Such an amazing hotel! so attentive to every small detail. Stylish and modern rooms, perfect breakfast and very friendly staff.

Had the most amazing stay at Hotel Rum, beautiful small touches, great rooms and hotel atmosphere! Would highly recommend and visit again.

Dear Hotel RUM. I would like to say thank you for my amazing stay. The hotel itself is stylish and centrally located. Rooms are comfy and got all the classic facilities you need. There is a inviting restaurant at the hotel, and a beautiful bar on the top floor. The breakfast buffet is also served at this rooftop bar, so every morning you got amazing views over Budapest. Staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful (including reception, restaurants and cleaners). My only minus would be the smell in my room. I stayed in room 102 and we got smell from either nearby restaurant or the restaurant at the hotel (through ventilation). But as I love food, I did not mind to much :) Again thank you, I will recommend your hotel.

Great iconic building so you have a great skyline view of Budapest while enjoying a lovely meal and a drink.

Great hotel to stay in for a city break. Convenient location made it easy to explore the city. Comfortable bedrooms with tea and coffee making facilities. Great breakfasts including cooked. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely hotel in the center of Budapest, with a nice industrial vibe. Comfortable rooms, and a very nice bar on the top floor with a great view of the castle hill and the surrounding area. Friendly and helpful staff. Within walking distance of many restaurants and cafés. Parking is a bit of a challenge, as in the rest of the city, but a neighboring hotel has a parking garage.

We LOVED the Rum hotel! What a gem, a beautiful, smart, fun place to stay close to all the fun in Budapest. The staff were lovely, the room was fabulous and the location perfect, all for a reasonable price. Very much recommended!

We had breakfast at the rooftop. Mama Mia! The view was breathtaking. Nice smiling stuff and great food. Köszönjük szépen.

Ate brunch at the top Skybar restaurant and it was incredibly hot, like a greenhouse. They have to get a better AC system. Unfortunately also had a terrible Bloody Mary, the juice was super thick like a sludge.

Excellent place in a quiet district. Convinient location. Good bar and tasty breakfast. Staff at reception could be a bit more friendly.

Hotel is very modern and clean. Rooms were a bit on the smaller side but we did get the smallest room. It’s very sleek and we got a nice view of the Citadel. Check in was not fun, they do not let you check in early at all. Staff was a tad bit rude when we tried to check in 5 minutes before 2… what difference would it make. But she told us to go sit down and wait for 2. Really? Besides that one rude staff, all the others were friendly. The breakfast was good except that they don’t plan well for a lot of people. Food ran out and took awhile for it to come out. The new bar on the roof had a great view and welcome drinks — get the gin and tonic, delicious! Central location and close to train.

A nice stay. A clean hotel. Friendly staff. It is very industrial for decoration. The bedroom was small and the door made some noise, but since we were a couple and the toilet was behind a wall, we kept the door open. Breakfast was good. The view from the restaurant was good. It is at the top floor, so you can see a but further. It was quiet, so I got a good night sleep. Also a good pillow.

I absolutely love this hotel. The double rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfy. Their restaurant is very good but the waiter who welcomed us was slightly rude.

Fantastic stay staff very helpful and spoke perfect English. Recommend hotel for the contemporary rooms great service excellent breakfast and first class location for sightseeing and bars.

Modern Hotel, quite particular, friendly staff, good breakfast buffet. Good location to walk or to public transport places of attraction. Would stay here again.

Great location! We loved our room, it was clean, modern and well design. Bed was comfortable, only negative that I can mention is the water pressure in the shower and that there is no parking, it took some time to find a place to park our car nearby.

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Staff were so nice and friendly, the location is very central and the decor was amazing. This hotel really made our trip. You'd find it very hard to find a fault and I could not recommend it enough.

Beautiful hotel but the noise in the waterpipes is si loud that it prevents you from sleeping. The staff is perfectly aware of the situation but the rooms concerned are still rented. You have to complain several times and wait for two nights before being offered a new room, smaller but silent at last!

Definitely central to make visits even on foot, the Metro a few minutes.

Good location, great aesthetic and friendly staff. Wifi didnt work at first and we were woken up early by cleaning staff making noise in the corridor outside our room. Breakfast is great and the whole place is clean and looks great. Overall a fantastic experience.

We got upgraded to one of the fantastic larger rooms on a lower floor — it was so spacious and airy with the high ceilings and big windows. The staff were great — very friendly and helpful in English. Would definitely stay at Hotel Rum again next time we visit Budapest!

Absolutely lovely little hotel in prime location! It's quiet, peaceful and clean. We slept really well in the bed, even though it seemed weird and hard when we first sat down on it. Staff is super sweet and helpful. This hotel was everything we expected it to be. Nice touch with the welcome drink in the bar. We enjoyed that alot. I would also say this is the perfect location to stay for visiting Budapest as a tourist. Everything you want is within walking distance, but it's in a safe and quiet area where you can actually sleep at night without being in the middle of the hustle and bustle.

Quirky, modern, comfortable, beautiful. Probably the nicest hotel for the price that I've stayed in while traveling through Europe. Beautiful Rooms. Very clean and well designed. Comfortable bed with duvets, coffee and tea in room, small minibar. Nice touches like excellent light by bed for reading, small throw rugs by bedside, a safe in the room, plenty of cabinets and hangars to unpack. The hotel offers free iron and ironing board if you ask. The bathroom was separated from the sleeping area by large enclosed smoked glass doors. You can't see through the glass, and there is a sliding door for privacy. Not a conventional enclosed bathroom, but it was fun, and different. Provided my partner and I enough privacy when needed. Bathroom had great water pressure and plenty of hot water, a warming rack for towels (and hand washed laundry), hair dryer, soft towels, ample storage. There is a small bit of air conditioning, works weakly. Sometime room got a bit hot at night, but I just opened windows. I was there in March, so weather was not too warm. Wi-Fi on the first floor worked great. Needed the Wi-Fi for work, so I was happy to be on lower floor. Other reviews mentioned spotty Wi-Fi on 6th floor. Did not have that problem. I had no view from my room, but I wanted good Wi-Fi. Was okay with sacrificing view. Breakfast is served in the hotel, great selection. I always arrived right as they opened, so I don't know what restaurant was like when full of diners.

Beautiful, stylish, comfortable, great value! Not the cheapest, but you get great location, service, and character well worth the price. Rooms large by European standards, with good overhead lights and bright reading lights on each side of the very comfortable bed. Enough power outlets, especially along the bedroom counter/desk, with a full sized electric kettle and iPod/iPhone powered speaker for music. Solid windows with full opening and top tilt options to let in air but preserving security. Square can be noisy at night but windows are modern and soundproof, so sound not a problem with windows shut. Bathroom very well thought out with full sized shower, glass enclosure and door that keep the water in (not always the case in European hotels), plenty of hot water with excellent pressure and two shower heads (overhead fixed and flexible handheld). Huge bonus is the headed towel drying rack over the toilet: heated with steam, your hand washed clothes dry overnight and are ready to wear in the morning! Breakfast very well done with plenty of protein and veggies: scrambled eggs, poached eggs with bacon in cups, yoghurt, sliced meats and cheese. Sliced fresh veggies and fresh whole fruit. Excellent assortment of local breads and rolls, all breads really tasty everywhere in Budapest. Free espresso, coffee, tea with breakfast brought to table by polite, friendly staff.

Stayed here for 3 days to visit the Christmas Markets with my boyfriend. The hotel is gorgeous and in a perfect location, very central and near bars and restaurants. The staff were all friendly and helpful, breakfast was good every morning and the room was modern and trendy. Would definitely come again and recommend Hotel RUM.
