With Villa Bel-Air, be careful!
The owners simply canceled our reservation only a month before our arrival for Christmas 2022. Although they validated our reservation some time ago, they decided to go for, I quote: "a longer term reservation" instead. They also said they were "sorry for the inconvenience", but when you've planned everything for your family to have a nice Christmas and you just get a "sorry" because they took someone else,. … you feel quite offended!
We contacted Booking, who agreed these owners were being disrespectful towards their customers, but also towards Booking itself. "Booking is not like Airbnb: as soon as they validate a reservation, they must commit to it! ".
Anyway! … We still found ourselves having to look for accommodation for a family of 5 in Guadeloupe just one month before the Christmas holidays! Needless to say, it may give you bad headache, and grey hair before time! :-)
So obviously, we do not recommend Villa Bel-Air at all, as they may just cancel your reservation purely and simply (… with a few words of apology, though…)
For the end of the story, Booking contacted them for explanations, and requested to find us an alternative, accommodation in the same price range and in the same geographical area, but at this point we had already started searching, and eventually found elsewhere.
