Disappointing. We have often visited Budapest in various guest houses. The hotel was the worst experience. We had a rental car that we still wanted to leave. On arrival we were very rudely advised that we can only be in our room from 2 pm. We just wanted to turn off our luggage, whereupon the receptionist became friendlier. We had to reclaim the room as we had booked with a balcony. We have never experienced the fact that we had to pay at the check in. We only got a small wallet with paid offers. No information about the Wellness centre (opening hours, bathrobe where, etc). Then got ZR. 103 with a small terrace, which was filthy, the overfull ashtray was disposed of by us. We then took a maid,. The superficially cleaned the ground (egg shells and Zigarerttenasches were swept into the meadow, the table was not turned aside, so that it was always cigarette ash and dirt). Table itself was also not cleaned. Breakfast was not 4 stars, liquid scrambled eggs, cold sausages, very sparse selection of sausage and cheese, coffee almost unpalatable, tasted like soluble coffee. Juices more water than juice. In all other guesthouses (2 and 3 stars) we got better breakfast. Near no possibility to go for dinner, Amaretto Restaurant was not the menu as one imagined in Hungary (have been driving for more than 50 years to Hungary). As we have seen, very few guests have visited the restaurant. Good connection with public transport if you know a little bit. Unfortunately one of the worst experiences we have made.
