Paid vouchers are not redeemed by all means! I bought a voucher for the hotel for 2 nights, valid for 3 years. In the first year my booking request was not even answered, in the second year I was told, after a telephone inquiry, that there was no room available in July (booking 4 months in advance). Now (last year) I booked for July in September of the previous year. Booking confirmation will be received with the small addition, the room is reserved for us from 3 pm to 7 pm, otherwise we should get in touch. Since Thuringia currently has a lot of diversions, we did not arrive until 8 p. M. After 750km. Very annoyed and just wanted our paid room and dinner. Unfortunately, we were only told in a succinct way that our room had already been passed on. Now we have just been in Thuringia for the 3rd time and we also travel around germany with already paid vouchers. Thank God, this is an attempt by all means not to redeem already paid vouchers, except in the Hotel Herzog Georg. Unfortunately, there are probably "black sheep" everywhere.

The food was very good, the service friendly, room clean, Very large bathroom … unfortunately we were there in February, and wanted to use the house sauna, which unfortunately only accommodates six people.
Have then driven to the Kurhaus to Bad Liebenstein, which is only about 500 meters away there costs the entrance 14, 50 euros the person and a great sauna.
You can book parking in the hotel with no problems.

Were on a short break at the hotel Herzog Georg with Wellness and spa. To the hotel you have to say that there was no trace of unfriendly staff. Staff friendly and helpful. The room was unsatisfactory. Bart stubble from the previous occupants were unfortunately not removed and quite dusty the matter was also. Should not happen at a 4 star hotel. The furnishings are a bit frumpy and for a restful sleep the mattresses are completely inappropriate. On the subject of food, I cannot support the other comments, because we were satisfied. Especially the breakfast buffet was top. The hotel itself is very central and it is a great place to walk.

The hotel is standard and nothing special. The rooms were not even cleaned during our stay and the supper was advertised as a menu which meant there was only one main dish… either you eat or you don't eat it and stay hungry. The food itself was TK true and actually a star hotel not worthy. What a pity. The breakfast buffet was always highly praised but a lack of spit protection over sausage, cheese and other stuff is the least in such a hotel. The friendliness of the staff was OK but when a woman did not want coffee and asked for tea she explained three times how to make tea instead of making him quick. Too bad… well staff is not equal staff.

The room was very clean and comfortable. Nice little sauna. Good breakfast buffet. Dinner Menu only conditionally recommended, as little meat and little vegetables. A la carte can unfortunately only be ordered from 19.30 a. M. Dogs are not allowed in the hotel since 2017.

Staff absolutely friendly and courteous. The missing star is dealing with our four-legged companions. 12€ per night, but felt undesirable. The good open Breakfast buffet, our fur noses are desirable, I can understand, but in the Evening in the Restaurant. Incomprehensible.

Super Hotel, large bathroom and a super great Breakfast very much selection, something for every taste.

Room clean staff Aehr friendly. Breakfast buffet was top. The only criticism is that the double bed consists of 2 assembled single beds. And at dinner, 2 menus would be great to choose from. Otherwise it is very nice.

Reception friendly. Hotel rooms I find very old-fashioned and it in the room. Massage at the hotel top. Breakfast is a great choice. Disturbing fan noises from the bathroom, similar to a drill noise/shaver. The cushions are lapprig. Dark light in the room. Double bed consists only of two slightly shifting mattresses side by side, so you have a doofe crack.

I can only rate that way, as this hotel was advertised as a 4 star hotel. This was not fulfilled.

Were there on the last weekend of November. Room with tub instead of shower cubicle, otherwise spacious and clean. The sauna is a little awkward to reach. Breakfast is very tidy and it is also replenished regularly. Only dinner is highly recommended, at least if you have booked by Ebaygutschein. Other than that, we were very pleased.
Bad Liebenstein is not the navel of the world, but Inselsberg, Gotha and Eisenach are not far away. Altenstein Castle is also worth a visit.

1 star because the staff at the reception and in the restaurant were very nice u friendly.
Vegetarian food was served on request.
This hotel is absolutely not recommended.
The room dirty (used liner lay behind the stool), dusty, smell of the room very musty, not comfortable. The bathroom moldy.
A 3-course menu was advertised on the day of arrival. Served was shabby and bad tasting canteen level food.
The dining room uncomfortable u all very old.
The breakfast offer was just as bad as all the other meals in the house.
The hotel is generally rundown and needs modernisation!
I seriously wonder how such a hotel can have 4 stars.
The operator should be ashamed to offer such a thing! Rip off…

Hi since I am a lot in the field, I also have many different hotels. Price performance definitely does not fit here! Rooms smell musty, and for this price definitely too bad! Shower or bath is simply outdated, in proportion to today's standard. The staff (some), give a not feel the man is welcome. Man comes back partly as in the GDR where the waiter thinks he is the boss with cheeky sayings etc. I would definitely be younger people who are looking for hospitality and recreation, do not recommend this hotel, and look for a hotel in the area!

to my 65. Igsten birthday I have received a gift certificate for two nights in a double room for 2 people at the Hotel Herzog Georg in bad Liebenstein. Just I wanted to order a double room for 26 & 27 March. When the Lady on the phone heard that I had a coupon you said me we no quota have more for vouchers. When I asked if I can redeem the voucher for you not told you if we have a quota free white but now still perhaps in Oct. Or Nov. The lady was very rude. I wonder why one makes with action at such a coupon if you then not able to redeem the voucher. So people finger away from vouchers for Hotel Herzog Georg in 36448 bad Liebenstein.

Nice Hotel, nice staff, good Service. Only the Candle-Light Dinner can save. You get a candle on the table and the normal Halbpensionsessen. For us, it was shiny shoes, as an Appetizer, and red fruit jelly as Dessert. Romance. The kitchen and the Management has still air upward. A bit weak for a "4 star Hotel".

The staff was nice and friendly. Our room is very bright, nicely decorated and clean. The Breakfast buffet was okay. But not the standard of a 4 star hotel. A Maximum Of 1 Star. Dinner (booked in half Board) was the absolute underground Hammer on all 5 days! It was on the first day, Wildgulasch from the CAN. It looked so unappetizing on the plate as it tasted. We have scraps from the card ordered. Since one can make nothing wrong. Thought wrong. Total verbrannet! On the second day, then Cordon Blue with mixed Dosengemüse. On the third day, the Highlight of the kitchen. Solyanka made from kitchen smears. Tasted like ever eaten. Luckily, there are in the immediate surroundings are very beautiful and delicious Restaurants. To Stay, definitely a recommendation. To eat=Prefer not to!

We were to visit in Bad Liebenstein, and have a Hotel searched, and lucky here! In a very nice ambience, you will welcome from the staff received. Friendly and very professional, we got promptly to our rooms. The rooms were all very clean in an upscale claim. Modern with lots of light-flooded rooms and high quality furniture. The technology on the latest standards, i. E. Wi-Fi and Hotspot, cable TV were present. The bathroom is very upscale comfort and very clean. One of the Highlights was the balcony. For the summer a nice place to in his books to sink into. The Breakfast and the food plentiful and the entire Team is a family, and very hospitable. I would recommend the Hotel to anyone! The Hotel itself is very nice. Nicely furnished and clean. The catering and the staff for a four star Hotel but an imposition. Casual clothes and sneakers are in one operation, the four-star Hotel is definitely not acceptable, sandy salad, after nothing tasting soup, cutted Turkey we have at the fast food restaurant already much better eaten. On a verneinende answer, if it tasted good would have, we were given the statement "is just a matter of taste". The receptionist (a very nice young woman), us after the second dinner, then from the booked half Board booked and we are then the last two days of eating out has gone. The Breakfast was for a four-star Hotel also left something to be desired. Fruit salad from the can, empty or clogged salt and pepper shakers. Listless, bored, rumstehendes staff for Breakfast. In a Hotel of this category one expects more professionalism benefit.

Unfortunately we had to because of illness to cancel. The goodwill of the hotel is especially to be commended and is a well-managed house close.

We have recently, the Hotel Herzog Georg with a tour group visits and are very welcome in the home are recorded and been spoiled. The friendly staff and the Service take care lovingly for his guests, so that one feels very comfortable. The rooms are clean and very well maintained. The kitchen with its rich Breakfast buffet the day to truly begin, but also the dinner convinced by the taste. All round a good Hotel, what a great value for money.

A nice Hotel with very friendly staff. Very good kitchen. A waiter, I would like to especially praise! Attention all, the man understands his Job and you can tell that he likes to do! The only teensy gripe. I had the impression that the cleanliness of the rooms a little bit might be better. But it was OK. All in all I can the Hotel highly recommend! Overall grade : GOOD.
