Perfect in every way! Nestled in the middle of the Masinagudi forest this place is a gem. Shruti who is in charge of reservations, was very helpful and made many recommendations to help us plan the stay. And Miriam made us feel welcome and ensured every guest requirement is met. The food is super delicious, with a lot of variety at each meal. The rooms are spacious and beds very very comfortable. The showers are amazing too. One can see deer, mongoose, langurs and many beautiful birds through out the day. Rajesh is a very knowledgable naturalist, we did the bird walk and safari with him and were amazed at his spotting abilities.
Absolutely recommend this place and hope we can return some day and stay longer. Thank you Vikram and Anushree for creating this little paradise for city dwellers like us.

Jungle Hut, Masinagudi, is a wonderful place to stay. You can just enjoy the peace of sitting on a veranda and watching the wild deer, the birds and monkeys nearby, or you can go on jeep safari, guided walks, bird watching, swim and play table tennis.
The family and staff who run Jungle Hut are exceptionally welcoming and the food is fabulous. It is one of the best places I've ever stayed.

I can’t recommend this place highly enough
Set in authentic jungle surroundings. The huts are roomy and extremely clean with huge showers and tea and coffee making facilities.
Sitting on the verandah in the morning drinking a cup of tea watching the wild deer and monkeys grazing and playing right outside your hut is pretty special.
The staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
Every day, without fail we were served 3 excellent meals plus desserts which never failed to please!
If I had a complaint is that they don’t produce a Jungle Hut cookbook!

I visit this place in December. It's close to masinagudi town. Location is brilliant. You get to see a huge mountain in front of your room with a splendid view. This place is located in midst of nature and it's super cool here. I loved the way they have lit the place in night. You get to see deers near your room strolling around your room in the night. Room is great with a rustic look. Very neatly maintained. Food was delicious here. Overall a great experience.

Two words — Mesmerizing experience! We had a wonderful time during our stay at Jungle Hut. Everything about this place deserves the best rating and appreciation — the location, environment, rooms, food, activities and above all the hospitality. In my opinion, one should not miss a chance to stay here! It is perfect for families and friends alike. Special mention about the picturesque surroundings and our Bandipur Safari which the Jungle Hut team helped us with.

They offer buffet food delivery here. The rooms are very neat and clean. Bathroom is so clean that mirror reflection happens when I look on the walls and on the floor.

Beautiful getaway for family and kids. The staff are lovely and hospitable. Good food, the nature around you, peace and tranquility make for a relaxing weekend trip. Must visit… The best time to travel here is during the monsoon, if you like the rains, because you can watch nature at its best.

Situated amidst lush green forest, Jungle hut is not a place to miss. We stayed at their delux room, which was comfy and secluded. The place is home to beautiful spotted dears, monkeys and wild squirrels. Elephants also visit the place during nights. The hotel staff are very friendly and go out of the way to help you. Food is awesome, a variety of items to savour. This place is just a drive away to Bandipur as well as Gudalur. Highly recommend this place for nature lovers.

Had been to this Resort with family and friends, overall we had a good stay and we can spot deers at our door step. Manager Mr. Rajender was very kind and provided good hospitality for us. I would rate 5/5 for food.

Loved my stay here. Sonu, Rajinder and the staff all looked after us very well! It was a great spot to do safari and birdwatching trips seeing lots of animals. It's very peaceful, the rooms are great and food is delicious — happily recommend!

It was the homely reception at Jungle Hut which touched our hearts. The hospitality from the management was overwhelming. The resort is located at the foothill of Ooty. You will enjoy the visitors coming from the forest. You can listen to the music of jungle every second. The hospitality is very good. Food options are limited but very delicious. Worth staying!

A place to forget the daily tensions, worries, routine boring life and have a peaceful, calm, pollution free accommodation in jungle. The staff here is excellent they treat you like your family. The place is surrounded by deer's. Ive Seen other wild animals like elephants, bear, s and peacocks in the morning times. You also have other games like carroms, Table tennis and swimming pool.

My first trip to Jungle Hut was in 1986 and I have been going there almost EVERY YEAR and at least twice. I know the Mathias family which owns and runs both Jungle Hut and Jungle Retreat pretty well. The two resorts are my all-time favourite holiday destinations though I do miss the wilderness of the 1980s and the 90s. But both Hut and Retreat have retained the old charm and maintained hospitality standards which are of a very high class, but constantly evolving with changing times. After all these years I still wait eagerly for my next visit!

Awesome place to sty and hangout for the week end. Its just at the border of karnataka and tmilnadu and houses wide variety of flora and fauna. Lush green and peaking mountains with the touch of wilderness makes it an ideal place for wild life enthusiasts. On request the resort authority can arrage wild life safari to the nearby jungle which will give some awsome sightings of wild animals and birds.

The place is secluded with almost no room service except water. Food is awesome but not much to do there. Delux rooms r really good but standard rooms r very average. If u go in a group it could be fun with the bar n bonfire. So all in all d drive is worth and the place is peaceful with some awesome food.

This is my very secret place, it's absolutely superb, the position and scenery is outstanding — no stunning, the rooms exceptional, the food is to die and go to heaven for! So please don't stay here, it's my secret, you are not allowed!

Tranquility. Remote location with no access to mobile/TV network. With deer playing in front of your room you will never want to leave this place.

Nestled Amidst the mountains and mudumalai forest, quite serene. It's a best place to halt your busy for moment and relax. The wildlife is just outside your cottage still secure. Jungle Hut is a resort with a difference! Spread over 22 acres but with only 16 cottages to occupy, it's bang "in" the forest! You have wild life in front of your cottages, in plenty. No fancy features, everything basic for survival, u actually feel like u r living in the wild! Clean to the letter T! Awesome hospitality of the staff coupled with gud, simple n sumptuous food, makes u definitely feel "at home". Can't say more… U need to experience it!
