you wanna see the beach side panorama or beach view, you are suggested to seek other beaches.

Very beautiful hotel, nice sized rooms, lavishly laid out hotel amidst greenery, a pool, and the beach. Very friendly and helpful staff, if the hotel guys do not offer a particular service, they will reach out to others to get that deal for you. Liked it a lot!

This is by far the best hotel I stayed while in Bali. Very quite and relaxing. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, bathroom is nicely sizes. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The gardens, ponds and temple stones are well kept. The restaurant options are great, everything I tried tasted very good. There is beach access from the hotel. The highlight of the hotel is the infinity pool, well designed, blends well with its surroundings especially the beautiful flowering trees. There are board games and a 8-ball pool table at the bar. The hotel offers amenities like diving, snorkeling, motor bike rent and trips to Gili islands.

Good beach. But I think it's only suitable for totally. There's no sand on the rocks. "But for that, they go to amédée, not to be tan, and to the wonderful underwater world. "

Nice/ok but far from the center as it is at the very end of the road. Don't expect to be walking out to many places for dinner. The bungalows themselves are nice but everyone passing by can see what is happening in. Swimming pool is OK but no more.

We liked everything and more at the BBQ guesthouse, in fact, we were so sad to leave Amed. We booked it for 3 nights, and it was our best stay in indonesia! The bungalow is nicely decorated and huge, much bigger than what it looks from the pictures. The bed was huge, th rbathroom as well, the garden very nice and the views stunning. But most importantly, the family that owns/manages it is just great. They take care of every single detail, help you in anything they can and more. They arranged super nice diving with an excelleny local diving center, transfer to gili for a very good price, and prepared a delicious fish bbq on our last night. We had such an amazing time in Amed, and met suvh nice people! We are still saying: let's go back to Amed and the bbq guesthouse. If you want to spend amazing fays, go to Amed, and stay at the bbq guesthouse. Tahnk's for everything! Anil & Jara.

The cafe inside may have seen better days, but now the food served there is just a sad shadow of the indonesian cooking. No flavors, no spices. And many pastas on the menu. Go to one of the many authentic warungs around, and get a much better food for half the price.

Very friendly staff. Especially for our daughter. She was very happy and feeling at home with the staff. She even got banana pancake every breakfast. One of the few places that had a baby bed/cot. Direct on the beach with a nice restaurant and swimming pool. The beach is Just rocks and the coral is nothing, all dead. For snorkeling, you can rent a scooter and go to the Japanse shipwreck only 10 minutes. First time here. Staff friendly and helpful. Room clean and smell nice. Seaview and beach front exellent. Left 1 star for their future improvement.

Quiet and full of trees and flower courtyard, perfect staff, clean rooms, good restaurant. Nice pool, rocky beach (but perfect water), a dive center in location. Renting a scooter from the reception, provide the opportunity to travel in the mountain surroundings.
