I have stayed at many different Marriott hotels and other brands owned by Marriott; I have no hesitation in saying this has been my BEST Marriott experience. The hotel has luxurious lobbies, rooms, bathrooms and restaurants. The food is ridiculously scrumptious and the spread is worthy of a king! The cleaning crew works round the clock to keep the hotel spic and span. Above all is the hospitality of the crew. The legendary Calcutta hospitality oozes from everyone, from the front desk, kitchen staff to housekeeping. I highly recommend this hotel to all travelers and especially the expatriate Bengalees visiting loved ones.

A perfect luxury experience A great location, clean rooms, and impressive public areas but what makes the JW Marriott Hotel — Kolkota stand out is the friendly staff & their professional service. I stayed there for a week in Apr ’22 and had a room on the 16th floor with an incredible view of the city skyline. The room was a good size but the extra-sized bathroom was a big plus. Whether it was breakfast at the JW Kitchen, a sushi lunch at Vintage Asia, or drinks by the Infinity Pool Bar, the food was consistently delicious and the service was prompt and attentive. I’ve worked & stayed at some of the best Forbes 5-star rated hotels globally and can confidently say that the attention to detail and professionalism was second to none. Some of the service highlights were Reshma (Housekeeping), Rohit & Ritu (Concierge Desk), Anchi (Spa), and the breakfast servers. This hotel will always be a stop for me whenever I’m back in the city. Thank you all for the warm hospitality, and the memorable experience.

This was a fabulous experience in this hotel. The rooms were very comfortable, spacious and lavish-planned. Food quality is even good and the surrounding is also greenery and perfect for taking pics and capturing elated moments. So, overall this was perfect experience for our vacation. 💐

We use the health club and it has amazing equipment’s. The trainers are too good and knowledgeable. Goutam sir takes good care of our workouts and ensures our progress. Would highly recommend.

Had a wonderful time. Lovely and soothing ambience. The staff were very welcoming and amiable, never let us feel uncomfortable for being a newcomer. Heavenly spread of finger foods, salad and starters. The main course was delicious and desserts were sinfully fabulous. The concept of unlimited beer and wine was very nice.
Some little suggestions the variety of main course can be improved and ice cream should have been available upto the end of the buffet since it was heavenly. Also the ac should have worked a little stronger.
Overall a delightful experience and a must try for all.

Went for midnight buffet day before yesterday, there wasn't a single starter and ice cream in dessert. Very very very limited food, that too some food were over. Although, food quality was decent, 2 items were horrible. Jw Marriott bangalore is awesome, so is Mumbai one. This one wasn't so good.

Overall it was a very nice experience at the weekend! Yes, again we visited for a family lunch time on Monday, September 3, 2018. Found the same warm welcome and excellent services. Food was excellent again. Great hospitality! The staff are absolutely excellent. Everyone was so helpful and fun to chat with. Thanks for all the great job you are doing.

Amazing architecture, ambience and rooms of course. One can see a nice view of the city while taking a nice bath in the bathroom tub. Also, the breakfast place is really pretty. It also has a swimming pool area on the top, where people with membership can go for a nice relaxing swim. It also has a low key night club underground. It's not amazing but doable in terms of the music and less crowd.

JW Marriott Kitchen: Delicious Food and Marvellous Ambience. I loved it very much and will recommend other to try at least once. I am quite sure that if someone tries once, he or she will not forget the experience about it. Uncountable Items have been served along with live counter. All the items are so tasty and healthy, I can't express in word further.

The behavior of the chef was below expectation. Food quality is also at best ordinary. Already shared a detailed feedback with the management. So, not repeating them here. Having said that, the ambience is great. By the way, we took buffet dinner there.

A 5star hotel as it says, full of class and etiquettes, no doubt in it. But on the food part I shall be a little critical. We went for a corporate party and as per the ambience is concerned it was perfect. Well mannered staffs and good hospitality and services. But as I said on the food's part the taste was a little bland as I felt. The spread was no doubt huge but the taste of the food is not something I would die for. Being a foodie who has visited many such restaurants be it 5star or 1star for me taste matters the most. And I will like to say that I was not that impressed on this part and especially the dessert which is always my special look out zone, I am quite disappointed in that field too.

It lives up to its 5-Star status. It is super luxurious. The rooms are really nice. Has great amenities. The breakfast buffet is hands down the best one I've ever had. But the lunch and dinner buffet can use some improvements.

This 5 star property is surprisingly awesome with quality foods and excellent service. The hotel offers highly professional customer relationships. Strongly recommend for family visit.

It was my first visit to JW Marriott Kolkata and I must say that we were overjoyed to see the buffet layout just like kids in a fair… starting from the cocktails to the deserts, from the cold salad spread to the Asian dishes every item was delicious and exquisite. I just have one tiny suggestion about the tiramisu served… rather than serving it in a big bowl like a bowl of cream, arrange them in a glass or a smaller bowl coz it didn't do justice to the Italian delicacy… other than that everything else was unique and the staff members were really helpful. I would like to thank Ipsita from the lounge, who helped with in providing me change for a personal requirement! Great team JW Marriott.

Its a nice hotel in the heart of city of joy. Well decorated hotel. Food are too good. You will love the place. The hotel is clean and provides u great hospitality. The buffet was great. Wen I say food was great (i mean it :) ) Overall experience was awesome. I'll recommend dis hotel to every couple and families:). You wont regret, just be there:)

Though a very short business stay, but loved the place. Very courteous staff. Beautiful rooms. Was upgraded so it was even better. The breakfast spread serves all kinds of cuisines. Located in the new town it is far off from the landmarks of kolkatta.

Luxurious hotel located off EM Bypass, ahead of Science City. The interior is quite chik with super fine design and opulent decoration. The ball room is also majestic. The in house staff service is above par. This abode contains all the components of any super fine star hotel with obvious flamboyant price tag. The external design of the building is off beat, catchy and bears the signature style of Marriott Group. Visiting the hotel is quiet and experience.

We went to vintage Asia. The ambience is good. It was dim lit and nicely setup. The service is very friendly. They assisted us a lot in the choice of food. But the main drawback is very limited menu. Not many options for the vegetarian people.

I stayed there for 1 night in early January. Entrance is Grand, and staff at entry is courteous. Lobby is really good with nice decor. Check-in process was fast. We were in room within 10 minutes. Room, though small, was tastefully decorated. Bathroom was USP, and toiletries were good. Room service was also quick, and food was great. The top floor lounge was under construction, but ground floor lounge was operational, and high tea served was also good. I had to leave early morning, so couldn't have breakfast.

We visited the Marriott for our anniversary. I wanted to make it special for my wife so it was a right choice. The lobby is opulent and catapults you into a different world altogether. The lighting in the lobby just brings out the place. We had visited the Thai restaurant. The food was good but a bit spicy. The staff is quite courteous and friendly. My son couldn't eat the spicy food so the restaurant manager compensated with some complementary ice cream for him. All in all a nice place to visit. They also serve brunch with alcohol for 1500 bucks which is not a bad deal. If you want to eat at some place special then this is a nice place to visit.

My wife and I stayed JW Marriott 2 nights last month. Very nice and clean hotel. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay at JW Marriott and recommend our friends & family to try this nice hotel. Breakfast was awesome. Definitely we will stay at this hotel when we will visit Kolkata again.

The best star hotel you will visit in this city today happens to be this one. Not worth visiting anywhere else after you visit even their restrooms forget the super amazing pool! Outstanding interiors! Excellent staff. Though will be bit high on pricing. But really worth experiencing again and again!

It surely looks stunning and marvelous. But food quality is not up to the mark. The price they take for food is not good. But I would recommend you to visit it once in lifetime, just for the experience.

The property is really great with luxury strewn all over. As my uncle & aunt had come from the United States they actually enjoyed their stay at JW MARRIOTT. The breakfast spread was actually good and tastefully decorated. The continental part was really awesome. The food was yummy. The courteous & friendly staff who are a ready help always. The view from the room is actually breathtakingly beautiful however compared to the room sizes of MARRIOTT properties in Go a and other places the room size was a bit on the smaller side. Definitely would like to host my select family & friends for lunch or dinner. The restaurant part & the breakfast being served in the lobby males it very public wish they could add an element of privacy.

I was here for a day for business conference. Huge property. Massive ballrooms and banquet halls. Breakfast spread was quite amazing. Quite rooms. Food is average. Staff is courteous. Rooms are big and amazing. 40 mins away from the airport.

We had lunch in this hotel, and my word, the food served here is excellent. There is buffet system available and you are free to choose your meal from a variety of dishes. The dessert and cakes are the two things one must try here. Overall it was a very sweet experience for me and my family!

The staff were all very courteous. The buffet spread was quite sumptuous. I particularly found that their dessert spread was very good, specially as the variety on offer was very much varied. If one likes buffets while dining out this is one place that is definitely worth trying out at least once.

We went to vintage asia for dinner. The ambience was great and very peaceful. Even though the menu has very limited vegetarian options the waiter was more than happy to suggest something out of the menu. The service was very prompt and the waiter encouraged us to try something new which was really tasty. The taste ambience and service is what you would expect from a 5-star facility. Really satisfied and looking forward to visiting again.

I'm staying at the JW in Kolkata for a work assignment. The staff is very hospitable and always willing to go the extra mile to make my stay better. I've been here for a few days and many of them remember my name and room number already. I'd definitely recommend staying here for any extended trips in Kolkata. Even if you live in the city, the hotel has several restaurants available for walk ins. There is always a variety of food from several countries at the lobby buffet.

Ambience really good, food mix experience. Sweet or dessert really awesome and innovative. Service OK. May be because of rush not able to concentrate on 1:1 guest. Overall happy. But as a brand could have more expectations. Compare to Bangalore one, Kolkata need little bit more concentration.

The place looks mesmerizing just as expected from a place like this. Glass interiors, fountains, lovely dining places and good couch, cordial staffs u name it, everything is there except good food. There r live counters of pasta and noodles. The spread was huge. We liked the biriyani. The section of desserts was huge too. However once u start having them u ll not find them all tasty and will skip from one to another. The chocolate mousse was nice.

The atmosphere is very attractive. They offer buffet lunch at moderate price. The variety of choices is excellent and mind blowing. But you have to reserve well in advance, other wise you are likely to be disappointed. Of course you can try it against cancellation like railway accommodation. They are booked hundred percent everyday.

As much as the name rings of grandeur and opulence, the fine dining part is okay. The spread is really good. But needs 3 days prior reservation. Food is delicious and service is good too. The affordability of rates makes it special!

Saturday Brunch Buffet: I had given a 5-star when I had first tried the buffet at Marriott Kolkata. So I decided to take my elderly parents and in-laws for the Saturday Brunch Buffet. Things fell way short of expectations. The food was excellent. The spread was excellent. BUT the desserts counter was more than half empty by 2:50 pm. By 3:15 pm, there were just 5 or 6 items at the counter. Requests to refill the counter did not work. The staff kept telling us to try the sweets we did not want to. And they would not refill the items we had seen earlier and wanted to try. If the buffet is until 3:30 pm, then the spread should be available until 3:30 pm. Then there were a couple of flies that kept sitting on our food. We had to keep swinging our hands while eating, and even throw away some food. Needles to say, the elders in our group were not impressed. What could have been a great experience for our 9-member group just did not happen.

Buffet 1200rs but not so much collection in Indian dish. But u can have Italian and other continental dishes too… But I mainly focused on Indian dish. And the staffs are too good. And friendly. Interior view is simply mind blowing. Must go.

The quality of hotel is beyond expectations. But the food service is not as good as other things. The snacks and juice were served very late. The quality of the dinner was average. That quality wasn't expected from a big hotel like JW Marriott. Though the quality of the breakfast was extra-ordinary, but the service wasn't good. I have ordered a staff some food in my table during breakfast, he completely forgot that. I hope for a better service next time.

Latest five star hotel of Kolkata. The JW MARRIOTT Kitchen is offering a great offer on buffet and has been an hit ever since its inception. Options are varied and mostly continental. Serving is smooth and sober. Staff courteous and friendly. Super awesome interiors and decorations. Enjoy thoroughly with friends or family or with loved ones. This place will not disappoint.

Went for a buffet lunch and we were greeted warmly by the staffs. The starter menu was Ok type and it look dull if you are used to buffet where grilled items play a huge part. I like the noodles they prepared after I choose them the ingredients, a special feel after all. The pan fried fish was awesome so was chicken in cranberry juice. Dessert has lot to offer and tastes good. Overall, if you up for the ambience or a 5star tag go for it… but if food interests you more there are lot more options in the city!

The ambience is good and the buffet menu spread is huge. From Indian to Italian to Chinese to live food counters you can Indulge your taste buds. Dessert options also innumerable. Current rates very attractive. Advisable to book in advance.

This is a wonderful hotel in Kolkata. Mr. Faraan is a very kind staff member in the JW Kitchen. He is friendly and cheerful, the food in Marriott is worked till perfection. I enjoyed the food and desert's out here and recommend this place to all. Keep up the wonderful work! Also thank you once again to Me. Faraan who helped us throughout our visit, as it's not everyday you get such wonderful staff members in hotels. Also to each and everyone in Marriott you all are wonderful.

Nice place and good rooms but a lot of improvement is needed. Not up to the standards of the Marriott group. Staff is underrated and very slow. Room equipments like coffee machines too are faulty and the staff too can't operate them. The guests are not informed properly about anything in the hotel and a lot if inquiries are needed to make. Food is good with a waste spread of cuisines.

Stayed here for 3 weeks on a work assignment and was very much at home. The staff is amazing, Pama in the spa does amazing massages after a long week at work. The buffet has a huge selection and I never quite know where to start. The only issue I heard was from a colleague who had several issues with the air conditioning. Highly recommend this location.

JW Marriott might have been bad thinken of because of its super budget buffet. However, the property is very well kept, and has a commercial aura around it. Vintage Asia is where I had gone, and loved the awesome food served to us there. All in all, an awesome experience at this newly established luxury hotel.

The Swimming pool was the best I've ever been to. The food was amazing. The non veg buffet wasn't that good but the in room dining service was amazing. The rooms were spacious and beautiful and clean and you just want to stay there forever. I live in Kolkata and I went to stay in JW Marriott for 3 days. It was an awesome experience and without a doubt the best Hotel in Kolkata.

Certainly the best atmosphere even among the 5 star hotels. The staff is very nice and decent. Their behaviour is lovely. One can simply enjoy hours over here and it feels like a home. Food served in the buffet has a huge variety of almost everything and yes, it is delicious. I just cannot find out any complains even if I try too. Hospitality is wonderful.
