I am sorry for the inconvenience and the trouble I might caused. I have never been on the sun hotel! I am going to the gym on the opposite side of the road, but Google's map mistakenly considers me as a Sun's hotel customer. Accidentally I rated as one star and couldn't find a way to delete my rate. Because I find it unfair harsh I am giving a four star rate as a remedy. Please ignore!

Really nice hotel for the price. The have a swimming pool in the back if the waves are too big.

The hotel is located relatively close to the beach, about 400 meters away. The rooms are quite small, but some of them have a modern design. At the same time, the staff is very kind and always ready to help. On the other hand, the sheets were stained and some faucets were rusty.

Just returned from my holidays in Crete, where I was traveling on my own — I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights and have mixed impression. When ordering a room I left a comment that I would like to be accommodated on the higher floors, but on arrival a woman in the reception settled me on the ground floor, saying that there are no single rooms on other floors. The room on the ground floor was terrible. The room was very small and narrow, hard bed, old furniture, old bathroom equipment, balcony on the street level … In the morning it turned out that people are walking right beside the balcony and workers are repairing something — one could see the whole room from the outside, absolutely no privacy, not to mention sound comfort. Air conditioning fee — additional 6 Euro/day (I wonder if there are a lot of hotels in Crete, that you should pay for conditioning? ) The next day, with the help of my travel agent I managed to agree on moving to a better room on the second floor, however I had to pay extra 10 euros per night. The second room was much better, it matched up 3 or even 4 stars, from the balcony I could see the sea. Interestingly, the first floor room TV showed Russian TV channels, while the second floor room TV channels were English, German, etc. The impression that the hotel staff automatically categorizes people according to where they came from, and accordingly appoints the room. But I have come not from Russia, I'm from Lithuania!

Cheap rates! Lovely staff! Don't pre-judge when you first pull up. Nice pool round the back, rooms basic but if your an explorer remember its just a base Beach isn't even a 10 minute walk away and is stunning! If you want to go into Heraklion town, take bus outside hotel-ensure to buy bus tickets from the shop next door first though.

Good value for the price. But the Russians on tours lodge in the rooms of a worse level than other people.
