Wonderful business hotel in Thessaloniki — Fantastic location — lovely people and services ✨

Great hotel! Very clean, friendly stuff, best breakfast, beautiful view to the beach.

Have just arrived and it has a wonderful atmosphere.

Having recently stayed there for ten days, I can say the City Hotel was pleasant and lively, well sited for the restaurants and bars of Thessaloniki near the sea front. The quality of the breakfast food was outstanding, and the rooms well kept and highly comfortable. As someone who mobilises only on crutches, I was given the opportunity of using the staff lift (rather than the guests lift) to get to the 7th floor easily, with warm smiles from the reception desk staff every time. All of the staff were courteous, dutiful and polite, often kindly and always helpful. Several of the staff (and especially at the Green Bar) went out of their way to provide service and assistance, in the best traditions of Greek hospitality. Of all those most thoughtful and kindliest, was the sweetest of all, Christina of Kastoria.

This hotel is very well located in the city center.
Rooms are comfortable and the staff is friendly.
The price is neither expensive nor cheap but it's in the right average.
You can reach a lot of good small food spots by walking distance.

We had a wonderful time in Thessaloniki and the hotel was super! We had a nice room and the staff was very kind and helpfull. The breakfast was amazing. Tophotel!

Every time I have stayed here I have been very pleased. George (hope I got the name correct) from reception is very helful. Breakfast has a variety of food with the buffet. The rooms have been updated. Very central just a few steps behind Aristotelous square!

Hotel smells like toilet în The rooms and on The hallways, The reception said THAT after 20 min we Will get used to it and won't notice it anymore… They are rude, The hotel is a big mistake, The rooms are ugly with old furniture.

This hotel was Nice very clean maid service was fab all the hotel staff where very Nice and very helpful everything was on hand only had one fault the room was too small 703 but a part form that couldn't fault anything great location would go back.

Beautiful rooms with balcony, Cocomat bedding, Very central, Varied breakfast, Service ok but was perhaps better a few years ago. I recommend.

Clean hotel, great location near restaurants and shops. Perfect if you have to take the ferry to the islands (boarding 10 min walk). Plenty of buffet breakfast. Our room was a bit small but generally ok. Remember when booking to specify "non-smokers" if you are not.

Location was excellent. Breakfast up to its standards. Rooms were good. The only minus point us that the bathroom. With the position of door WC was inconvenient and the wash basin us too big that no average heavy person could access the towel rack. You would get stuck between shower cubicle and the wash basin. For a average thin thin person it is good. Reception was very friendly do the restaurant staff. I suggest yo intro small wash basin to be comfortable in the wash room.

The 4-star City Hotel Thessaloniki has one of the best locations in town. It is just 50 m away from the central Thessaloniki square, Aristotelous Square, so you can easily walk and discover central parts of the city. The rooms are nicely designed with spacious bathroom and balconies. However, don't expect astonishing view over the city because you will be able to see just the street in front of the hotel, buildings in front of the hotel are blocking the view. One more thing, the breakfast is the most disappointing part of this hotel, somehow I expected a lot more from 4-star hotel. The breakfast they serve is more a 2-star hotel standard.

Great business oriented hotel in centre of town. Room was clean, comfortable and the price was excellent. Would certainly stay again.

Excrlent location. Comfortable mofern rooms. Tv is just a small pc monitor. Breakfast is upgraded continental but satisfying.

Great clean hotel with good breakfast and friendly staff. Internet is a bit slow and the elevators are tiny and slow but all in all good.

Nice, clean rooms, very airy with plenty of hot water and pleasant smelling soaps. The location is unparalleled. We stayed in the winter but it was only €73 per double room with single beds. The staff are also very friendly and patient. Everyone seems to speak good English also! The breakfast, which is included, is varied and delicious. Although I doubt I’ll ever stay in Thessaloniki again, if I did I would definitely come here again.

Such a beautiful hotel! Great breakfast! Service was good! Lobby is cosy yet contemporary! Took a few snaps in the lobby before our night out in the town :)

I've been right two times. And I have to say, unfortunately, it has become worse. Last time I had no hot water. And this is a hotel for you.

Rooms top floor with very noisy interior facing and hot.
At tidy the rooms would do well to give even a clean floor… neglected.

Nice hotel in the Tessaloniki center. Good service and clean rooms. Breakfast is good and enough well provided of local products. To enhance room windows closure as wind can move the curtains.

Hotel very well located and with excellent service. The room ok but the bathroom very small not very comfortable and with bad lighting.

Nice hotel only 1.5 blocks away from Aristotelous Square. Reasonably priced and in the heart of downtown Thessaloniki. Also three blocks away from the historic downtown where there are good restaurants and night life.

Nice location you can find everything around you. Supermarket, mall, pharmacy, restaurant and etc. 2 minutes walk to the sea side. But this hotel has no swimming fool for additional information.

The hotel was clean and staff were friendly, food was nice, but hotel does not have its own parking place (not even to pay extra money), and the view was terrible, room was without sunshine all day long, in the bathroom I found some lacks too. Hotel is definitely not for 4 stars. Advantage is that it is in the center.

Execellent location in the very center with cultural memorials, lots of shops, grosseries and bakeries nearby. Clean room with air conditioner, TV set, teapot with cofe/tea bags, all necesaary thing in the bathroom: soap, towels, shampoo and shower gel.

False advertising of the hotel having a spa in 2 booking sites and terrible rooms.
We booked a room in May for 3 nights for 179£ which is so overpriced for such dreadful rooms and the receptionist said that the spa had been closed since the winter.
The room we were given was tiny and although the receptionist gave us a room it was just a tiny bit bigger.
We had to leave and now the hotel won't make even the tiniest refund for the 2 nights we didn't stay there.
I am from Thessaloniki and personally I feel ashamed to have had such an awful experience. Plus the most huge lie that they hadn't been informed of any problems during our stay!
You need to change something in that hotel for sure!

Worst hotel ever! No parking place, the heating system was always on eventhough we turned it off. You couldn't tell if it was day or night cause the windows where inside the hotel! Noise came from inside the heating system and when we asked to turn it off, we where told to change the room at 2am. Very expensive and definitely not a 4stars hotel. The location was good and the staff very nice.

Best city hotel with easy access to the center of Thessaloniki. Excellent aesthetics and comfortable stay. Highly recommended.

With some improvements, this hotel could be a real gem as it has potential and the location is great! As a general comment, I found that the existence of two tiny lifts for a 7-storey hotel with so many rooms, was a big handicap.

I had spent the most charming Christmas last year in this hotel in Thessaloniki center!

A modern cosy hotel with very friendly staff, very clean and in a great location in the heart of THessaloniki.

This place is excellent! Friendly staff always greeting you with a warm smile. Very helpful with all your questions and anything else that you may need. The girls in The Green Bar are great very very friendly. Their breakfast are excellent so much to choose from. The rooms are very clean very comfortable bed, I had a room looking out to the main street I love that I was able to walk out onto the balcony and look toward the sea. Shopping stores are at your foot all within walking distance from the hotel and the same with walking to the harbor, white tower along the walk you can find many cafe to sit either inside or outside for a cup of coffee and enjoy the sites. I must say that my stay at this hotel is the best experiences I ever had. I am going to tell all my friends about my stay with City Hotel.
