Friendly staff, nice welcome. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast is manageable, it tastes good and replenishment is provided regularly. I can recommend everyone to stay here a few nights. The hotel is very well located and you can reach the old town in a few minutes.

Perfect location, very nice breakfast, friendly staff and a great atmosphere! We loved the style of the interior. The only 2 minus was the very small shower, we couldn't stand underneath it and there also wasn't air conditioning, witch is very uncomfortable in these hot days. But keep up the nice work, we had a great time in Düsseldorf!

Nice hotel, quiet and very well placed (5 min walk from transport, restaurants, bars,. ), very welcoming and smiling staff. Breakfast is ok, too bad that is served only pork but you can fall back on the rest. I stayed there during a heat wave and the air conditioning is not yet installed, a real oven, the receptionist kindly helped us out of a fan for the night. 2 nest for the lack of air conditioning and meat at breakfast.

Quaint little boutique hotel. The rooms are small but cleverly designed and nicely decorated. Breakfast is included. It is a selection of bread rolls, mini croissants, eggs, muesli and yoghurt.

Good place to stay in Düsseldorf. Very close to the city and railway station. Nice furniture and good beds.

Nice looking hotel with a lot of sweet twists in it's fresh design. It looks very modern and clean, but the rooms are unacceptably noisy.

More like a hostel than a hotel. I think it’s more for backpackers maybe? Very small rooms, like a boat or plane — just enough room to get to the bed and toilet but clean and the staff are friendly. Fast Wi-Fi.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice phone reception. Cosy atmosphere. For a large group it will cuddle at the entrance. No private car park, but right around the corner a public. Accessible access for the handicapped. Delicious welcome drink with fresh raspberries!

Appealing design and decoration, very friendly staff and an affordable stay. The rooms are a bit small but that wasn't an issue for us, however not very suitable for people who are on business trips. Moreover, and that's what made me give them 4 instead of 5 stars, is the breakfast. The breakfast wasn't up to our expectations, and the coffee was really bad.

The old town is about 10 minutes away. Also to the central station. The breakfast was totally OK with fresh fruits and veggies.

The hotel is really cozy — just like a home is cozy and not like a suitcase storeroom with bed in it. The attention to detail in the equipment, high-quality bathroom items (shampoo, shower gel…) by Dead Clean, a consistently equipped bed with plump pillows and tight mattress and clever little things like kettle with a few tea bags for the last to fall asleep make the stay even on stressful business trips a short port stop. Breakfast is also topp. Great overall tone for a hotel!

Very stylish hotel located in the centre of Dusseldorf. However, the rooms are extremely small for the price we payed. There was not enough space for two small peaces of luggage. Also, it was very hot in the room especially as for the middle of Murch but there is no air conditioning. Poor sound isolation, we could here everything from the other rooms and the corridor.

Super dear and especially very attentive staff. On demand of a second blanket, because I was sick, I was brought not only this one, but also a tablet with tea, juice and a handwritten Good improvement Card. The hotel is very individual and stylishly designed and does not resemble every 0815 hotel. The breakfast is varied, everything was very fresh and the tables were always cleared immediately. The location is super central, I would always recommend the hotel.

This bar is actually the lobby of an hotel but you want to go there for the decor, may be playing cards or a nice snooker game whilst enjoying a nice cocktail. Red wines are also nice. Bear in mind this place doesn't serve food.

Very attractive and nice Hotel in a Retro style. Beautifully appointed rooms, unfortunately not very Big but always clean and cozy. Even in the little things in the room furniture has been taken to the style, so even the crockery and the kettle are suitable. Furthermore, there is a record player and records in the rooms, you also can get more records at the reception and exchange, so it makes us to be in a good mood here. The Breakfast buffet is not the normal Standard, does not meet high expectations, but also from our point of view. This is, however, always enough available and it is always loaded. On special requests, the food will be received by the staff and at the latest the next day. The staff is very courteous and friendly. We are not here for the first time and we will come again. For us the Max Brown is the first choice when we come to Düsseldorf.

The team: Friendly, straightforward, helpful. The room: Super clean, witty decorated on retro, good magazines, very good and comfortable box spring bed. Otherwise: solid breakfast without any antics, but completely sufficient. Come back here.

After the conversion no longer as good as before. Room size of the standard room is halved. They are now really tiny for a double room. More emphasis is placed on design than on function. Why do I need a record player and a basketball hoop in the room? Nonsense…

Design instead of reason: the hotel completely and uncompromisingly relies on "hipster retro design". Unfortunately, this is at the expense of comfort. So the breakfast is extremely sparse. We had bigger buffets in hostels. The "small double room" is not recommended: a smaller room I had nowhere else. In principle, the bed fills the entire room, the wardrobe is attached to a pole over the bed. The rooms are also very hellörig, you can hear the neighbor's cough (and other intimate noises) in the room then another retro turntable, the first one was broken, the second droned. There are also enamel cups for tea, which are hardly manageable without a pot flap. The location of the hotel is very good. Nevertheless, I can not quite understand the mostly very positive reviews, the original retro design is quite funny, but basically just frills.

The experience from Max Brown has been perhaps the absolute best. Retro furnishings in a modern, colors, details and the staff polite and friendly. The Buffet breakfast is well assorted.

Amongst the weirdest experiences I've had in a hotel, and not in a good way. The building, from the reception onwards, already looks dated and old. They are renovating the floors, so hopefully that should make a difference. On the evidence, though, not; I was given a recently renovated room, and while at least it's new furniture and bathroom, the decor was just weird, apparently aiming for some sort of Provence-feel. The cables to the lighting is sticking out of the wall, there are no plugs in the vicinity of the coffee maker, the hardboard curtains (yep, also trying to be Provence) do not open fully due to an oddly placed shelf being in the way — and the main door does not have even a simple lock, so you feel weirdly naked. And so on. It just feels cheap and poorly done, throughout. The cheap price and location — close to the city centre — saves the two stars, though.

5-6 hours for a job here. So I feel about the hotel I stayed in my room for short periods of a few hours. I find the service very generally 2-3 a telephone — you need to find people who can help you, then you need to call to remind a few times. Rooms are small (but more common in Europe) and little landscape (see Office).

Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, unfortunately the only place in the hotel with air conditioning is the bar.

And the breakfast was excellent with good coffee. I would recommend this hotel and would love to stay here again. It is good save for money.
