Room was large and clean. Bed was comfortable. Staffs were friendly and polite.

I can't judge the food because we were allowed to watch the boring service for 30 minutes. But luckily there is more choice in the village.

Super delicious food, some highly priced, but also decent sized portions.
We recommend the day ticket, about 5 main courses for a very good price.
Very friendly staff. We were at the beginning of March on a cold Saturday, there was not quite as much going on.

Nice room, food was good too. One thing was unfortunate, however, that the sauna was only operated from 15-7pm.
One is the day on the way in Saxon Switzerland and can not actually use the offer.

Food was very good. Service very friendly. Portions are sufficient. A good selection of dishes. Price/performance still fine.

We were finally able to eat in the blackbird and we were very satisfied. The food is delicious, the ambiance is also very cozy and the staff is very friendly and accommodating and makes every effort to meet any desire. We will definitely come back again but in the summer.

Very good place! Just add croissants and sausages at breakfast and it's 4 stars hotel, not 3! Stuff is very friendly, rooms are clean and cosy, breakfast and dinner at the restaurant is good but can be better.

We were fortunate to be from 29.12.2017 to 02.01.2018 Guests. The overall package offered was simply fantastic. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Every question and every request is answered and fulfilled promptly.
We would have liked to have booked again for next year's change. Unfortunately, on 02.01.2018, everything was already occupied for the next year's change.

Nice hotel, though also a bit expensive. Great Sauna area. Food was delicious and the waitresses friendly, albeit a little chaotic.

Comfy beds, easy to find, great breakfast. Unfortunately there was no room for us at the hotel restaurant for dinner that evening and we weren't told to reserve when we arrived, so we had to go and find somewhere else to eat. Other than that all good. On a side note, hotels in Germany don't seem to have kettles as standard, could have murdered a sachet of 3 year old instant coffee on arrival.

Pro: Cozy, clean, family friendly, very nice staff, excellent location, good Wi-Fi, great breakfast buffet, restaurant with delicious food (bring some time in the high season)

Very nice room with a renovated bathroom. Great location and the sauna is great after a long day of hiking taking one of many trails is the surrounding area. A comment for foreigners, the saunas are mixed and full nudity, which is common for Germany. The breakfast buffet was excellent however the restaurant only average, we ended up eating dinner at other close by places instead of at the hotel.

We were there for lunch before the hiking and for a coffee after the hiking. The mushrooms were delicious and the Cappuccino as well. Good quality food.

Went here for a conference ages ago. It was excellent: people are professional and very helpful. Rooms are good, too. It is nice and quute even though it is located next to the main tourist route to Bastei. Returned last weekend for a hiking tour. Had a coffee at this place and it has not changed. Everybody is very polite, pofessional and busily working to fulfill your needs.

The hotel was well-located in town: easy to find with nice views all around. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly and willing to go the extra mile. The breakfast was wonderful as was the food in the restaurant.

The breakfast was amazing. The staff was incredibly helpful. We had some confusion with out tour and they sorted it out for us. Also great location. The trail to the Bastei is right across from the hotel. They also have English menus and the staff we encountered were good with English. We were happy to try to speak German but when things get confusing it can be reassuring to have some English as an option.

Was with my family at the 31.07.2015 for lunch, had Schnitzel Vienna style with French fries for nearly one out of 15 €. There were 2 thin "steak" Fleischstärke about 3mm! (one could also say breaded beer) and plenty of French fries, however, tasted quite good. The Whole thing without vegetables, only a tiny Basil-flavored tomato sauce, and 2 Zitronenspalten graced as the culmination of the "scraps". Reminder: the price is almost 15€. This is usury! I am convinced, that can be any chip shop for half the price!

It was great. Even though we don't understand the menu in German, the waiter tried his best to explain dishes in English and he served us so gentle and nice. We ordered beef steak and beef pasta, and they were delicious enough for me to recommend my friends to go there.

Over the holidays to Christmas 2014, we were in the Hotel to guest. First impression: Very friendly and warm staff upon arrival. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Who is it cozy and at home, is here exactly correct. The full Board was excellent. Breakfast buffet was rich and varied. Different bread rolls, bread, etc, variations of sausage and Käsetellern, fresh fruit, selection of spreads, cereals, and co, warm sausages, Egg variations, bacon, etc, a variety of teas, as well as Saftauswahl perfectly adequate. The coffee takes some getting used to, but for me, this is not so important. Coffee and cake will be fine (7-9 various pies/cakes/studs), as well as the design of the dinner. To Christmas Eve 5 Course Menu. Fresh preparation, creative implementation, insanely delicious! 1. Holiday wonderful duck (such tender Duck I have long not more eaten). 2. Kitchen mediocre prices are too high.

We found our Wochenendwinterurlaub as very pleasant. We were satisfied, our desires (Spa, etc) have been complied with. Also the Restaurant left nothing to be desired. We were very satisfied with our stay.

We were only on a short rest after the Basteibesteigung here. There were original hot drinks by the fire. Was any hikers or walkers recommended.

Disturbing we felt, that to my complaint of the rausspringenden Lattenrostes (every Time you sat on the bed or in the evening wanted to go lay down) only succinctly "we see time after" was responded. — The balcony had not even the smallest table; in the afternoon around 14:30, the room was sometimes not done, so no clean towels, no paper, beds not made; once again, the room was not closed again.
