It's maintained by corporation of Madurai. We can't expect too much here. For economy we can choose it.

Very Good 3 star hotel but they don't allow 3 persons in double bed room, although if you want to stay then they add extra charges for mattress. So overall cost become 1800 but if you take 3 single bed rooms which is really nice and furnished then you have to pay 2000. So I prefer paying 2000 is good rather paying 1800 if you want a luxurious room. Also Bathrooms have more space as compared to room.

Quite. Peaceful. Big rooms. Efficient team and excellent hospitality. Families must stay.

Very basic hotel. The bathroom is bigger than the room! Go for it if there is no place to go elsewhere. Location wise its exactly opposite to the main gate of Madurai junction, good for travellers having connecting trains or next day journey. Overall a very basic and below average hotel.

Old Hotel with bare minimal props. Almost everything is in dilapidated condition, very poorly maintained infrastructure. However as the place is straight opposite to Madurai Railway station and one kilometers to Meenakshi Temple. If your expectations are bare minimal, you won't have any regrets. If you have options, go for a better one. Don't go by looking at pictures, as they don't match with reality.

Nice and decent hotel in Madurai opposite to railway station. Well spacious and good service provided here. Good choice for family stay.

Hotel Opposite to Madurai Junction. Sometimes the room rents are high. Centrally located and fairly neat. Reception and stairs leading to I floor are so nice.

Quiet place, closer to Railway station. Room services to be improved. Atleast, they should serve Coffee/ tea in compact flasks. Cleanliness of the rooms to be improved.

Hotel is maintained in good condition. I personally feel happy to stay in this hotel. More than star hotel. Advantage is opposite to railway station and it is in the heart of the city. Room rent is also modetate. Overall excellent.

Very decent place in your budget and ready access to railway station. Staffs are polite and informative. Rooms are neat. Maintained well.

I would love to give them zero star. As my experience was worst than the worst. The a. C. Wasn't working but still we experienced a waterfall from right in the middle of the day. And the whole room was turned into a mini lake. The TV just showed few south Indian channels with no signs of a Hindi ones and those English movie channels were equal to nothing… the power sockets showed no evidence of electricity in them. And they said it's a govt. Guest house. So is this how a govt. Guest house works? Room service is so pathetic… call for them and they would come after 1 hour.

Hotel is average. The rooms are depressing with very less ventilation and light. Service is ok. The worst part is the bed. The quality of the bed is bad. Very uncomfortable. Gave me a back ache.

Water leaks, the room is dirty. I do not recommend this hotel.

Personal Experience — My parents traveled to Madurai and had booked this hotel 3 months in advance. They had booked for 2 days. Hotel check in is at 12PM. My father called to confirm that they will be arriving in the evening since the train is running late. The receptionist/hotel authorities told that they had to cancel his booking since he didn't show up by exact 12PM. He is 70 years old and was harnessed unnecessarily. I would recommend to stay away from such fraud cases.

Toilet is not up-to the mark. Room service is poor specially at night. Price is high. Never suggest anybody to book this hotel.

I had a very bad experience with this hotel specially the manager. Worst person doesn't know how to treat senior citizens. I mentioned them in advance that there will be 3 adults who will be staying. My parent's check-in to the hotel around 9:30PM and they were told that hotel will provide you an extra mattress not the bed. Which is unacceptable. All were 60-65year old they this manager doesn't have courtesy to give at least a single bed extra. When I talked to him he was like "Mam I can't arrange a bed for them we only provide mattress". Such a insane person. When I talked to the Goibibo person to help me. The Representative told me that he tried but the manager told him they have opted for the mattress and now he can't do anything. Please don't book this hotel staff doesn't know how to talk and manage…

Good hotel and service for. Family stay. Situated just opposite of railway station and near to all major attraction at Madurai. Very friendly staff and cooperative management.

Big spacious rooms and bathroom but lacking in the facility as poor analogue TV channels no bed side switches It puzzles me its neither a heritage hotel nor a modern one Nobody says whether it's Madurai corporation owned or private leased.

Great hospitality, as the staffs were very helpful in getting good food & coffee, that I was able to take care of my wife who had underwent LASIK surgery in the famous Aravind Eye hospital, Madurai now. The location is advantage. Just opposite to the Railway station. No lift is the difficulty for senior citizens. Small rooms. A/C hardly works. However the service is good.

Just opposite to Madurai Junction and that's a main PLUS. They can provide Breakfast, improve room amenities and technical defects. The washrooms are good just big as the Bedrooms.

Good thing is its opposite to the railway station. However rooms are small. No lift facility available, which is mandate for older citizens & ladies. Room service & Reception is good.

Just in front of mafurai railway station. Belongs to Madurai municipality and that is why govt staff are not very much cooperative Large bathrooms and very reasonable rates. Rs1300 for ac double bedroom. Mattress is of foam (sponge) and bedrolls little bit shabby.

Very average hotel. It is an old hotel, which has never upgraded itself for modern needs. We stayed there for just one night as a stop over. For comfortably stays, one should avoid this place for sure. The room had ZERO ventilation and bad beds.

The rooms are so so… the bed is not comfortable… AC is of low ton which is not enough to cool the room… the building is upto first floor and the rooms are in 1st floor so all the rooms especially the bathroom get hotter… Water is not provided in the rooms for drinking and they are switching off the Wi-Fi connection after 2 to 3 hrs usage… only good thing is the hotel is nearby the station.

The best value for money also good in infrastructure.

The Hotel RaniMangammal Residencies is one of the fine Hotel to stay in madurai. The hotel is very close to major pilgrimage and shopping spots. The hotel is just opposite to Madurai Railway Station. The Hotel is in the place called as Ranimangammal Chatram which is well familier in madurai. Now it is renovated and modified. Their Hospitality is very fine don't. The best choice to stay in madurai that too near junction and bus stand.
