What can I say? The superlatives simply don't do this resort any justice! I booked three night's in a panoramic villa, we checked in with a welcome drink and was Impressed at how swift this process was. Amazing hotel resort, so kind of the owner to give us free spa services also during our stay. The monkeys are also entertaining. And the food is amazing. The most amazing thing about staying here is being in jungle, it’s so surreal to be at one with nature.

This is an excellent spa in the middle of heaven. The staff is amazing and they really know what they are doing. Great professionals who know how to make you feel special. Very much enjoyed the massage while there was a thunderstorm going on. Oh Wow!

Insta hell! I stayed at the hotel August 2019 with my girlfriend. I booked it and flew from London to have the most amazing relaxing few days in this Gorgeous hotel. I must say the staff couldn’t be more friendly or helpful. The location is indeed beautiful and from first look it was paradise. That’s was until every two mins for 12 hours straight everyday during my stay wannabe instragram stars take over removing any tranquilly there is. It was horrendous and before you knew it you were starring in the background whenever you try and have a swim. The food was ok but very expensive and the drinks even more so. The private pool in our villa was in shade most of the day. It’s a lot of money for what it is. I think if they sort out and clamp down on the photo taking as truly it’s beyond a joke then it’s nice but very overpriced.

This was a Great Hotel. The views are amazing. The staff was always their to take care of what ever we needed.

We loved our stay at hanging gardens. The service was amazing, they were very accommodating and the staff was genuinely kind and friendly. The grounds are beautiful, set into the hillside made it a very zen and peaceful experience. The spa was nice as well, I had the most amazing massage! I highly recommend this resort if you are looking for a quiet, peaceful place outside Ubud.

Sublime hotel, incredible environment, in the heart of lush Balinese nature. And what about the hotel pools? This place is truly unique. I have a wonderful memory of it. High rates, but in keeping with the services and beauty of the place.

The best has a price so its pricy but totally worth every penny. Customer service is superb. They can make you feel at home because they are always of assistant. I went there solo but the waiters are always assisting me taking pictures of me. The view is breathtaking. Perfect for a silent and solemn get away. If u want a quiet place a way from the city this is the best place for you. I would definetly come back and hopefully at that time I'm not going on solo

Don’t come here if you want a relaxing experience. I came an hour to use the pool from a package I bought online. I arrived and right away they told me I could only look at the pool and had to pay another $200 USD to go in and lay by it. Complete scams as they were requesting money from the minute I got to the hotel. After going through the online policy with the manager asking him to show me where it says in the package I bought that I can’t use the pool he couldn’t show me. He then offered to give me 50% off of the $214 package AFTER I already bought the other package so I could use to pool instead of view. The view is great but not worth what I had to go through to get it a few hours of sun and water. Responding the comment below: I appreciate the clarification below. Would of helped if the website was as clear as you are making it now. The all caps is a great touch. If you do not want outside guest in to use the pool, simply state it in each packed as 'access to the resort and pool' maybe confusing to some readers. Nothing specifies 'NO ACCESS TO USE POOL'. I'm helping you out for your future guest for clarification :) Hope this is more helpful to you.

It was a heaven like experience. Thank you very much for a good time. I highly recommend people stay here — it is a bit of a drive but it's so worth it!

OMG! Heaven on Earth…! A relatively long (2hrs) from the airport, my wife and I were shown around the resort while we waited for our villa to be ready… The close attention to details in the design of the resort, the breath-taking views and the stunning main pool are simply breath-taking… The entire resort is not actually on a big estate, so do spend time to walk around the resort and enjoy the furnicular rides. The river offers a nice cooling stroll in the mornings, and the restaurant is to die for in the early mornings… The sun rises and the view from the restaurant is great. We stayed 2 nights at the resort and felt that we should have stayed more… Each villa is a complete haven by itself… And there is really no reason to leave the villa at all. The views are just as nice and allows maximum relaxation… Will definitely be back again!

The whole experience at the Hanging Gardens of Bali is nothing to compare to other resorts. I have been to many hotels around far east before, but trust me this is one of the most beautiful destination you can consider especially for honeymoon or anniversary. It starts from the outdoor reception, where they welcome you with a drink and a hot towel, then two separate elevators will get you to your room while going through a beautiful scenery in the forest. The villa was perfect as expected and as shown in pictures, the private pool was clean, bed was extremely comfy and the bathroom is big with a hot tub and special amenities. The outdoor private area with the minibar and coffee machine make you never want to leave outside your villa. Breakfast is very well presented with many options, room service is professional and the resort's pools are awesome. Room rates, dinner, massage and all other services are EXPENSIVE, but they are worth EVERY DOLLAR you pay there.

Well, having seen the Eagle and The Heads decided to visit this hotel in Bali.

This hotel is really cool. Oh, how cool he is.

All in order:

Cons (yes, there are such) :
-Transfer from the coast. Don't believe your eyes when you watch Google maps. These are the most miserable 30 km from the airport — it's 2 hours on the Bali roads. Two hours.
"Still, you're in the jungle. Be careful. Our child especially nowhere and not walking managed to "hook up" the leech.
-Nearby passes the road (by the way on it and take you to the hotel). Sometimes you can hear the sounds of the car signal.

But still this hotel consists of 99.9% pluses:
Species. There's a jungle around. And the back of the Temple beam.
Reception and service. Everything is at a very high level. Worthy.
Accommodation. Again, everything is decent.
Villa. Well, you have to say about the bed separately. Super mattress. I slept like a baby all day. Otherwise, there can be no claims to the villa at all. A separate pool. Several recreational areas. Spacious bathroom. And a gorgeous view of the jungle from the window.
-Breakfasts are delicious. The juices are wonderful, freshly squeezed. Surprisingly, even morning coffee they have good. It's almost like a coffee shop.
-Dinner with live music. It's solid.
-Cleaning the territory. It's all clear.

Spectacular place in the middle of the jungle. A 30-minute taxi ride from Ubud. Beautiful pool and beautiful the Riverside Villa with private pool. Very nice staff.

The view is priceless and walking down to the river is absolutely stunning! The 3 course meal was good, but the truffle fries that come with the steak were not made from scratch and didn't contain any truffle or truffle oil. All in all, a pricey but relaxing experience.

Good: view was stunning but thats all to it. Bad: food was very mediocre for the price. Expected much more from such place.

I have been to many nice resort hotels and this one takes the Cake. Many nice surprises. I am cheap and never spend money like this, but I have to say the stay was well worth it.

We stayed in riverside villas for 5 nights. All fantastic. All the people of the hotel very kind, friendly, and they always want to help you. The food is rich, tasty, I recommend trying the dinner the pasta with mushrooms, tartufo a ✌️. Massages from another world (our room was bringing a gift 60 min massage balinese for a couple) with oil of frangipani. The room with private pool we really feel royalty. And the romantic dinner in the pool was dreamy. Happy in our stay honeymoon.

I must say Too far, I didnt stay here so I couldnt give you any information about the room ect. Suitable for honeymoon couples, private villa. They allow you to sit with minimum spent.

They were yesterday. We met sunset. Great place. Tasty, the portions are correct. Fish fillet liked it. Seafood salad. Margarita Pizza for Kids.

Amazing stay! To say the least! If you are looking for an Exclusive experience in Ubud or Bali — look no further! The villas are amazing of course. Buffet breakfast was included but all other spa activities and meals are extra.

Dear Hanging gardens of Bali, do you value customer service? I guess you will answer this positively as you are after all in the hospitality business. However, you make every single one of your customers do mental arithmetic for every single item on your menu by not showing the prices inclusive of tax and service charge (the latter I would even like to decide myself depending on whether service was worth it or not). Please consider being a customer friendly business throughout, also when your guests open the menu by showing the actual price instead of a ++ price. In doing so you can help abolish this scam-ish and outdated practice of counting on people's inability to calculate prices correctly.

It was a beautiful location. But for the price of the room there were a lot of issues. Our one door wouldn’t lock and then the main door handle actually fell off our door when we tried to get out of the room! Then when we tried to call for help our phone didn’t work so we were stranded in our room for a couple hours until we finally figured out how to open the door… It was unbelievable! I seriously wouldn’t believe it either if I didn’t experience it. Plus everything in the hotel is extremly overpriced, for two glasses of low quality wine it was 70 dollars USA. There are other places in Bali for better quality and better priced. Not a recommended hotel in my experience.

My dream has been become two wonderful days in paradise.

Unique villas resort at a unique place — in the jungle above river — it is perfect relaxation experience. It is nice to swim in a private heated pool after wake up.

Located in a slightly remote, the pool is not hidden enough, the price is high, CP value is insufficient, the staff is friendly, exquisite meals!

By far the hanging gardens is the best villa experience in Bali, the place is stunning. Staff are so pleasant and attentive. Food is amazing drinks are great, villas are private and there is just nothing else in this world like it. Monkeys keep you entertained so much wild life around to watch and enjoy from the private pool, can't wait to return… see you soon guys thanks for this out of this world experience!

Hotel in the middle of the jungle, wonderful to get up in the morning watching the monkeys play in the trees, that is to keep in mind that these in the middle of nature, so there is a kind of small reptiles called Gekko that do nothing but it is normal that you hear P Or the nights as they are usually on the roofs of the cabins, an unforgettable stay, in fact I think Q is difficult that another hotel can improve this experience, the service, the staff and everything they offer excellent.

The Hanging gardens of Bali is a gorgeous, secluded resort nestled into the lush jungle, about 30 min from Ubud. The staff was incredible; so warm and inviting. The main pool is two levels and truly breathtaking, very instagramable There are 44 villas and each has a pool. Our room was the riverside villa and I enjoyed the private pool and terrace. One of my favourite parts of the experience was the cable car we took to our room instead of an elevator. I would recommend indulging in a spa treatment while here, it was definitely a relaxing experience for me. My only criticism was the quality of food at dinner. We had assorted sashimi and while some pieces were okay, there was some salmon pieces which were not fresh; they had a bad taste and smell. We also had a wagyu tenderloin which was very mediocre. I don't mind spending a lot of money on a meal if it is excellent and I just didn't feel that the quality of food matched the price point. Breakfast is much better than dinner. Overall we had a wonderful experience and I would definitely recommend staying here.

There is no way around arguing about the beauty of this place. It is stunning. We also received an upgrade upon checkin which was great. However, for a hotel like this and also with then upgraded room there were a few things that shouldn't happen: 1) Communication before check-in wasn't great. Confirmation email didn't include check-in times. Nobody was reachable on the given number on three attempts and 3 days past until I got a reply to my email. 2) The mattresses on the sunbeds in our villa weren't 100% clean (or at least didn't look like it) and even had a few (cigarette) burns 3) We also had the floating dinner in our private pool which was a great experience. However, some of the items just didn't have a high quality (like a the meat and cheese platter). Rather replace them.

Highly recommended for you who look forward for a comfort — elegant and private resort. They have main infinity pool which one of the best pool in the world. Literally should try to stay in here.

There are cheaper hotels in Bali but, few can top the beauty of this remarkable hotel and the fabulous service provided by the staff. I loved it so much I've been here on three separate occasions and I expect to be back again and again.

The most beautiful, romantic hotel I've ever stayed at. I've never been so relaxed in my entire life. Split your Bali trip into jungle and beach segments and make this your jungle stop. Excellent service, excellent food, excellent spa, and a funicular!

Really amazing surroundings, beautiful rooms with private pool. Main pool is top. Food was somehow a disappointment. The spa experience was magnificent.

Great location, feeling part of nature! The view from the room is unbelievable and the all day sound of the river makes you peaceful. Improvements in some things can be done but in front of this jungle seems details.

This is now officially my favourite hotel in the world. The setting is divine — food is fantastic as are the cocktails. The mind boggles how this place was built and the story of how it was is amazing. I will be back later this year!

The hotel is very remote and in the mountains of ubud. Really nice and cozy. Service is excellent. But the quality of the building isn't as high as some of the other hotels considering the price of this place. The rooms are overpriced and it's mainly due to the pool to be honest. The pools are beautiful though and present excellent photo opportunities.
