A lovely hotel at average prices. Rooms after renovation. Breakfast is very good.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Not far from center. Breakfast is good.

Budget! The room is supercompact, but there is everything you need. Downstairs is a 24-hour bar. What more could you ask for? )

Perfect for a two star hotel. There is a car park in the hotel which can be rented for 14, €0 per 24 hours. A reasonable price for Cologne, but it is quite expensive for longer stays. However, this hotel is probably thought to be more for one night. Breakfast costs 11, €0 also a reasonable hotel price.
The rooms are very small and the bathroom even much smaller. If you are suffering from obesity, this hotel is definitely not recommended.
I assume that the hotel is very much used by younger people just as a place to sleep (close to the Cologne rings) and the price/night of about €70 is definitely appropriate.

The bathroom is far too small. Even as a slender person you have big space problems. Window can only be tilted. Cleanliness was given. Location is good.

With just under 14sqm for a night okay — but not for the price that is demanded at trade fair times. Applies especially to the bathroom. WC very deep, squeezed into the corner — nothing for people with reduced mobility. Faucet attached to the sink so unfavorably that it is hardly possible to wash your hands sensibly. Heating in the bathroom supposedly works with timer. Stupidly so high up that I (1, 70) didn't get it. The "cabinet" is cleverly integrated into the wall and holds clothes for one person (two nights) or vice versa.

After a long journey from Dubai to Istanbul to Cologne finally reached to this hotel. Oh my God one receptionist was so rude She was not even talking nicely. At the same time she was lying most of the thing. But other services was good. I will never come back to this hotel because of rude behaviour of receptionist.

We asked to do the check-in and when she told us the price, I just went to check it against the value gave on the reserve. The receptionist promptly asked on a very rude way “What’s the problem now? ” when we didn’t even said anything but an “I’m just checking against the reserve note”. And while I was trying to understand why there was a difference, the receptionist was always being rude and with and aggressive way of talking. This was very unpleasant and it did ruined our stay. We did avoid the hotel bar/dinner because of that. The room was small, but ok for what it was. It doesn’t have a place to keep your cloths, no draws or closet. Again, is ok (ish) for a weekend. It was tidy and clean. The bed was nice and room temperature was good (it was snowing). The bathroom was clean. It’s a bit small. The water temperature, in the shower, goes from cold to very hot without any human interaction. On the last day, at around 9am, someone nocked at the door to rush us out the room (!?! ), when the checkout was up to 12:00. There’re some things that can’t be explained…

Centrally located and well accessible by subway. The room to the courtyard was very quiet. Great mattress But a very very small bathroom. Nice staff and a great breakfast.

Great however its a shame that there is not free facilities for tea and coffee in room or floar or anywhere.

For 2 stars you can no longer expect. Room was clean, simple and modern furnishings, quite small but perfect for a weekend getaway. There is also an underground car park at the hotel. The reception was friendly and everything was explained. There is also the possibility to have breakfast in the hotel.

Very friendly staff. The rooms are functional. The breakfast buffet is adequate and equipped with all sorts of tasty things. There was a star deduction from me, because of the size of the bath. All in all, this hotel is highly recommended. Problems are solved very quickly and unbureaucratically to the satisfaction of the guest. We will definitely book it again.

The hotel does not look bad from the outside. The reception looks very simple. The room size was adequate. The bathroom was a disaster. On the towel was a strange hair. The bed linen did not look clean. Breakfast was OK but for 11 €/person too expensive. On the whole, I don't recommend it any further.

Good hotel with a private parking lot. The bedrooms furniture was a little bit old, but all was working perfect.

Compared to other Ibis hotels of the same category we were very dissapointed — small rooms with unusable bathroom facilities — the showers are not full size single cubicle and you cannot wash your hair without banging your elbows in the walls. Let alone impossible to use if you have medical needs. They do not offer rooms with bigger bathrooms so we are having to relocate as a result.

The Hotel is very comfortable. Clean and correct. The room is very small. The best, the breakfast.

Very accommodating and clean. There are options for vegans, gluten free etc. It’s in walking distance from the central station and the staff are friendly.

The location is great and easy to reach the centre by train. At night it was probably very restless at the hotel. Rooms are very cramped and the bathrooms so small that you can't twist.

The room was tiny but modern. The "special" exterior shape of the building has a negative effect on the layout of the bathroom, making it somewhat difficult to use the toilet.

Location is great and for 2 star really good breakfast selection.
Staff is also friendly.
Unfortunately the rooms are really very small and cramped.
But otherwise top.

Very decent hotel in the centre of Cologne a few steps from the Barbarossaplatz station (a few minutes from the HBF Central station)

Good value for money. A basic hotel in a good location. Plenty of bars and restaurants within a 10 minute walk from the hotel. The rooms are small, but adequate. The beds were firm and comfortable. Bathroom is rather small, but thanks to the high water pressure the shower is fantastic. Friendly staff who look after check in and a small bar in the lounge.

I had a large room which was well soundproof. Decent breakfast with lots of choice.
Waffle Maker available: too good.

Private Parking of the hotel 2 €/h and if more than 6h package of 14 €/24h. If however you leave the hotel by car, you have to pay again! Breakfast 11 €/person! Very small room in any case for the one we had and no bed of 2 people but well 2x1 bed of a person.
At €72 at night we can say that we are very disappointed with the value for money!

Thirty minutes walk from the train station. Very simple double room with a strong smell of tobacco.

Good place but I have been to other Ibis and this was the worst, the room very small and the bathroom uneasy.

I didn't like the room, too cramped. The location Although central has nothing around interesting. It has Ubahn station nearby, but it keeps very crowded.

Good value for money The breakfast was very good and the staff were very helpful. The rooms like all ibis with just enough to be comfortable in a hygienic environment.

Very nice hotel.

The hotel was very close to the center, great thing and in 10 minutes you got there quietly. The rooms are a bit small but complete with everything you need, courteous and very correct staff also in English language.
Only flaws the loud noises coming from the street at night, but otherwise I was very satisfied though normal given the proximity to the main road and subway (great thing I would say).
Also the Wi-Fi worked relatively well to be free.

2 star Hotel located in a good location. The rooms are small but enough, the bathroom also. The Metro is five minutes away. It takes 25 minutes for the Gamescom. Acceptable price, seen what they ask during the fair.

Rooms are very comfortable and clean if a little small (I was in a twin room). Lovely, hot powerful showers. Breakfast was great.

I'm more often (> 150 nights a year) in hotels on the road. Mainly in the accorhotels (Ibis, Ibis styles, Mercure). The room size is normal for Ibis, the bathroom as well. It was also (optical. See below) Clean cleaning in the room. What isn't is the breakfast and the hotel bar. It seems work only unskilled in the hotel. Leave "What is it for a business-card" but all advertising for this lying around. At breakfast, a pitiful selection of bread, rolls and other is given even for an Ibis. The sausage is constantly empty and independent refill lasts forever. Cutlery costs extra and there is no typical Ibis trays also. But now to the reason for the evaluation: the staff is consistently with the same mops the table, then the seats and seating surfaces and then the next table "wiped". This is disgusting and shows how the hotel is run. I wouldn't know how the back way room is cleaned in the. This was not an isolated case and observed over three days in three different employees. Fortunately, this is an exception, and I know many other Ibis hotels with a reasonable management and trained personnel.

Rooms are small but comfortable. Bed is very comfortable. Close to train station & supermarket. No noise from outside comes into the room. Constant availability of hot water. Only complaints were that if we left the tap in the bathroom run for 10 seconds there was an awful sewage smell. Also the first day of our stay we went down to see what was the story with food in the restaurant, the man on reception told us they had no restaurant and directed us to nearby restaurants instead. But on the last day when we were checking out in the morning the restaurant was open and guests were in enjoying breakfast. Not sure why he told us they had no restaurant. My partner is fluent German speaker so this was not a mistake due to a language barrier.

Stay was booked by another person; experienced two rooms. Problems: window broken in one bathroom, light broken in the other; both showers not sealed particularly well so the bathroom kind of turned into a wet-room; and could have done with more plug sockets. The good: service was good and staff polite; location of hotel was great; beds very comfy and facilities all really good excepting that mentioned above. Downstairs bar is nice too! Would definitely stay there again despite the small issues.

We had booked the hotel last November for one night over Internet. Surprise spot: they conceded nor a Cologne bed tax to: — (the garage was unfortunately closed due to overcrowding. ) Took about 30 minutes to find parking in the surrounding streets. The room and especially the bathroom were very very closely. The tram is in just a few minutes to the city centre. In the evening we have been about 30 minutes traveling on foot from the Cathedral plate to the hotel. As a whole can one hotel because of location and price/performance just advice.
