Excellent hotel, excellent service, as a professional I strongly recommend. The owner and the staff really take care of their customers. I enjoy a long stay.

Not a good place to stay. Bad room. The only positive thing is the location which is close to Place Des Art, the area of festivals during the summer and its closeness to the downtown.

The positive point is the location and the price.
The big negative is the health of the building. Unpleasant smell, old furniture… And staff not really welcoming but it remains livable for one night.

The boss at the reception was friendly, outgoing and helpful. He took his time and explained everything. The hotel has a really good location untebar at the university and within walking distance of Rue Ste. C. For the hotel's LAGE, the price in a city of this size is great. You are also aware of this in the hotel. For that, you really have to limit yourself to expectations for comfort. But that's just the way it is. From the outside, the hotel looks really pretty. Despite rooms to the street, I was able to sleep well. The Wi-Fi also worked. Shower, sink and curtains were in need of getting used to, but also hanging. I would come back.

Not even a one star place! It is a very dangerous place to stay in. My husband and I have been tracked during our first two days and on the third and last day of our stay, our room was broken and our stuff were stolen while we were out of the hotel… The hotel didn’t even bother to give us a call when the robbery took place. We were surprised when we came back at midnight that we are unable to open our room door, later to know from the manager of the hotel that someone broke into our room… a manager who was extremely rude and aggressive! How come only our room was broken in this hotel that you cannot access unless you have the KEY for the entrance door! I still cannot believe that what happened is real… My husband and I truly regret that we have chosen Casal Bella Hotel for our stay in Montreal… Montreal police got involved and they are investigating this criminal case…

It's a simple hotel, if you have high expectations I wouldn't recommend it.
Pros: It's well located, on an avenue. The room is quite spacious with private bathroom, refrigerator, microwave, TV and individual thermostat. The staff were very nice and very welcoming. They have free private parking but you have to book and, if you don't get to make room, on the side street the parking is free of the left hand.
Cons: If you do not get a room on the ground floor you will have to raise the suitcases by staircase in addition to the entrance to the hotel is elevated (like most of the entrances of the buildings of the city).

Very bad Reception (Air beast), no respect for women on the part of the owner (send stroll its customers), proceed for shady parking and dirty place. We will definitely not go back!

Stayed 2 nights. First room was about 12 degrees and wouldn't get warmer. They gave us a different room door the second night. Hair still in the bed, used towels in the bathroom. Owner was nice and tried to help with the cold room, but had nothing available at this the time.

Not super clean. Moldy bathroom. Nice staff though.

Usually you get what you pay for with hotels… Not at Casa Bella you are paying for one of the dirtiest hotels I have ever stayed at. I wouldn't even consider the room we stayed in a 1-star. Only good thing about the hotel is the location.

Feces missing thorough general cleaning.

Hotel was not horrible. Here are some things to consider: Pros: -Very central location — My husband and I walked literally everywhere because it was so close to everything. Close to the university there and a pretty good neighborhood. — Parking — Free parking with the stay. Yes you do have to give them your keys which I was really hesitant about, but we were staying there during the week and we were the only car parked there. Not to mention we walked by and checked our car every day to make sure there were no issues. — Cheap — For two nights, with taxes included, it was $100. With parking and location it was a steal. (Note — we got the shared bathroom and shower room option) Cons: — It was dirty — like imagine the dirtiest dorm room you could think of and you would be close. Definitely did not feel clean there. With all of the posts that said "BED BUGS", you best believe me I was ready to walk in there, inspect it and demand a refund. But I went into the room, thoroughly inspected the room. I mean lifting sheets, bedskirt, nightstand, table, picture frames, you name it, I looked. There were no signs of bed bugs — at least in the room we stayed in RM 6. Also, I cannot stress enough — BRING FLIP FLOPS. That shared shower was gross, but it worked. Glad I had sandals For the price, location and parking it was totally worth it. Just by giving the place a good deep cleaning it would be so much better but you get what you pay for.

Hotel is quite run down, rooms not really clean (hair in bed, lollipops stems in the middle of the room on the floor) and the fridge in the room so loud that I'm weighed up several times. Corridors & stairs to the rooms are narrow. Staircase to the parking lot is the fire staircase and anyone who wants to park has to surrender their key.

Unclean, very pushy and cheap staff, the bed was dirty and stiff, the whole place gives you bad vibes, the rates pricey for what you get. Do not recommend.

Good for the price, it is not a hotel a thousand star but to have a small evening it is excellent. The lady at the reception is nice.

Bed bugs! DIRTY. Friendly staff. You HAVE to give them your car keys. The place place is just weird.

Nice little hotel, centrally located and pleasant staff. Certainly not a high class joint but clean, comfortable and great price for downtown Montreal.

Great location, right downtown! Hotel Wi-Fi isn't great, but there's a Starbucks down the street with better Wi-Fi. "Cheap and cheerful" is how I would describe this place, only really here to sleep as I'm out during the day.

Bed bug alert. We stayed in unit 26. August 7, 8 and 9th 2017. My wife and I were bitten by what appears to be bed bugs. After looking at other images of bed bug bites and speaking with friends we have concluded we were bitten by bed bugs. We are now washing and drying all of our clothing at very high heat. Some of which will be destroyed. We didn't speak to anyone at Casa Bella while we we're there, as we thought it was mosquito bites. Just wanted to make sure other clients are aware and have a closer look. Sincerely, Kyle Moss.

Parking yes in back. Breakfast in hotel no. Walking distance to downtown. Public transportation right by hotel. Cafe and breakfast store right next door. Rooms are little bit smaller, shower worked well, bed was comfy and clean.

Quaint little place, excellent for budget travellers. Clean room. Nothing excessively extraordinairy, but nothing wrong either.

Great location, close to Place des Arts, Palais de Congres, Chinatown, public transportation. Clean room, quiet considering our room faced the street. Good value for price. Free parking to boot! We will be back.

Very average home, cold room, messy shower. Sheets presumably uncleaned. Good location for the entertainment district. Quiet rooms. Good TV reception. Small fridge included, access to a common microwave. Price too high for quality of service. Will look elsewhere next time.

If you are looking simply for a place to put your stuff for the day and lay your head down for the night then this is a great little find. Friendly staff that speak English. Clean accommodations. (We had a room with a private bathroom) Free parking. Great location. Paid $67 for one night in April. Great price. :-)

It is what you pay for. You want a $1000 a nt room go elsewhere. If you want comfort for a little money and dated then you are in the right place. I refuse to pay money for my luggage to have a good time while I'm not there, lol.

Not the best hotel I've visited. The free "breakfast" they mean is a small disk that the cleaning lady brings you to your room after you call the reception. I couldn't say that the room inside was dirty, but the overall hotel was very old, amd was smelling weird. Also they charged the whole amount on my card upon checkin. Just avoid.

A large room with 2 double beds and free parking in a decent location is not a bad bet for the price. However, the hotel itself is very rundown and incredibly dodgy. Recommended for budget travellers only.

Would recommend to friends on a budget. Stayed here while visiting the city for the first time. We (2 early 20 somethings) were pleased with the location and the price. The staff was very friendly and helpful, too. The room was basic but we weren't expecting any bells and whistles — just somewhere to come back to after sightseeing. The price of the hotel included free parking on site. Overall positive experience.

Staying at one of their single rooms (with a private bath) which is cleaner and better maintained than the share rooms. It is really basic. Depending on what room are you staying: rooms with share bathroom are not okay, not the cleanest and need general TLC. Parking: you're not allowed to move car after 3pm. If you want to use your car in the evening, plan on walking around the neighborhood until afternoon (lots of traffic and parking hard to find most of the Montreal)

Fantastic location and rates, though the AC is hardly functional in some areas, and when you ask them to hold luggage they just ask you to put it in the hallway.

Super nice, friendly cheap, and a nice place to be, its also right downtown close to everything.

Avoid! This place is an absolute nightmare. The owner was a huge jerk and provided the worst customer service I have experienced in my lifetime. Don't expect parking to be available like advertised. If you made reservations through a site and walked in a minute later, then decided you don't want to stay after seeing the place, he will start being rude and try to bully you into paying him with no refund. He called me names, swore, and threatened me. He only gave in after arguing for an hour and mentioning of having police involved. Avoid avoid avoid!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a night in order to see a concert at the Metropolis, which was only a 10 minute walk away. For only about 60$ a night, I wasn't expecting very much in comparison to the Sheraton I had stayed at on a previous visit. However, the room we booked was advertised as an economy room with a "shared bathroom, " but when we checked into our room we found that we had a private bath. That was a really pleasant surprise. The hotel clerk was friendly and helped us to find a place to park where we wouldn't get a ticket on the side street next to the hotel. He even gave us a printed out map of the local area around the hotel to help us out. For the price, the room we received was pretty pleasant, a nice queen-size bed, nice bathroom with bathtub and a fridge, and two large couches for hanging out. The only thing was that they didn't have any sort of lock-box to store our valuables, either in the room or at the front desk, which would've made us feel more at ease. The hotel was in a great location, only minutes walk from downtown Montreal, and a block away from Rue St. Laurent where you can find many great bars and shops. We didn't get a chance to try the free continental breakfast, but that was a nice addition as well. Overall, for the price we paid it was more than we expected, cozy, in a convenient location, and run by nice staff.

Strong musty smell / feet in the room.
The bathroom is very small (also impossible to stand up in front of the mirror because the toilet takes up all the space. )
The price is attractive but certainly for comfort, go your way.

It's dirty! and smells! we'll never come to here again.

Excellent home! The rooms are clean and the service impeccable. I recommend it to everyone. You will not be disappointed.
