The standard villa is not totally discreet but over outstanding view. Food is average same as most of Bali hotels. However, kubu restaurant worth to book dinner because the view over the river. After 6 days from Ritz Carlton Nusa Dua with my family, We continued 6 days in the Villa at Ritz Carlton Ubud and this hotel also got nice view, nice service, nice food, nice enviroment, nice hotel.

A very good place to stay in ubud, really calm and peacefull. With a hills and rice field it cool really feel traditional bali.

Completely amazing. This place is an absolute must. Perfect views, immaculate landscape details, great food and what was the most standout was their customer service. The hospitality is unmatched. I will not go into too much detail because I do not want to ruin the continuous surprises they provide but our host aka “butler” (lack of better term) was stand up. I forgot a number of personal items at the hotel and he arranged a driver to send them to Seminyak (1+ hours away). He refused to be compensated. The hospitality and overall stay will be remembered forever.

The best dinner place in Bali. Period. The feeling of having exclusivity right by the river, while eating delicious food was phenomenal. Our waitress was great and prompt, and being vegetarians, we were delighted to know that they had taken the pains to create a completely separate vegetarian menu. The view, and the setup was unique too!

Beautifully and very well designed resort. Beautiful villas with the view to Ayung River, forests and rice teraces. Kids club with a camp concept without any gadgets, with some ducks, rabits, chickens and a cow named Manda are ready welcoming kids to the resort.

Although we were really looking for the Kubu restaurant where we had anticipated an exclusive meal given the secrecy of the location, we encountered an incredible resort. Pity it was in the evening but what a beautiful establishment. Kubu on the other is hand is a fine dining restaurant experience with impeccable service. The private cocoons of the restaurant form the pleasant setting. There are two menus — one with 6 courses the other with 8 courses. A wine pairing is also available to compliment the meals. The little surprises and palate cleansers in between are a special treat. After 6 meals one is left slightly uncertain which was their favourite. Altogether a lovely experience to try out on an evening in Ubud. Go hungry and prepared to pay a premium price. I'd say it's worth it!

Really Amazing & Cozy Hotel to stay in Ubud Bali. Great view of green scenery surrounding the hotel, friendly hotel staff and fun experience of buggy ride while heading to the room (must try sitting on the back seat of buggy car). Highly recommended and absolutely will come back to have another fun & sweet moments here.

Is fully close to nature environment, good weather, you can walk on the ridge between admiring the scenery.
Whether it is a Villa or Room, The design is full of ingenuity and atmosphere, very suitable for couples, spouses, family to travel!

This hotel is a total gem! Pictures don't tell or express what the reality is! We made a deep research of Ubud in order to decide where to stay for a honeymoon. There are a lot of 5 stars luxury hotels in Ubud that are very recommended by a lot of different people we know. Mandapa has been open for only two years and that is why not much people have heard about it but for sure it is the best (and the newest) hotel in Ubud! It is a huge reserve with only 60 rooms or less, they have their own incredible rice fields and a river that crosses in the middle of the hotel. The villas are huge with their own pool and a poolhouse and fully decorated with great taste! Everything is clean and smells really nice! The staff is very nice and attentive all the time. Food and drinks are amazing (lychee martini was my favorite). The spa is wonderful with a jacuzzi that has the best view straight to the river and all the nature that surrounds this pace. There are different activities and classes scheduled every day included and private upon request and additional charge. Mandapa didn't cease to amaze me every time we came into our villa, or out to breakast, or when we were on the road in the golf cart up to the lobby. Everything is breathtaking in this place! Also, they have Kubu restaurant for dinner which was my favorite restaurant in Bali. Don't stay in another place in Ubud! This is by far the best hotel in town!

We had an amazing experience at Mandapa Reserve. The staff were amazing, great food, very clean and much more than just a hotel. This is easily the best resort in Ubud! I would highly recommend it!

Anyone coming to Bali needs to have this as a "must visit" truly blown away. From the attentive staff that greeted us to the spectacular views and luxurious surroundings, dinner in Kubu was amazing and I cannot recommend highly the Gourmet Collection which was out of this world, what a chef and creative menu. Please do not miss the opportunity to visit this truly fabulous place.

An amazing venue, views are magnificent and the attention to detail is out of this world. All the staff are really willing and eager to provide the best service possible and make your stay a memorable one. I would recommend to all.

I am currently staying at the hotel. When you check in it's in your room not in the lobby. You are assigned a personal butler to handle anything or concerns you have. I decided to stay at a pool villa as my 6 year old son loves the water and felt I can just relax and have him in the pool. It was the most expensive room I have ever stayed In and I have stayed at great hotels all over the world as I leisure travel a lot. It had by far the best service of any hotel I have ever stayed at. No task was too hard. If something wasn't on the menu they would still make it for you. If the hamburger wasn't exactly how I wanted it they would prepare it whatever way I desired it. It is very kid friendly hotel which was not the case of several other hotels in area that either refused kids or discouraged bringing kids. This hotel had a camp for children with animals and nature which was surprisingly very good for my son as he was engrossed in feeding and learning about the animals and nature and playing instruments. The staff at the camp were incredible patient and sincere. During my stay I encountered a situation by the pool and by glass barrier that my child could have been hurt severely. I let me butler know and they came with engineering to put a fence up for the remainder of the visit. I even fell and skinned my shin and they brought alcohol, an antiseptic and cleaned it for me. I can't say enough about the hotel and I am incredibly picky about hotels and service.

Everything here is perfect. There was nothing that I didn't like. I love the panorama green view. The rice fields and the river are perfect combination. the breakfast is good. the staffs are friendly and polite. the room is spacious and nice. Overall, Mandapa resort is beautiful and stunning.

Good hotel with perfect service. Everything is fast and effective. Rooms are spacious. View is pleasant. It is located 4 km from Ubud center, so you need to take taxi every time you go to the town. The only real minus for me is the coffee table of a strange shape (on the photo) I struck my feet against sevral times.

Truly an extraordinary property thanks to an unforgettable setting in the forests of Ubud, delicious local fare, a masterful team ready to make your stay special, and endless activities to explore. The pool villas are well worth it. Don't miss the yoga and infinity jacuzzi pool in the spa, nor the amazing (and included) breakfast spread.

Stopped by for a drink and a snack. The view was absolutely breathtaking and the property is amazing. Food and drinks were solid as well. Not sure if I'd stay here myself (I really love the Alila hotels), but definitely a major contender.

The hotel is excellent.

This is a newly opened resort (6-months) and at the time of this review, the newest of Ritz Carlton's reserve properties. They are a class above the standard properties and there are only four of them in the world (Puerto Rico, Mexico, Phulay Bay, and this one, Mandapa). This is probably the best hotel property I've been to, but then I say that without having gone to many resort hotels in my lifetime, much less in the Ubud area. That said, the entire experience was amazing, beginning with the check-in experience. The moment we arrived, we were greeted by Ana, the general manger of the property. She saw the launch of the Mandapa resort from the very beginning. The staff provided a unique welcome drink (loloh cem cem (some local herbal drink) mixed with coconut) and a lei (flowers around your neck). They take you to the lobby, which is the highest point of the entire village and has a commanding view of the valley beneath, with green rice paddies, gently rolling hills and the Ayung River. It's quite an impressive first sight. Ana and her team explains a bit about the property, which features 60 villas and suites, two swimming pools, a luxury spa and active excursions like rafting (which we did and highly recommend). Meanwhile, our luggage were silently transported to our rooms, as if they already knew were we stayed. After the brief welcome, we hit the buggies and were on our way.

Absolutely amazing place full of the best amenities and excellent service staff. Every detail was thought through and everyone on the grounds knew your name. We had to leave very late for a flight and the resort was very accommodating The dining on site was amazing as well. The Kubu restaurant was very special and excellent food — very comparable to Toronto or Chicago. Overall, I would strongly recommend this place.

Quintessence of relaxation and meditation. Its situation, surrounded by rice fields with traditional irrigation system and in which you can work with your own hands. In addition it is very close to the spiritual town of Ubud.

At the center of the resort is a verdant rice paddy field and meandering pathways. Gently rolling hills within the resort and the soothing sound of the Ayung River conjures a feeling of peace and tranquility. This luxury resort will transport guests to a simpler time. Allow the staff and location to pamper you during your stay. We did and the only disappointment was not staying a few more days. Until next time, friends…!
