Good 👍 very spacious with clean beach.

A wonderful weekend getaway with family. Beautiful location — right on the ocean and the best class hospitality. Food and selection on food is good, however it can definitely be improved. Loved each one of them who took care of us and made us feel special — would definitely be visiting again. Leela Spa is also good. Very talented therapists. They really do take care of you very well.

This hotel is one of my favourite. Fantastic service and excellent food. Designed by the famous Charles Correa, the rooms are beautiful and perfectly blends with the landscape.

The best stay ever the hospitality and the service was outstanding I will recommend this hotel to all my friends definitely I will come back again I can rate this hotel more than 5 stars.

The Leela is a great blend of ambience and amenities. The place, accommodations, service, staff, the mix of local and continental/western/Chinese food all were great. Absolutely 5 star! It was an absolutely awesome experience. I will be visiting this place sooner than later.

For drivers no food and doormetry, no drivers toilet it's a common horrible toilet, parking place to toilet 150 metre.

It’s a super and extraordinary hotle.
I happen to stay one night in Nov-2017 & I loved the hotel too much so have come back this chef shibu, rajmohan, Lexin, and all cafe chefs time to for 7 nights this time in july-18. They have friendly & helpful staffs. The best is the Ayurvedic spa they have. & also they have very experienced Dr who have taken care of my stay with the Ayurvedic treatments. Pls make sure you get Dr Vidya and Dr. Mubarak to have a CHK on your body to solve all your body aches and pain… The Ayurvedic food is also awesome… the Dr and the Jayaraj chef customized the food accordingly based on the body type…

Had a wonderful Kerala Trip this summer All thanks to TheLeelaKovalam for the pleasant stay. I must say that it was all worth staying in this beautiful beach resort which is built on the cliff top and spread over acres of greenery around. A warm traditional welcome from the hotel with a tikka and Coconut water. The entire hotel had beautiful wooden furnitures with wooden carvings all over. The hotel has beautiful peacocks roaming freely in the garden. The rooms were beautiful facing towards the sea. The food was really awesome specially the KeralaCuisine. One thing I personally liked was that the hotel chef's used to come out during the breakfast, lunch and dinner for a round and used to guide the guests through some lovely kerala dishes, specially the variety of Puttu, Appam, Kerala, Vegetable Stew, Payasam etc. I have almost tried everything. The Authentic Curd Rice used to be Yummm. The hotel also organises cultural programmes like Kathakali, Mohiniyattam, Bharatnatiyam etc. In the evenings which makes your dinner time very delightful. It has a children recreational facility. The hotel has the Ayurvedic Spa which is a must try especially Shirodhara which makes you feel relaxed and stress free. Me and my husband had no mood to come back home from Kerala but as the saying goes every trip has to come to an end which is the beginning for the next one…

Have been here 10 days. 4 more to go. The Ayurvedic spa experience has been outstanding so far. The food at the club cafe as part of the wellness diet is sooo good — hardly feel deprived of anything. The staff are all so kind and friendly. The people of Kerala are very proud of their city and truly treat their guests like god.

I wish I could write all the issues I faced.
In short! If you are looking to stay here, you got to be really patient whilst seeking any room service!
They take minimum 30-40minutes with multiple calls for them to get in action, as simple as getting an extra blanket (many more issues I faced) The phone operating system at this massive 5* property seems to be out of order (it certainly works, if you are dialing for the laundry service it gets connected randomly to different rooms) Which means! If you wish to place an order for your food, at least for 30-40minutes It won’t go through. You will have to walk out to the reception and place your request. If you are here for a short stay, I would never recommend this resort.

Very bad experience. This is not 5 star. Dated rooms even though we had a room at the club house and unkept grounds. Everything needs a paint. The pool area Is crowded and badly laid out. I had to leave my table at meals several times to ask for assistance. No one at any point asked how everything was. Don’t go there if you want service! Front of house staff are non existent and very very rude. The club house front of house lady is beyond disgusting and has an attitude. Carried our own bags at check out. If you need service forget it as the phone was constantly engaged so you can never get through and ask for anything. The two redeeming features are a couple of the chefs who really cared about the food and did everything to make the meals special and the Ayurvedic centre (which is run separately). All in all I will never return. Not worth the money and not relaxing. Left wound up and feeling it was a wasted few days.

Would never feel like a 5 star hotel. 1. There is no proper air conditioning in the restaurant. 2. They charge 100rs for a bottle of water labelled rs19. Actually they are not permitted to charge above mrp. Taj has botyles labelled at 125. Its the same bottle but these guys are cheats. 3. Food is ok. They will make u indian food in western style. The taste is very very mild. Been to other restaurants and they cook regional foods in regional styles not like this. They are expecting only forginers.

Considering the standards of such a great brand, I had a very mixed experience at Leela Kovalam. It was my 4th anniversary and my wife wanted to enjoy the great buffet at leela Kovalam. We reached their at around 9.45 at night. When we started portioning our food, I was disappointed to see that salad counter was almost finished. I had to skip my salad. I took rasam soup to start with and found it to be cold and not even warm. After it when I proceeded to continental section, their were only 2 pieces each of grilled fish and tenderloin which was not hot also. The same was communicated to their chef and he ensured that it will be refilled but to my surprise for half n hour, the cheffing dish lied unfilled. Honestly me and my wife came with lots of expectations but we're disappointed with the quality of food.
Not to forget to mention the staff who were very courteous throughout and felt sorry for it as well. But couldn't do much to our experience. However, they managed to get us a bouquet and a cake to cut for our anniversary. But my concern is, that gesture cannot be paid for the buffet experience. 1500/-++ is not a small amount and honestly have to reconsider my visit to their restaurant again.

It is a good hotel with a great service. Yhe rooms are a bit oddly styled but the nice food makes up for it. The view from the hotel is great. This hotel is a must visit one if you are in kovalam.

Good Place. They need to work on their services which at most times is unpredictable. They are a destination property where all the honeymooners come and have all the time in the world to enjoy the property. If you are conducting business meetings or conference then don't expect the speed of service of a regular city hotel.

Leela kovalam is a great place for holidays. Spread in more than 300 Acers it is very well maintained Property. It has 180 room with all the luxury. Rooms are very cozy & comfortable, nice Toiletries, and great view. Food is excellent, great choice of north Indian, south Indian & continental verities. Service is too good, staff is too courteous. The Club wing is really worth the money, exclusive infinity pool, nice elegant Restaurant if you don't want to be a part of hustle bustle of other guest and Buffet. The other facilities in Club is the evening high tea, spa, library & living room.

Beautiful. Scenic. Great food. But the club area of the hotel is a better peaceful option with more advantages and facilities.

Terrible experience ever. We had an awesome experience three years back and till today the most delicious food I had was from Leela. But at this very moment right from Leela 3 years down the lane I should say the worst experience ever. It was a treat I planned for my sister and when we reached here even though we booked table today morning we had to wait for 20mts, though there are tables vacant. Dishes are not filled. Non veg dishes had no piece and only gravy. Tables were not neatly arranged. Cutleries were not kept. Totally a horrible experience. We will not recommend this place any more to anyone.

Yes… Rs 1500 for non air conditioned room is affordable… good price… I stayed with my 3 friends for 1 night at this hotel with this price… for this price affordable with hotel condition…

Have been a annual ritual to stay here for a weekend. While I belong to Kerala, from a place not much different from kovalam, its the design that seem to pull me in each time. The Tides restaurant poolside is a good dining spot. Better on weekdays to avoid a potential wait. Perched on top of a cliff with furious sea smashing against the rocks at its apex, the sides soothen the sea n the beach begins It certainly sticks to the standard 5 star hotel amenities and services, what's unique is the architecture that goes with the topography. Slanting down towards the kovalam beach, the structure gives every room a uncluttered view and in many of the rooms, one can walk out through the sundeck, no matter which floor you are in technically. The chalets are equally charming and my favorite. Though they are the cheapest stay available, the grass n breeze seem to have kinda healing effect There are many more hotels n resorts that beats Leela in both latest amenities and services. But none can beat the iconic appeal that Leela holds. Featured in most postcards depicting kovalam, it is etched into every one 's visualisation of kovalam.

Good hotel need to work on room particularly mosquito in evening and also add some north Indian delights everyday now just keeping only on Sunday and desi tea like of sarvana bhawan will be delight for desi indian like me.

Love it every time we visit. Customer service is at its peak. A bit too pricy, however the view honestly compensates for it.

Worst hotel to stay on earth. service without smile is what being extended to guests. the rooms are far off, and only 3 buggy's are available. you need to wait at least 30 to 45 minutes for buggy to transfer you from your room. i visited the hotel on 16th Jan2016 and have cursed my agent for having recommended the hotel. the service is pathetic… hotel staffed by unhappy people. The room charges appx 20 to 22000 is just waste of money.

We have just returned from the Leela and I prefer equal again there
drive. It was our first holiday for years. The hotel has a beautiful location by the sea,
the view from the Baalkon is stunning and I enjoyed the sounds of daily life
around much. Man is alone and yet among people. Our hotel room was very clean
the towels changed several times a day, fruit regularly supplied the condition, more than friendly. And we were thrilled with the treatments and yoga in the Spa. Despite diet, we have had no hunger and we enjoyed every day especially on the tasty breakfast buffet. The Terrasencaffe is located on the rock directly on the sea, nevertheless we were able to observe a squirrel nest during meals and were we excited about the efficient family with 3 children.
I found yesterday, that remains my phone and the drawer of the dessert.
I very quickly received information about the Fund, and proposals for transfer to Germany. Am very grateful the ménager and the Hauskeeper.

I think the best Resort in Kovalan amoung the all. Really fall in love with this resort! Leela group offering Bar, Spa, Gym etc. The finest sea view is mainly attracting peoples to this resort. And this like five star and cannot be affordable for an average man. Facilities provided good and very heigenic.

Kovalam Beach Hotel. Stay away from this hotel. The manager Saravanan is nothing more than a cheating thief who will make up any excuse to rob you of your money. Do not leave your credit card details with this hotel. Saravanan is rude, treats western visitors as cash cows, be prepared for hidden costs which they force upon you. Power supply is via a generator so it smells at night and you never have hot water power etc. If considering, avoid like the black plague. We had booked 2 weeks in advance, paid upfront, but left after 3 days into the stay. Would rather lose the money than be treated like the management staff have during my stay. The food is terrible you can find better places to eat 2 minutes walk away from the hotel. Even if the hotel desided to give us 2 weeks free to stay, I would rather decline and chew on my eye balls that than to stay in that hotel again. Anyone who reviews this hotel and gives it anything over a 1 star, must be immediate family. During our short 3 day stay, I have never seen a hotel manager with so many complainst from customers. In certain reviews they state they have fridges mini bar… what a loads of BS… service was terrible, however I felt for the staff who reported in Saravanan. When they say the have sea front views, bring your telescope and that is what you will need to actually see the beach. There are only two rooms avaible with a sea view but nothing to write home about.
