Villa unique went above and beyond to help make our visit to ubud smooth. We were able to reserve the entire villa last minute (albeit in off season) and then an additional night for one room after we decided to spend a day at the nearby spa. The family that runs the villa are so kind, helpful, and honest. We asked to leave our bags for a few days with them while we scootered north, and they took great care to keep everything safe and accounted for. We weren’t sure when we were going to return, but they didn’t mind and said we can get them in a few days whenever it worked best. Their rooms are clean and relatively bug free. Still amazed that the hotel across the street was $400 a night per room and the whole villa here was $120! The location is great in a little less busy of an area but with plenty to offer like high quality shopping, restaurants and a great spa. If you don’t already know, Ubud is really chaotic and busy, so it’s nice to escape the pace of downtown while still getting to enjoy it with a quick scooter taxi ride.
I booked a deluxe villa on booking. Com, upon arrival, there was no hand towels or soap, and the hot water didn’t work until our second evening. The insect net had holes, dirt and didn’t even cover the whole bed. There was a variety of ants and other insects in and around the room, some which had been squished and left in the room. One positive however, was the pool, this was the nicest part of the property. I checked out of this hotel 3 days early. I was very disappointed.

I had really great stay in Villa Unique! Ubud was really exciting city and very hot at this time of the year so chilling by the pool was one of the best things to do! Rooms had AC, a lot of space and with big terrace and very decent bathroom. Not far from the center ~15 min Grab drive.
