They have to improve in many ways 1. I had the party hall booked for my engagement. The food wasn't good literally all the guests have felt sick (vomiting and diarrhea). The food they gave for tasting and the food they kept were totally different. 2. I gave them the list list of guests were out of 7 room 3 rooms had 3 guests in it but weren't provided extra bed but we are charged for it and made to pay for it 3. They didn't say they building is week. The block were they have their swimming pool the wall of the build have literally fell from the ground to the top. 4. In the suite room the switches aren't working I won't recommend anyone to stay there.

Really disappointed with the service. Heard amazing things about this hotel. Wish we never stayed here.

Not The Leela we know. Leela Palace, Chennai is the worst property we have stayed out of all the preferred hotels & resorts properties. Would not recommend anyone to waste their money staying at this property. They are turning heads only with brand name ‘The Leela’ but the fact is the management of this property has nothing which carries that brand. Bizarre Management. Their staff is filled up with all New Trainees who don’t even have basic ethics of how to speak with their guests. Very Poor Food and Service Quality. The worst during the entire stay. You may have as much concerns you have but their answer is only ‘sorry’ for everything. Wasted our money & vacation by staying for 6 nights at this property. We give this property a ‘0’ Star managed by Mr Chengappa & Team…

I visited the Spectra for the Lunch Buffet. They have a good option on the Non Veg side but lacks option & taste on the Veg side. Staffs were helpful and service was quite good. Veg food options lacks almost every where which is the downfall. I will rate 4.5 for the Ambience. 4.5 for the service. 5 for the Beautiful location, no one can beat that. 3 for the Food options & taste. 5 for the hygiene. Thanks Leela for a Beautiful Saturday. If get an opportunity, will surely come — provided we have good number of options for Vegetarian. Cheers.

Had buffet in spectra. Spread was good at par with similar class of hotel. What u get other than good food is blissful sea view. It was very great visual treat. We did not realize we spent solid time.

Good rooms and great location but this is where the story ends. In terms of service looks like property is managed by someone else definitely not Leela, they can't go so wrong. It is not department specific it was across, be it Housekeeping, room service, restaurant or front desk. Worst is room phone god forbidden if someone has to order food in room or ask for any service you need three attempts (not rings) before some one picks it then the call is transferred to relevant department which doesn't pick as well then on fourth attempt there will be promise to call back but sad that doesn't happen either. So in short keep buffer for 1 hour before ordering food. And many more such things, try it to experience it.

It was a total classy hotel. I did not go to any of the rooms but I did check out the hotel. It was amazing. The food was great for a continental taste, especially the deserts. The hall was decorated with amazing guidance and I just loved the bathroom.

Visited Spectra in Leela palace… services are really good. Interior is very luxurious 5 star for services n ambiance for food is 4 star. Definitely comeback for visiting d other restaurants :)

I love this place out of all other hotels in same star class in Chennai. I will stay here again, Just for the service and friendly staffs. I had a wonderful time and unfortunately my stay was short. Next time I will plan to spend more time at the property. I have stayed in Leela Bangalore few times but my experience in Chennai was excellent.

The experience was awesome. Life time experience in such a royal hotel. The room has sea view which was amazing. The service was top notch and unforgettable. I would strongly recommend anyone who wants to experience the palace.

Leela palace is one of the best hotels in Chennai. Rooms are perfect, clean & extremely luxurious. Hotel facilities offers a wide range of fine dining restaurants, nice gym & pool. Staff always very good hospitality all the time. Breakfast is perfect with one negative comment mainly about the Forks & knives which is not clean all the time though I have complained several times. The staff are Normally friendly & helpful except when we were checking out. The receptionist called “Rose” was very rude & unprofessional.

Nice facility. Good rooms. A true 5 star. There is no beach access, so don't come thinking u can walk to the beach. You will get nice Sea view. Food is great.

Hotel is great inside, attentive staff, fancy restaurants. It's a 5 star hotel. It's a perfect venue for conferences as well. The only negative I see is the isolation from the rest of the city (might be a positive for some people). I also wish they cleaned up the garbage from the shore that is visible from the main restaurant and the rooms. It's a stark contrast between the hotel grounds and the outside.

This place provides a great setup for corporate meetings and conferences. I quality of the food is lives upto the name of this place even when serving a few hundred people. The ambience at night is pretty soothing. Overall Leela palace offers a good service with great quality food and the staff is very helpful and courteous. I hope to visit this place for fine dining within the city.

Nice hotel. Very epic deco and majestic. Overall quality was good. Nice service at the reception, however the bars and restaurants could do with a little more professional service… ladies were consistently served last or at least not first. The size of the rooms was good and the pool area is very nice!

One of the best 5 star hotels in Chennai. The interior design is great and the food here is awesome. They have brunch lunch and breakfast menu and the food is good here. The stay here is expensive and I would recommend you too ask for the beach view rooms it's breath taking.

It was generally good. However needs some improvements. The checking in is much too slow. The room cleaning was not up to scratch as The kitchen was infected with cockroaches. The used soap and shampoo were not replaced and the TV in the bedroom simply didn’t work. I hope this review is of any help for the management to improve the standard.

Visited the Chinese restaurant for dinner. Service is great. Limited seats in the restaurant. Food spread is average. The billing system did not work. The result was chaos. The staff managed a hand written bill after half an hour. Restaurants at this hotel are not anything to write home about. Better to choose other venues.

Amazing place to stay. Love their jacuzzi… The buffet is great… It used to be better earlier when they were serving sushi and sashimi… beautiful property nevertheless and very well maintained… Very friendly and warm staff as well.

We had a world street food lavish buffet with our team. It's was an experience for all of us. We had a opportunity to taste authentic food from different parts of the world. Hands down an amazing place! Attended a reception here at the Royal Ballroom. It's in the basement. Wouldn't expect such a magnificent place underground! Service is too Good! The food was good; I would expect more though. The drinks also was on point, ambiance was nothing less than Royal. The hotel did not have a old worn out look unlike most hotels that are as old as The Leela. All in all, if you're looking for a great celebration at a great place and if you're willing to splurge, The Leela is the place to go.

I was here for two days business trip. Quite big property. Staff is very courteous. Food is good. Pretty impressive interiors. Banquet hals are huge. I would say it's luxurious. Rooms are too good. Got rooms facing sea. Amazing view. Loved the place.

The place is a must go, if you're looking for a kick-ass Sunday brunch at this restaurant called spectral. They have a wide spread of food from a variety of cuisines ranging from Japanese to Chinese to Indian to BBQ to Italian to seafood. The deserts too were out of this world. The brunch along with a nice cocktail is a killer combo. The whole thing was absolutely scrumptious. Would definitely recommend the lobster and sushi. It's place was completely worth the price. The place too, has a nice abmbiance as its situated near the beach. 10/10

I've been to five starts in LONDON UK and many other countries around world but the LEELA Palaces hotels is peace of art of decoration and hospitality, it's my it is Pleasure staying at this hotel my room number was 332 sea view and Great break fast, launch and dinners brilliant, this hotel must be 7 starts not only 5 starts, they are the best in whole in India and world too even better than 5 stars hotels in European countries.

I attended a wedding here and loved the food. The entrance is grand and gives a majestic feel. One of the top luxury hotels in Chennai. You can spot a lot of foreigners too.

Nice and tasty buffet lunch. Many non-veg varieties and good spread. Pure vegetarians may feel little tight as items are selective.

Great ambience and service. You will experience a royal treatment from the staff and also the environment. The cost of stay is competitive with other major hotels in the town but the food is very expensive.

This is the best hotel of Chennai. The eye for detail in the finish of this amazing building is outstanding and can easily compete with any European hotel. Staff are very well trained, friendly and helpful. The restaurants are absolute top class and the buffets in the Spectra coffee shop are superb! Sunday brunch is simply wow! My clients who stay at this hotel always say that this hotel is the proof that in India top quality is possible, if the staff is managed well and given the right training.

Everything about this place is just AWESOME! The rooms are great. And I have to mention the beds are super soft that you just sink into them! And they also have a pillow menu! (which is so cool! — but didn't try it). The interiors are so well done and very well maintained. Hats off to the staff! About the food. I think they should change their breakfast menu coz I went there after a 6 month gap and found the same food for breakfast. However the taste was Good! Overall I would give them a 5/5.

Amazing hotel with excellent service. They have really thought through the little things to help make sure you are 100% comfortable. This is a luxury hotel. We stayed for a business trip. The location is quiet but not too far from the hustle and bustle of Chennai centre. Great pool area too. Huge baths in the room too.

I was staying at The Leela Chennai between 16-19 June 2016 (Room624) with my wife. It was a short break for us, away from routines in Kuala Lumpur. It was an excellent experience. All their staffs that we encountered were excellent and wonderful. Always with a smile and actually took an extra effort to get things done for us. My special thanks for the supevisors in the Spectra restraurant and their waiters. The concierge staff were good. A definite high recommendation to anyone and already looking forward for my next trip in December. Dr. Vijaya Sangkar Jaganathan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

This is a very nice. Clean hotel with nice pool and gym. Rooms are modern. Restaurants are great. Breakfast selection is as good as it gets anywhere in the world. Staff is incredibly proactive and helpful. They stop you if you show any hesitation to make sure you're getting the help you need.

Great hotel with some amazing views, and excellent ambience. After all, it is a Leela Palace. The food was great, with a wide spread, and the live stations were good too. The rooms are excellent and well maintained. If it is a family trip, make sure you have your keycard on you, without which the elevators cannot be operated. The Wi-Fi network was very fast, and the Ethernet option is also available for those working on the go.

I have stayed at many 5 star hotels around the world, this hotel was one of the best. Beats vegas in every way other than there isn't a casino. The cleanliness and the staff are on another level. If only they would open a Leela in NYC Would stay at any Leela resort again.

Excellent hotel with ultra luxurious interiors. The setting makes you forget about the modern troubles and gives you a taste of how it feels to be in a palace. The staff are good and very friendly. Love the BMW pick up and drop service they provided to me. Definitely a place I would love to visit and stay whenever I am in town.
