I am a little surprised that the restaurant of the "Kurhaus am Inselsee" has four stars. Unfortunately, none of this was noticeable.
The order for the table had to be picked out of the book, because the service staff seemed to have no idea about it. But there was a covered table, to which we were led. How beautiful! So we sat there, watched as other guests were led to their tables, received menus, gave up drink requests. Until we were finally provided with menus. We could also order the drinks. We sat and waited. The service staff worked diligently, flitted, but always past us. Finally someone came and we were able to place our food orders, how nice. Our drinks were served, after all. Then the plates and knives were brought for the "greeting from the kitchen". It stayed there for what felt like half an hour. Meanwhile, the guests who came after us were already eating their main dishes. By observing them, we have had to bridge our waiting time. Our drinks were almost finished; and we waited.
Then the food came, no, not a "greeting from the kitchen", but a main course was served. When asked about the "kitchen greeting", the answer was a little nutty, unfortunately I did not understand it exactly. But it sounded like "Oh, didn't he come? ". Wars. The second meal was served, after a few minutes the third. The snobby service worker came again and collected the unused plates and knives for the "kitchen greeting" again, without a word. And we were speechless. We could have made the very long waiting time until the food delivery a little more pleasant with the "kitchen greeting", especially since this was served at all other tables. Even with extra charge!
We ate our meals, it was good, but not 4 stars. Then the waiting began again. And yes, we continued to observe, nothing else remained for us. The service staff flitted, I mean, having counted four pieces. The restaurant was about half full. The guests who came after us were already gone again.
A waiter then got lost at our table and asked for our satisfaction, I put this into perspective with a reference to the extremely long waiting times and the lack of "kitchen greetings". "Yes, today it takes a very long time. " that was the answer, nothing more. Even in a village pub, an "apology" would have come at the latest now, not with four stars.
After all, the table was now cleared. Yes, and the wait continued. We did not want to be ordinary in a four-star restaurant "Mr. Waiter, the bill, please! " therefore, the desperate attempts to point out our payment request with eye contact and rustling in the handbag. At some point we were noticed, the waiter disappeared to draw up the bill and get the card reader. That, too, lasted. In the end we were able to pay, of course we were disappointed and speechless because of all this treatment and experience.
