One of the beautiful places I have ever stayed at! Mesmerizing 360 degree view of Thekkady right through my window was just breathtaking. Right from the beginning of check-in the staffs were super friendly and hospitable and made sure each moment we spent there was special. Our parents and us were equally scared to go for a trip during this pandemic situation. They made sure we felt safe sanitizing each and every step we take. They sanitized our luggage and everything. They also mentioned that they open the resorts block by block and when the guests check out they close that block for 48 hours disinfecting and sanitizing everything in that block. At night they helped me surprise my wife with a romantic candle light dinner on the top deck which throughout the day me and Manu (manager) was planning secretly without my wife knowing. They have a nice bar, swimming pool, library and a gym (even though they are not open now because of covid guideline). The staff really follows the "Aditi Devo Bhava" or "Guest is God" attitude. The most important thing that attracted me and will keep us coming back soon in future is the view of Periyar river and Thekkady from our balcony. Thank you Manu, Shine and Suresh for making our lockdown travel so exquisite️.

The fourth hotel in my trip in India and it is definitely the best staff efficient and friendly restaurant very good and even if it is a bit decentralized, with the landscape that you see from there what goes in the second floor, a fantastic swimming pool pity to stay only one night!

Hotel is in a beautiful location. Hospitality was awesome and food was great. The manager named 'John' was really helpful in arranging things. Its a great place to stay and have fun. Presently bar is not available but it will be opened soon by September or August. Food is bit expensive as expected from a 4 star property. Overall experience is a 5 star.

Stayed for one night, enjoyed it however the electricity was down several times. There was a traditional dancing which was nice to experience. I would say this hotel is best for families with children.

Really lovely place. You truly feel that you're covered by nature. The location makes it distant enough from main roads such that you can't hear road traffic etc. The pool is well maintained and the restaurant serves a good spread. I'd probably recommend that you eat outside because it's nothing special.

Absolutely Fabulous place to stay. Gr8 hospitality and awesome stay. Amaizing food. Love to stay for 3 to 4 days.

Breath taking view is what makes this resort unique. The ride up the hill might challenge some smaller cars but it's worth the effort. The restaurant is decent but nothing worth talking about or I would even say don't bother eating for there. The rooms are well appointed and each with its own balcony. The pool is beautiful and you guessed it right has a beautiful view.

New Year EVE (2018) : Amazing. I'll recommend for you. But IF YOU LOVE YOUR CAR more than your wife; think twice before going there. Resort is awesome but approach road is worst. Solution — There is a alternative road, road is Okey-okey & narrow.

This was the worst resort we stayed at so far. It is not worth going to this place. Road to this resort is very very steep and broken badly. I cannot imagine any road worst than this. Food was average, room was not at all 5 star hotel standards. You have to walk a lot to get to your room from front lobby. Staff not very friendly either.

Service is worst. Restaurant management had great attitude giving more importance to foreigners. They told to pay the amount for food before actually taking it even before taking plates. If they are asked for chapattis they will ask you to pay first then you will hardly get it. Pillows conditions are worst. Rooms are also not at all luxury. Club activities are also not like the resort level. Local hotels are even better. Overall disappointed by services, staff and facilities.

Linen are dirty. Restaurant staff not at all friendly to Indians. They ask for money before taking plates. Service is poorest. Most horrible experience during the tour.

Feels like you are in a rain forest. Great views, excellent grounds, and an expansive pool area, give you plenty of spaces to lose yourself in your thoughts, or be engulfed in the beauty of the setting.

We arrive at the a hotel a family of 6; we had a very worm welcome from the staff, the rooms were nice and the view from the hotel is amazing. The only problem was, not the hotel folt, is the gest from India that make a lot of noise very early in the morning. The food was very good.

Went here September 2017 via bus. Needed to take a rickshaw or bike or smaller vehicle up the hill to get to resort (could walk it but might take a while). View is breathtaking. Food quality and service was amazing. Didn't get a chance to use the pool but it looked very clean and amazing. They also had a games room for chess, table tennis, carrom, etc.

Breath taking views, luxurious amenities, astute customer service, and a location unlike any other; Poetree Sarovar was nothing short of a five star experience. With an abundance of scenic views of nature all around the resort, the one thing that marveled me was the design and ambience created for/around the swimming pool. Management definitely needs to be commended for their efforts in maintaining the property so well, as well as for their attention to details. This was evident from the attitudes of the employees as each and everyone made it a point to create rapport. The only suggestion I could think of to improve my experience would be to have some sort of maintenance done to the road leading up to the resort.

The staff was really rude! We had booked our rooms. But our rooms were given to other guests. We had booked valley view rooms. But they changed it. The property was good and Maintained, The food was good. It would have been 5 stars if the employees were a bit trained.

This is the best property to stay at Thekaddy! The infinity swimming pool is perfectly located and is the center of attraction. The walk to the cottages is very lively and the greenery is well preserved. Rooms are beautiful with nice view. Although the size of balcony could have been better. Food is also good.

Good place to stay. Food is good compare to other resorts and restaurants but its very expensive. Pool side is peaceful and they also arrange cultural activities. Service is bit poor they need to check thoroughly and provide all necessaries in room. After the multiple calls they placed bathroom bucket and slippers in my room.

It was us who realized it and called the hotel in the evening when they said they do have it with them but no help was offered from the hotel. So keep a track of your stuff and this is surely a place to be with family and friends.

Had a really amazing stay at Poetree. I was with a few friends of mine and we stayed there for three entire days. We had earlier booked two deluxe cottages through our agent. We reached the resort by around midday and were greeted with welcome drinks. The staff were absolutely warm and friendly and were tremendously helpful throughout the entire stay. The resort is situated on magnificent hilltops and the view from my room was spectacular. The food was perfect just like everything else there. The pool absolutely rocks!

Okay, I reached hotel at 12:30, when we came they greeted us with a welcome drink, I guess it was because the road to the hotel was very bad. Then while checking in we could upgrade our room to the next highest by paying 4000 more to the 12000 we paid at the time of booking, but the staff and manager calculated ₹15, 000 for the upgrade which means we had to pay ₹27000 for the next room. Ofcourse we didn't pay and continued with our rooms. I reached my room, and there were 3 men inside my room to clean it, which took them 1 hour and I kept waiting for that too. I asked them for a twin bed and what we got was a king side bed with two blankets. I agree the view is breathtaking, as when you enter you see the mountains with an infinity pool just below the lobby. They even had quite a few in house activities like hi tea at 4:30 camp fire at 7:30. What I know, about in house activities is that they are free of cost but instead I was asked to pay AFTER having my tea that is ₹200. Okay, no big deal. The activity room was poorly maintained. The staff was not co-operative. Worst sarovar portico I have ever stayed in.

It's the excellent resort I have ever been to! ✌️ it gives me a come back feel! The main thing in the resort is the location its located in a hill area where we could have an excellent view! And it has a very good ambiance :) good time to spend for nature lovers!

It is located in such God forsaken place that even Google navigation stops co-operating with the guests who have done the booking there. There are no sign boards or markers too. People go to Thekkady to visit Periyar lake, so it is advisable to stay in some hotel which is closer to Periyar tiger reserve. Though the property looks good but location of rooms is very inconvenient as there are no vehicles to take guests to their rooms. Old, sick people and pregnant ladies should not even think of going to this hotel. The food is not good and breakfast is tasteless. Staff is courteous.
