Great hotel, will recommend.

Not deserving of a 4-star classification. I'll preface this review by saying that the rate was affordable; $140/night for a king bed suite with beach views. Room cleanliness was questionable at best. Multiple stains on the carpet, misplaced furniture, and dingy bathroom surfaces. Toiletries were fine, but certainly not luxury. Bed was very firm and thin, and in desperate need of an upgrade along with the linens. Out of the three main elevators in the building, only one was operational, leading to wait times of 5-10 minutes. The service elevators were also barely functional. My room wasn't next to the elevators, and they reverberated sound through the room as they moved up and down. While good enough for a business trip, on my own dime I would much rather stay at one of the larger chains (Hilton, Hyatt, Westin) down the street.

Decent hotel with a good price. Toothbrush and slipper included, so I guess it is good for Japanese guests. The room door is pretty old but overall acceptable.

Dealt with a pretty lady named Angela at the front desk. Super nice & accomodating! Room was clean & cool. Pool closes around 8-9pm.

ELEVATORS! They have 3 elevators and after staying at this hotel (not by choice) for a month they couldn’t keep even 2 functioning for for than 3 days. A majority of the time they have 1 elevator and you will wait for the elevator for a Minimum of 5-10 minutes. It’s pathetic. They can’t keep the elevators working. Only great aspect of this hotel is the location. Parking is horrendous. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The “gym” is a joke. It’s equipment bought at K-Mart back in 1996, afraid to even touch it due to fear of breaking it. I recommend going down the road to another hotel because the elevator situation is the worst. So many people complain and take forever to even go down to leave the hotel.

The good old days are gone. Renovation is missing in all areas. From a former 4 star hotel down to 0.5star hotel. Price fare not the value you get. Breakfast in paper cups (11$) for it. Boring selection. Best on it daily fresh orange.

Front desk needs to be trained better. Does not seem to really listen to what you are saying and the front desk clerk seem to reply back with attitude.

Old, poorly kept, and overpriced. Location was great though.

Stayed here on a three-day retreat, the food was decent and the serving staff were courteous and hospitable. Salad was crisp and fresh and breakfast items were good. Update 2018: the carpets on 3rd floor have been updated, great job!

Came for breakfast buffet, I would not come back for that, I have not been for Sunday brunch. Limited options, most food looked aged, not fresh. Coffe very watered down. On the good side, the tile looks nice on the floor. Service ok. My wife and I will be skipping this breakfast hotel.

Good customer service at the front desk but their rooms are okay.

This place is nice there’s a awesome shop in the lobby (2nd floor) they give 25%off if you stay there that’s awesome and the shop sometimes there’s a Japanease women that work there so if Japanease people need help and your Japanease it’s perfect and the shop is called Mini mini a cool and cute name BUT the elevator.

I stayed here last week with my brothers and sisters. The view from the room and location was so nice, and price was also affordable. One thing I didn’t like was the light was dark to us.

Definitely wouldn't stay again. Called the front desk numerous times, phone just rings forever. Walk down there and 2 employees are sitting at the desk just laughing and talking. The hotel looks a lot nicer in the pics… We checked in with 5 people and were given 2 breakfast vouchers and over charged $25 for the room. Needless to say, a lot of unnecessary headache.

One of the oldest Hotels on island. They offer several restaurant options ranging from from a simple coffee shop to fine dining.

Stayed here on a three-day retreat, the food was decent and the serving staff were courteous and hospitable. The room I was in was muggy like someone had been smoking inside, switched rooms; it had a stale dank feeling and the thermostat was broken. The carpets in the meeting rooms need to be switched out immediately, and general updating needs to take place right away before the negative aspects of this hotel dim the very positive ones.

The pictures on the site not not valid, this place is very run down and in a horrible location, right on the strip of nasty businesses. The elavator barely worked and pool area looked sad. Views from the rooms were complete trash over looking an abanded parking garage and a motel or looking at the dirty road. Rooms were dirty, fridge barely worked. Only thing this place had going for them was the pizza place below it and a few friendly staff. So bad we left right away to stay somewhere else.

Needs some updating. But right on the beach and next to Matapang makes it a great location.

I had so much high expectations coming to this hotel but it was met with low expectations. I have been to crappy motels and hotels this one comes to the worst on the list. Never will stay here again. Gives me an iron I requested and it worked for like 10 minutes and it probably needed to be thrown away since the plate is burned. It looks nice in the lobby that's about it.

I stayed at this place for about two weeks. First week the Boiler was broken which meant NO WARM/HOT WATER and very little pressure. There was only one elevator for guests in the entire hotel. Normal wait time was around 5 minutes to get on. The other elevator worked for about a whole day. I did notice on the non-working ones that the tiles had been smashed, sort of as if the elevator fell and the smashed up concaved parts were where people were standing. I took a gander at the filter in the room and it looked like it was replaced — 2 years ago. Lots of dust caked on the filter. There was also mold. There were a few things that definitely needed to be updated in the room. The bed needs to have better mattresses as their firm and springy. The carpet had a few stains. The problem with most of the hotels around here as with the humidity. The humidity is pretty intense and if you leave the patio door open for a while you can feel the difference in humidity levels in the room. I remember having my patio door open and noticed all my mirrors were fogging up along with the glass. Other than that the staff was friendly and the parking was alright. I had room service every day which was nice.

Location is good and convenient, and nearby the beach. Nice sea view at room. A bit old decorations but clean.

California Pizza Kitchen is very good. It is nearby the beach.

For the price we paid, acceptable. Poor cleaning job especially the bathtub and room floor.

Below average. Shameless maids. Almost no Wi-Fi even at the lobby. Asked for an iron, brought a three-legged Ironing Board and iron a half-day. Of the benefits — first line, daily clean linen.

Friendly, but several issues. No parking whatsoever. The hotel has a total of 10ish open spaces, that locals use when visiting matapang beach. So no parking at all. Rooms are old, utilities are in poor shape and they claim they have rules but yet allowed our neighbor to party to 4am in the morning, despite us asking the hotel staff to step in. Ac doesnt work. Elevators were dirty. Closet was broken. List can go on. Lets just say they should change their name to "Holiday Inn Motel".

This is a Del Carmen property. AND IT FEELS LIKE IT! Although the employees seem to try, they are hampered by several key issues (listed below). Therefore, if you're going to get charged here the same as any other place (i. E. Busines Rate or US Government Per Diem Rate), GO ELSEWHERE! ISSUES: 1. Old and dilapidating building that management/ownership may not or cares not to invest in. 2. Grungy facility 3. Inadequate parking. 4. You might find better internet connectivity in a local junior high. But that's still not saying much. 5. It's a "value hotel" amongst more prominent brands and better kept properties so 5a. The whole "you get what you pay for" is exacerbated 5b. "Value hotels" tend to attract a few more boisterous and, sometimes, obnoxious "guests". So be prepared for that environmental factor. 6. Decor and furnishings are right out of a 1970s movie. Or "Hotel Impossible" episode.

The floors were so dirty in the room my son's legs would be black when he crawled around. We ordered room service for breakfast and it was the most disgusting food we have ever had. The dishes they gave us were dirty, the food was cold. The "fresh fruit" couldn't be penetrated by the fork. I will never willingly stay here again. Although the employees are friendly, this place needs some serious work.

You get what you pay for. Staying at the Hyatt next time.

Location is OK and value for money.

Kinda difficult to drive in and out on a daily basis but very convenient-location wise.
