In fairness my expectations were too high. We previously bought a luxury escape package at Ritz Carlton which was superb and exceeded expectations. It was probably twice the amount too. I personally would not return here. It’s not ‘Bali’. The food and beverage options are limited and ordinary. The restaurant chairs are either wood or rattan without cushions. The main venue is exposed to the elements and there is nowhere to get out of the wind. If it were to rain I wonder how Maya would cope. (? ) The lobby area is dark and depressing…. Underground metro station meets Clockwork Orange 🥺 The bathrooms have toiletries but no moisturiser or body cream. The service and housekeeping was excellent. The LE package averaged AU$200pp per day, accommodation, breakfast, lunch/or dinner, and an evening cocktail. Good value for most travelers.

A perfect ending to a perfect holiday. Everything about this hotel was perfect. I could not have asked for more. The rooms were well equipped with everything you needed everything from water down to a sowing kit. The staff here are very pleasant and friendly. They went above and beyond for me and my friends during our stay. The pool and the views from the pool were beautiful. We attended the gym and yoga classes during our stay which we really enjoyed. The food here is also superb great variety, the desserts are very tasty too. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Beautiful resort. Has a bit of a private vibe; never the feeling of being overcrowded. Spotless clean rooms! Relaxed atmosphere, very attentive staff and the food is good to. Would highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a place to stay in Sanur that is.

I came here twice and spent 2 nights each. So far, this hotel is the most comfortable hotel I ever came to. You’ll get to see the beach directly behind the hotel. Note this, enjoy the sunrise from the beach. It was beautiful. Room is really compact. I love the way they arrange the layout. It’s brilliant. Bathroom is really neat. Building, architecture, and the interior are remarkable. Restaurant is located next to the beach and pool. They even have some tables floating on a shallow pool. Food? Not excellent but still okay. Experience the modern beachfront hotel among balinese culture in this resort.

One of the few upmarket resorts in Sanur. The room is of good size. The lagoon pool is Long and narrow and is shaded by the building. Nobody swims there as most guests prefer the main pool for the sun and the sea view. The breakfast is good. Every morning there’s a free 1hr yoga and the teacher is good. I would recommend to try their massage during happy hour as it is of good rate.

Great hotel with great staff.

Hote is very good, there is no minuses. And the location is perfect, there a lot restoraunts around, very easy to call a taxi or uber. Place that you want to come back again! (vacation from March 2018)

Very beautiful and modern resort with spacious and soundproofed rooms. The room design exceeded my expectation. I recommend this place to anybody who are looking for relaxing vacation to stay at this hotel. They offer free yoga classes every morning. Breakfast buffet takes place in restaurant facing the pool and ocean so you can enjoy refreshing breeze while eating. Lots of varieties and egg choices as well as fresh fruits. Aside from three restaurants in the resort area you can find other good places to eat just outside the hotel. Stroll along the street for Bali shopping experience. Loved everything about this resort and the staff always happy and ready to help :-)

It was an unforgettable stay at Maya Sanur. Honeymoon as you can possibly imagine. You will be greeted with a cool towel and a delicious cocktail. Likewise with always friendly staff. The cleanliness of the entire system is tip top. The service unmistakable. A modern facility that is not in typical Bali style, but exactly our taste. Here is worth laying on modern and small details.
The in-house bar is a bit more expensive, but unbeatable from the ambience. The Treebar is already something special and you can just let your soul dangle with a good cocktail.
At the spa we were really pampered. Again, a great service, pleasant atmosphere, cleanliness and people who understand something of your craft.
From the location it's great. A small supermarket is oblique to the opposite, here you get everything you need. Shopping of all kinds is within walking distance. As well as various restaurants. There is something for every taste here. Highly recommended is the Hardy, a shopping mall with everything to buy on the street, but more cheaply. So does the foodmarket. If you walk out of the hotel, right along. It is a path of about 15 minutes, but here you get super local specialties. More upscale Italian food, with the best ice cream ever, you get at Massimo. Just heavenly.

Some of the best tasting food I had in Bali, the prices are a bit higher but the food is worth paying for. Really nice staff.

We had one of the best family stays in Bali with Maya Sanur Resort! It's very very strategically located. Hotel is very accesible by car. It's near the beach, shopping areas and restaurants. The night view of the hotel is just great, and its seaside bar is just awesome! Room is very nicely decorated and everything feels just right. Hotel itself is not too big but it's very clean with very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent!

We had a perfect stay at Maya Sanur! We loved the Lagoon View room which was large and modern with a great balcony to relax on. All the staff was extremely friendly and helpful with anything we asked for. Breakfast was delicious with so many choices. We had a few lunches and dinners at the Maya restaurants which were all outstanding. Overall, we could not have asked for a better stay.

Incredibly beautiful resort with a modern feel while incorporating aspects of nature and outdoor living. Every single detail in the design of this resort has been thought out carefully which makes for a very pleasurable stay. Our hotel room was by far the most beautiful room I have ever stayed in. We were also really impressed by how good the food was at all the on-site restaurants. No need to go anywhere else!

Beautiful hotel that goes from the main road all the way to the beach, with nice pools and lots of greeneries. Our room was very large and comfy, the bathroom had a massive tub and the balcony felt very private. Service was on point and we got a free upgrade. Location is around the busiest area of Sanur so pretty much ideal, without any noise as rooms are away from the road.

Hotel terbaik yang pernah saya lihat. Saya dan suami datang untuk makan di sini. Suasana sangat romantis, pemandangannya pun cantik. Harga minuman standard, tidak terlalu mahal. Tapi harga makanan cukup mahal, namun enak. Sebanding lah dengan view dan suasana yang disuguhkan.

Small pool is the only hickup. Staff amazing. Modern. Good breakfast. Lively street location. We enjoyed it as a family.

Maya Sanur has an unmistakable personality of peaceful open spaces, unhurried movement and the freshness of natural greenery. This was apparent to us the moment we stepped into their vast lobby, graced by ever-smiling staff. The reservations team had two lovely surprises for us – a room upgrade to a lagoon access room and a couple photography session voucher with one complimentary photo frame! Architectural perfection and thoughtful touches like a mirror edged with gold motifs, a congratulations cake on the table, an evocative painting on the wall and a complimentary spa kit on the bed greeted us when we walked into our deluxe lagoon access room. The bowl of welcome fruits featured a strange local specimen (salak) that I’d come to love later. We tiptoed into the bathroom and were overjoyed to see a lovely bathtub with glittering lamps on either side, rose petals, bath salts and bath foam. But the best part was pulling back the curtains to reveal a wonderful seating area outside that took us straight to the long strip of paradise we’d seen earlier. Since the rooms on either side of us were vacant, we practically had the pool to ourselves. Lying in that lagoon with some music on our phones and a view of the trees around and above us was going to be a rare pleasure. Our room also came equipped with a variety of personal care amenities and a beach bag woven from cane.

The Maya is gorgeous. Very well thought out space that feels more like an experience than simply a place you're staying at. Designers were very deliberate about their choices making it a treat to stay at this hotel. Additionally, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. I would love the opportunity to stay at the Maya again in the future.

A lovely hotel on the beach. Well designed rooms with very private balconies. Superb staff. Yes, blinds do come down to separate the bath area from the sleeping area.

I didn't stay in a room here but I had lunch at one of the restaurants. The hotel looks amazing! There are beautiful rooms right on a really long pool that stretches for what seems like a few hundred meters, with amazing hanging garden walls. Would love to stay here next time I visit. Staff at lunch were friendly and the food was good.

Reception and valet parking staff were very good. Other staff were officious & ill-informed about their jobs: ie security when entering or leaving didn't seem to know what to ask & whether or not to let you in… & how about that entrance… like trying to get into the Tower of Mordor! But what has really moved me to write a revue was the 'breakfast'. The breakfast menu lists the usual offerings clad in their variations by nationality. They sound delicious, tempting. And that's the end of the illusion. 3 attempts at soft boiled eggs… from 8 eggs, 2 were ALMOST soft boiled. Juice of the day in a shot glass. I had ordered a juice, not realizing there was no choice involved; staff were shocked, & forced a very grumpy bartender away from cleaning to grudgingly make the WORST papaya juice I have ever had … no ice & seeds, giving it a most foul flavour. The bread was stale, and they didn't know to make toast with it. The cheese & charcuterie turned out to be cheese ends they must have bought second hand from the local pizza parlour to save money and the deli meats were baloney and more baloney. Nothing arrived at the same time, there was very little of it, it was bad when it did arrive, and there was nothing to wash it down with.
