A nice inexpensive hotel. The staff speak excellent English, told everything and showed, gave maps and guides to Budapest. There, you can buy bus tickets to the center.

The average hotel on the outskirts of town. Well, very noisy plumbing.

When I do reviews of hotel, I evaluate it multiple times before awarding the final score. I wasn't fully impressed with the check in. I was given a room on the top most floor with a heavy luggage which was a let down. I could not avail some of the services (laundry) I was entitled to, as a guest on time. This after repeated requests and reminders with reception staff that kept switching. The only reason I'm giving this hotel a pass is because of the room which was big and worth the price of my stay. The place is also quite and there is bus and tram to commute to city centre easily. If that wasn't the case, this should fallen out of my recommendation list to anyone. 3/5 for me.

I really enjoyed my room on the second floor, it's exactly under the roof, great views from the windows. The receptionists know English very well! Also here's tasty breakfasts in the Helios ;) thank you!

Very nice and very good service. Stopped there 4 times now with 4 kids on our way to and from Romania.

If you're looking for posh and modern, this is not for you. For me, it felt like staying in a 'second home' — cosy, very helpful lady at the reception, someone is there to assist you 24/7 (I had a very early departure flight and the nice lady at the reception assisted me with the minibud transpo that I booked), breakfast is optional and they do offer good options, safe clean and quiet. It's a fair distance from the city centre (about 20 minutes by bus 8E) but I highly recommend this for a relaxing stay.

We were last year and this year we have chosen"Helios", here, everything was perfect: cleaning, breakfast, friendly owner, and c. C. 10 and praise.

Great and spacious accommodations, pet-friendly, wonderful lake with koi fishes, large terrace… Great service and rooms were truly huge! Also very very affordable.

Second stay by Helios and I won't search for any else, it's one of my all-time favorites! Bus connection to the city offers quite comfortable flexibility as well as hotel's location offers silence. Two things good to have — and that's not regarding hotel's amenities and personnel, who are always ready to advice and help.

Great place for a base camp for the Budapest exploration. Excellent both for lone travelers and families. You can get bus tickets right in the hotel, as well as a lot of trip advises and recommendations from personnel. Next time I hope we'll stay in Helios again.

Loved it! Talk about "a breath of fresh air" after two dismal weeks "elsewhere" in Hungary! But. "It's just not British! " Remember that! It is not and never was part of The British Empire so don't go expecting "Britishness! " Although all staff encountered spoke excellent English. Budapest was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Remember this please and as per "When in Rome do as the Romans do" the Hungarians like any other nationality have their own "take" on things. In particular, do not "expect" a double bed. It's just not the Hungarian way. They also have a very civilized attitude to duvet covers. One each (lol). That is correct — one single duvet each even if you are lucky enough to find a double bed! A concept I'm thinking of "adopting" here, at home! Excellent quiet, peaceful, countryside environment city stay.

The hotel is in a quiet area in Buda hills. 15 min bus ride. Bus station is close and very frequent, so access to the city center is easy. The rooms are clean and adequately equipped. The staff is very helpful. Really nothing to complain about.

Pros: 1. Budget friendly. 2. Nice place in Buda hills. Little far from City like 15 min bus ride (Frequent bus service) so its not a negative point for me. 3. Staff is great. Able to speak in English. Cons: 1. Had little difficulty with the room door lock. But that couldn't be a problem.

Excellent hotel for those who are on the machine. Free Parking. To city bus to Astoria about 20-25 minutes. The girl at the front Desk is good at speaking English, give bus tickets, schedule, Hop-off Hop-on. All without extra charges at a nominal price. Breakfast scrambled eggs with bacon, sausages, cheese, milk, juice. Excellent Wi-Fi. All super.

Wonderful small family hotel. We spent 3 days late April with our 2 teenagers. Room very spacious with kitchenette, bright, very clean. Quality of the bedding. Great kindness of the hotel members, interpersonal skills and good advice for visiting Budapest. Quiet residential area very good 20 minutes from the city center which is well-connected: bus + tram. Very highly recommend.

I stayed there for 11 nights with my kids (9&11). The hotel is in a quiet area with good access to the city center. The rooms are clean and adequately equipped. There is a 24 hour reception and the staff is very helpful. They also give a decent discount on longer stays and if you pay by cash. Really nothing to complain about.
