A super nice hotel. Very friendly staff. Simple but beautiful rooms we had one with Elbe view not the side but just in front of the view is bombastic. Since we liked it so much we extended by 2 days, although with a room change again thanks thanks for this trouble-free change. Due to Corona times, breakfast times are staggered. We had from 08.30 to 09.30 was already full, the last two days we had from 10.00 to 11.00 there was more relaxed. Thanks also to the staff who were very friendly attentive and had everything in view as soon as something was empty.
The pool invites you to swim again in the evening, but also to relax, the utensils for it are available in every room.
We had no problems with the Wi-Fi.
The car is opposite in the ferry parking lot. You don't have to worry our car was there for 12 days and nothing happened. The parking ticket is unlocked in the hotel before each exit, but since there is such a good connection by the S train to all sights we did not need the car at all. Or just on foot or by bike. We had our Ebike with what you can also place well in front of the hotel because it is quiet there you don't have to be afraid of your bike.
The ferry costs 1.50 euros per person for guests and 3 euros per person by bike.
When the rock stage is reopened we will definitely come back.

Very friendly staff, good Restaurant — and in any Hotel we have got so far, so good Breakfast (and we know some. ) The "Elbschlösschen" is our favorite hotel.

Clean rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. Sumptuous Breakfast Buffet. Restaurant with very tasty cuisine. We have had nice days and are sad to leave but very satisfied.

We can recommend the Elbschlösschen is very. Were already very often here, meis 2x in a year. Very nice rooms, good beds and nice staff. Also the Breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. In the Saxon Switzerland can be very beautiful walks. We are looking forward to be in March 2020, with friends a guest in your house. Friendly. Greetings.

Arrived by car for a two night stay with breakfast. There is no parking adjacent to the hotel but there is a small public car park on the outskirts of the village and a much larger car park on the opposite side of the river. If you choose the latter you will need to take your luggage and cross the river using the pedestrian ferry which crosses every few minutes and costs 1 euro each way per person. The hotel owner will provide a card to cover you parking costs.
We received a very warm friendly welcome English speaking lady who was very helpful and assisted us with our parking arrangements. We would strongly advice you choose the larger car park and take the river crossing as parking on the other car park is very confined and you risk getting you car damaged.
No tea and coffee making facilities and no air conditioning in the room, TV with foreign channels only and a comfortable bed.
The room was clean and tidy with a good shower.
On the night of our arrival we were running short of time for dinner due to confusion over the parking but did manage to sit down in good time before the end of service. The waitress did not speak very good English and was clock watching which made us feel uncomfortable and rushed.
Not a great choice of food on the menu and poor waiter service (had to set our own place) and she forgot our drinks we had ordered.
The breakfast was the usual continental style buffet fresh and plentiful served in a nice dining room.

Super Hotel. Very friendly staff. Beautiful wellness area. And a breathtaking view of the Elbe and the Elbe Sandstone Mountains.

Very nice hotel. Unfortunately, the location (only accessible by ferry, which costs 80 cents each time) is a bit annoying. Especially the luggage transport from the parking lot to the ferry is arduous and unworthy of a 4-star hotel. You can get the arrival of the ferry on the other side from the electric mobile, but you have to bug your suitcases into the elevator and on the room. Breakfast in the hotel is very good and plentiful, coffee too. Dinner in the restaurant is very great, but expensive and certainly not enough for men. Wi-Fi is not available on the upper floor.

Well-appointed hotel. Very friendly and courteous staff. You feel very comfortable at the first moment. Value for money. Eat well, rooms clean and well equipped! Only in one case were there any difficulties with an order. But this was probably due to the German language skills of the cellar. Otherwise, it would only be a shortcoming that is not yet available in all rooms W-Lan. But work is being done on it. Who arrives with your own vehicle must know that it is parked on the opposite side and can reach the hotel by ferry (2min)

Difficult parking but a mice hotel at Elbe river.

Very nice Hotel in a perfect Location. Clean, quiet and friendly Staff. Breakfast is seadissually delicious and plentiful. Everything your Heart desires. Value for money very balanced. We'll be happy to come back!

A wonderful hotel with very friendly and competent staff in stunning areas just below the Bastei. Pool and sauna are a treat, as well as the excellent food and early buffet. We will be happy to come back at any time.

The path to the hotel leads from the large parking lot beyond the Elbe via the ferry. That may be the case with the 1. And be 2 time funny, but then it only takes time to get to the hotel. Double room with balcony, forward to the Elbe. A glorious look. However, the rooms are so tight that you have to communicate when you have the window on — or Want to make.
The menu in the restaurant reads well, but the steak arrived cold at the table. My complaint was met with a lax … didn't have you that … quit.
We were subsequently served by another friendly and effort Ober, a fellow Czech who provided us with interesting information as we wanted to take a day trip to Decin.
I therefore rate the Elbe Castle with 3 stars and from now on descend in the Bastei …

Very well located with views of Elbe. Breakfast offers a wide selection and there is also a bar. The spa area is good. Sauna and steam bath and not too small swimming pool. Staff friendly. All right. For a fifth star, it would have had to be something special unique.

Absolutely to our expectations! Great location, great hotel with very friendly staff and delicious cuisine either for breakfast or the 4 course menu in the evening. The wellness area and the swimming pool are also recommended. We say again thank you better not!

Absolutely recommended. Best view of the bastion or ferry. Omelette could be ordered, very tasty. 4 stars should be better there. This is what every 3-star hotel.

The view is very nice, the hotel itself goes like this. On the opposite Elbe thunders, especially at night, every quarter of an hour a freight train long, so much to spa. The beds are like stone. The restaurant too expensive for the mediocre food. The breakfast in turn is very good. "Wellness" is a bit skimpy.

Absolutely recommended!
We were going to spend some relaxing days here, all our expectations regarding service, friendliness, cleanliness, infrastructure, food, accommodation and various wellness offers exceeded!
The whole team was in spite of the "hibernation" (season only from the end of March, beginning of April…) of the village Rathen totally focused on service on and for the guest! Chapeau.!
Breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired, in every respect, although no season was, be stressed! Sensational!
Huge pool (Pictures do not reflect the size again, top sauna and steam room as well as relaxation room separately.
You can use the mini-bar for your own drinks for cooling!
Shuttle service to and from the ferry via caddy-car (golf cart) exemplary!
Ferry continues at any time from 4uhr to 24h, in a few moments, no waiting! No departure times to consider, huge offer of activities and exploration of Saxon Switzerland!
Absolutu a "must" for every holidaymaker in this region the Elbschlößchen with his team! Chapeau! We will be back (to be hosted February 2018)

Good food, quiet rooms, great cocktails. However, hardly any W-lan. It is a mystery to me why it is not possible in Germany to ensure flawless internet. The grounds of the nature reserve have nothing to do with the hotel either. In Croatia I have always einwanfreies W-Lan on every island. In the 4stars Hotel.

We were recently here for the weekend, the hotel is really super located and very nice. The staff is very friendly and accommodating only if you are sitting at the bar or lobby the operation could be a bit quicker. Breakfast is sufficient although I would have imagined a little more for a four-star house. It was partially filled only very slowly and the rug was sometimes still more to use without the fingers dirty. But all in all, the stay was very nice.

My family and I were here over the weekend to visit. The rooms were large enough cut and provided with a balcony. There was no reason to criticize the cleanliness.
The staff are very accommodating and friendly. The spa area is well maintained and has enjoyed us consistently. The same is true of the breakfast buffet.
The only point of criticism is the restaurant. The service was only half understood and only half served. Especially in the case of allergies you have to put together a little more individual food. But since you don't have to eat there is no star deduction.

Friendly and pleasant staff. Saxon hospitality. The kitchen (also the breakfast) is very good. Since the car is parked on the other Elbe (Free Zone! ) The Seilfähre is used free of charge from and to the hotel side with the hotel ID. Overall a good solution. Note: The hotel offers a Elektrocar, which takes the last meters to the (telephone) and the hotel to transport the luggage. In practice, you will also be riding with us, which we felt was very pleasant. Clear recommendation!

Goods from 27 — 29.01.17 at the Hotel Elbbschlösschen. Had booked half board. Very nice quiet location. There was nothing missing. Very friendly and courteous staff. The cleanliness in this hotel is very commendable, everything polished and polished. The breakfast in buffet form was very tasty and varied. The dinner by menu was very good, you could always choose what you wanted in the main courses. A big compliment to the kitchen. Also the tables were very nicely decorated, whether at dinner with candlesticks and dimmed light and at breakfast with a newspaper where you could read every day what the weather will be or about information about important conditions etc.
There was also a swimming pool in the hotel, there was always a place.
If you are physically fit, you can go hiking to your heart's content.
In order to get from the car park to the hotel or otherwise you have to take the ferry, you can exchange the purchased ticket at the reception for a free return ticket.

I can only recommend the hotel.

My friend and I spent 2 very nice days in Rathen. The hotel — Elbiente — and the rooms are really very nice and modern, the wellness area clean and well maintained.
However, we first had to look for someone to hire us the "bubble" in the brine basin.
The biggest shortcoming, however, was the food, at dinner there was a hot chocolate for me, without cream hood and rather lax, here you could certainly replace with real drinking chocolate from the chocolate factory in Thürmsdorf e. G.
The service that evening was also rather late.
Unfortunately, breakfast went a little disappointing, there were only two types of cheese in slices, except melon and a few bananas, no fresh fruit.
I was looking forward to a nice muesli, but there was only cow's milk, for lactose intolerant sinisters or vegans quite stupid.
For 4.5 stars, this is definitely not enough!
We then asked for possibilities (such as aluminium foil) to take a bun for hiking, we would have got it, but for 1.50€ per bun extra, very outrageous for paying for the breakfast yes and whether I now eat the bread roll at the table or want to take it with me is actually my decision, very bad.
Everything in the Allen a nice stay, but for the price and the things that did not correspond to our idea, this was probably a unique experience.

Very friendly and attentive staff, very very tasty food, huge Breakfast menu, great Spa area with many facilities, beautiful clean rooms with great view on the river Elbe and the surrounding area. Very many excursion destinations in the immediate vicinity, and a nature which is Unique. Thank you for 3 fantastic days.

Super hotel… Had a wonderful weekend… And contrary to some here posted reports, I can only say, the staff was super friendly and always as a competent partner to the point… Enthusiasm raised also the meals with us… Including the cocktails… Greetings from the Spreewald forest… We like to come back in November…

Nice hotel with all the amenities but very unfriendly staff immediately on arrival it is approached sharp at the reception this is to stupid signs reading, furthermore renovation jam on doormats in corridors partially mined out, scratched… last point no own parking walk about 200 metres to the hotel with case furniture or drive where the ferry cost a… come to conclusion we go here again.

I come for years in this Hotel. Earlier with my parents today with a friend. Always a nice stay.

Up to now everything is good, the bike is easy to reach, the beer tasted after the hike. My suspicion is that the staff doesn't the success it was today at the Sachsenspiegel confirmed. The Batcave is now somewhere else! Perhaps there also hosts the the neck already full enough? In Austria, no for 8.50 work.

Here we come!

Super Spa. Bit frumpy rooms but very clean and out of touch. Food was very tasty. Very nice views of the river Elbe and its surroundings.

A super hotel in the middle of the National Park at the foot of the world-famous Bastei. :-).
