The Tourist Hotel is in one of the best locations in Argostoli. Between the port and the bridge, you got a view across the harbour to Kefalonia mountains. The rooms with sea view are perfect for those who get up early in the mornings, nothing beats the sunrise.
An amazing greek breakfast buffet is served in a variation I never have seen before.
From countless kinds of bread to eggs in all variations, continental meats, cheese you cut yourself from a big block, different sort…s of greek pies, and last but not least, rice puddings, polenta, and sweet cakes. Accomplished by good strong coffee, juices, and milk.
Obviously, a good variation of tea is also ready to be enjoyed.
The staff is attentive and very nice to talk to. Always friendly, helpful and always a smile on their faces.
The rooms a clean and quite with daily maid service. The bathrooms are modern and clean. We felt very welcomed with a lovely bottle of local wine and some almond sweets as a warm greeting in our room.
If you want to explore the Island and need a base, I can only express my recommendation for Hotel Tourist in Argostoli. It is a lovely greek town, where the locals have an honest smile on their faces. Thank you for a wonderful time!

Very small room, claustrophobic plus all electronic appliances fridge, tv, Wi-Fi conditioner create a hot air even at night, making it difficult to sleep I would not go back.

Friendly and efficient owner and staff… very clean… have been going there for 20 years! Excellent position … easy access to shopping, restaurants and transport.

Lovely road side hotel. Not stoppi g at hotel but had two beers and some food with the wife. Clean toilets in the hotel and friendly attentive waitress service. Good view of mountainside and footbridge and the harbour and boats.

Didn't stay at the hotel over night but did stop for a coffee and beer etc. Very nice, and very clean toilets are always a good sign too. Attentive service. Reasonable prices. Will visit again.

Just stopped for a drink on a hot day. The young lady serving was friendly and polite. Always had a lovely smile on her face. Coffee was good as was the fresh lemonade and mint drink… lovely. And the complimentary cake was very light and tasty. Good choice for refreshment.

Jumped in only for coffee which was good. Quick and friendly service, nice spot and complimentary muffins!

Great location. Air con, fridge in room, bath robes and slippers along with great linens, complimentary bottle of wine on arrival and friendly staff — all from a 2 star hotel!
