Worst hotel I have ever stayed. First, we booked our room at Shillong Guest House, but later they told since no rooms are available at Shillong Guest House, we have to go to New Shillong Guest House (same owner). We had gone to New Shillong Guest in morning (around 10 am). They told no room is vacant now, so they will not be able to provide room before 12 noon. We kept our luggage, given my ID card and gone for Cherapunjee. We came back at 8pm. We checked in a room with tariff 2500/night. I am listing down all the worst thing we faced. 1. The wall of that room is made by plywood. So, you can hear all the sounds from both left and right side's rooms. Too much irritating and no privacy. 2. Room's lock from inside is very bad. After locking, it was taking almost 5 minutes to open. And we were lucky that, we noticed it. Since we had early morning check out, we had to struggle with that in morning. 3. They have not given minimum things (towels, soaps etc. ) which all hotels provide. 4. Bathroom condition is very bad. I wish I could have taken photos. No hanger for hand shower and it is twisted around the tap (? ). I think that was not tap also. I don't know what was that because water was touching the wall as well while coming from that tap. 5. Behavior of staff is very bad. Since we had to check out in early morning, I asked him to return my id at 8pm. He told that ID is not with him now. He will return it later.
