Cosy and tidy place and very nice and helpful owner.

Nice owner and fresh looking room. They offered to us food from a fridge and access to a nice, clean kitchen. The bathroom needs to be updated.

Amazing guesthouse! Very clean and has great accommodations.

Only stayed one night, but it was really nice, the other guests were friendly and not obnoxious, the owner was very friendly, and it was well kept, clean, and stocked with good foods. I would highly recomend!

Staying here was the end of our wonderful journey in Iceland, a quiet place, large rooms, a bathroom for three rooms, breakfast included making use of the products that the owner leave at your disposal, use of the kitchen for lunch and dinner, very well equipped. Perfect to start or end your journey… and a paao's famous, but for my taste I would not recommend Blue Lagoon. The price is cheaper than the average in Iceland. As a negative point, the doors make some noise, and the ground floor rooms get more noise with the occasion of the coming and going of cars during the day…

Location : Very center of Grindavik, Blue lagoon was 10 mins drive away, very close to petrol stations and Netto discount super market Check in : Easy but please be aware its only after 4 pm Room : Very spacious and light, nice decor, comfy bed and pillows Wifi : very fast No shoe policy at house — we were fine with it Shared kitchen : Nice utensils, tea/coffee making facilities, plenty utensils and cutlery Shared toilet & bath : very clean Breakfast : Bread, spreads, milk, tomatoes, ham & cheese — a basic but ok Power went off during the night, so couldn't take a proper shower as I think the hot water must have ran out, we had an early morning flight to catch so dint bother.

Me and my sister had the best time here in Grindavík. The owner and her son were so lovely to us both we couldn’t ever thank them enough for all their help! The house was lovely and clean and food being in the fridge to eat breakfast was great! Would recommend to anyone who wants to visit Iceland to stay here! However, don’t make the mistake we did and not hire a car, because public transport is expensive and all the places you may want to visit are not in walking distance from one another. If anything they are a good hour or so drive! But Margaret helped us as much as possible and gave us a good number for a shuttle company! So we was lucky in that sense! 10/10 x.

We stayed at Grund guesthouse our first night in Iceland. The owner is so nice and welcoming we felt at home immediately. She showed us places to visit and the fridge was full of good things to eat (not only for breakfast), there was even beers!
The house is lovely, well decorated, very clean. The room with the bathroom is perfect, we had a great time at Grund. Thank you!

Absolutely LOVE this guest house! The homeowner is Very nice, speaks excellent English and will help u out with adventure destinations and places to eat!

Very nice place where you can feel comfortable like at home. The owner is very friendly and warm, she gave us all info and maps about all best places to visit. I recommend that guesthouse for your visit close to blue lagoon. Best regards.

We stayed in the guesthouse "Grund". Very nice guesthouse. The owner, Margret, is extraordinarily nice and helpful. We felt very comfortable there. She made a very good recommendation for a Café at the Harbour. When we arrived she asked us whether we have seen a Northern Light during our stay in Iceland — we hadn't and this was our last night. And the Best comes now: at 22:15 she came over personally to guide us to the place where we can see it. This was an experience of a lifetime. We stood there watching our first Northern Light, were bone-cold but happy! We are so grateful that she showed that to us! This is a very nice, personal guesthouse which we would recommend a 100%! Moreover, we had everything we needed for breakfast and enjoyed our stay. Thanks for that great and extraordinary experience. We hope to return one day!

Very nice clean place. Our room was located at the loft and we had our own kitchen and shower room. Breakfast was simple and good. The only downside was amount of eggs that you can cook, one egg per head. The landlady was kind enough to meet us after midnight to show us the room. Wi-Fi signal was strong :)

Very nice hostel with a great breakfast. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The guesthouse is warm and clean. The only small negative thing is that you have to make a phone call to get the key.

Good location, good price.

The best guest house we visited in Iceland. The loft is the best, with windows on three sides and a balcony all capable of viewing the northern lights! It has a private bath, kitchen, and a well stocked fridge for breakfast. We requested a room late one night and our host rushed over to accommodate us in every way. We even called them the next day to ask if they could help another stranded traveler we found on our way out of town. Can't do any better. Lovely home, lovely people, lovely waterfront town.

Finally a guesthouse that exceeds your expectations. A totally pleasant stay with such a lovely hostess (Margret) who was super attentive with us. She really cares about the cleanliness (you can smell the freshness of the bed from far away). Perfect location and overall service. We recommend this place if you don't want to end up to "another average stay". Thanks Margret!
