Villa Sofia

Host Sofia was friendly but the accommodation was way below average. The apartment was not very clean, soundproofing was non-existent, the only bathroom was extremely small, impractical (sink very small, partly functioning shower-head) and ensuite in the main bedroom (meaning that extra guests had to get in the bedroom to use it) and the featured pool is merely a trough that can only be used as decoration. We literally used the accommodation just to sleep, spending the whole day on the beach and the town of Marmari. For what it offers, this place is ridiculously overpriced (even for the high season of August in Greece) and desperately needs a renovation.

We were also one of the lucky ones who stayed a few days in Marmari, and it was a great vacation!
The boat trip to get there was very relaxing and the beaches and sea are clean, so one can really relax there.
The accommodation at Villa Sofia was also very pleasant — the apartment was simple, clean and one can find everything he/she needed. We had one of the upstairs apartment, and the view from there was great!
The owners (Sofia and Dimitris) live in the same building, but they have their own apartment in the ground floor, so we didn't feel any disturbance. I personally found it as an advantage because they gave us a lot of recommendations on where to go and what to do on the island. Moreover, I think we even got the chance to feel the true Greek "spirit" as we interacted with them. They are very welcoming and friendly. I even learned some Greek while talking with them.
We enjoyed it so much, and we will definitely return here — ευχαριστώ πολύ! ☺️

From the room, you have a view of sea, little islands and even the night view of Athens. The rooms were very clean and colourful, felt very safe and relaxing. The host was also very welcoming and always happy to help. Would recommend this place👍🏻
