We were very happy with the hotel! The whole staff was very friendly, helpful and competent, despite a lot of work! The room was clean and spacious, air-conditioned and of course Wi-Fi. Breakfast was plentiful choice and beautiful large tables. Highly recommended. We're happy to come back!

It is really great hotel quality and rooms is comfortable and the near to the every area that can in your mind.

I do not recommend this hotel, because my handbag and my husband's backpack were stolen from the hotel restaurant while I went to get breakfast, this was in a time span of about 5 minutes. The restaurant does not have surveillance cameras. They told me that they do not have to guard or take care of my things. I should have been more careful. The management made no effort to minimize this. She insisted that it was my fault that I was careless. I had to insist to call the police. That confirmed my entry and my husband's with the handbag and also with the backpack. So the result was I have no passport, no money and no credit cards. If you choose to stay in this hotel, please do not leave your belongings in the restaurant without supervision. This is the service of a hotel that says 5 stars! Imagine if it was a hostel!

The room I had was big (junior suite) and comfortable. The hotel is quiet and located within walking distance of the main train station. There's a good selection of shops and restaurants around the hotel. The staff was kind, efficient and professional. Great place for a business trip!

We frequent this hotel on a regular basis. The staff are extremely helpful and polite. From boiled eggs at breakfast to helping look up train times everyone is willing to help.

We had a really nice stay at this hotel, staff was very friendly and our room was spacious and air conditioned, which was great because we were in Cologne during really hot summer days. The location is great, train station is a couple of blocks away, as well as main sites in Cologne, there’s a nice bar with life music and decent drinks on the first floor. We really enjoyed the buffet breakfast, which was our only decent meal of the day because around hotel we couldn’t find decent food. Only downside is that you can’t use the gym or pool at least you pay an extra fee and the decoration of the room was very generic and a bit outdated although very clean.

Wonderful hotel! Was for 2 nights for business in Cologne and accommodated there. Super comfortable beds, large room and bath me shower and bathtub. All spacious and clean. Friendly staff and very good location! Also the breakfast is really good. Happy to return!

The location of the hotel is perfect. Breakfast was excellent. I had dinner at the bar in the hotel, which was good, but not excellent. There is a wide range of cocktails available there. The staff at the reception desk is exceptionally friendly and arranged to open the windows of my room at the 4th floor.

Newly built hotel a short walk from the cathedral and shopping streets, great value for money. Large, clean rooms, bathroom with shower and bathtub. Some rooms have Duomo views. Breakfast provided and for all tastes. The only flaw is the cost of car parking 27 euros per day. Recommended.

A weekend away with hubby. We looked forward to it very much & we were not disappointed. Very friendly & helpful staff. Fantastic buffet breakfast. A very welcoming atmosphere. Only down point would be the price of parking. I can understand paying for the 5 star experience & even I agree with the mini bar prices but, €54 is a little expensive for 2 days parking. Would definitely stay again, without the car though.

We were there for drinks and party at the Harry's New York bar. And this tiny nice bar within the hotel is really good for have some drinks and cocktails. Nice music. And the Liveband "2 the universe" was incredible. We had a great time there. We will come again. Thanks for this great night!

The hotel (rooms) as well as the breakfast were fantastic. Hence the four stars. The fifth don't exist because parking is a disaster. The car park is public and tiny, that is, you drive in circles or into the PH in and out again for a long time. If you have finally found happiness and a place, you can pay around €27 after just one day and the hotel does NOT devalue that. With so many stars and the prices, I expected more.

Nice stay in this hotel very well located. The room was spacious and very quiet. Nothing to say about that. The breakfast was very good. The staff at the restaurant (for breakfast) were very caring and really adorable. The hotel is very well placed! A few minutes from the train station and the Cathedral. The area is super friendly and well frequented. I was however very disappointed that I was charged 20 euros for one called early check-in, knowing that I arrived at 11am past (it was not 6h either) and that there were several rooms available. Having been very tired, I decided to pay the 20 euros to rest as soon as possible. I was really angry because I never had to pay an extra for an early check in for arrivals at 10am or even 9am, whether in a 4 or 5 star hotel in several countries…

Very central, with short ways by foot to some of the most popular attractions, e. G. Cologne Dome. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good, but also quite buisy with a bit of a run towards the buffet. I would stay here again!

The hotel is very modern, centrally located, large, modern and extensively equipped room. Very friendly staff at check-in and check-out. The bathroom is very large and there are a shower as well as a bathtub in it. As far as really top. But: the window did not open in my room! The air was therefore stifling. The air conditioning was poorly operated and was not self-explanatory — unfortunately there was no instruction manual. The most unpleasant, however, I felt the bed: it is unclear to me why in such a modern hotel two separate standing (in between is a filing table) single beds with a width of a maximum of one metre there! I can't sleep in such a narrow bed. A queen bed should be present at least. Because of the bad air and the small bed I slept very badly. The hotel is very good.

Paul's Club was amazing as always with singer, Will Russ, Jr, Daniel and Paul Lowe providing the sound, yours truly on backing vocals and deejay ATM keeping it lively and real on the wheels of steel. The staff is efficient and speedy. Excellent location. 1st Saturday of the month!

I imagine some natural positive energy goes around Dorint. The staff is so nice to help in every matter. Rooms are undoubtedly the best. Cleanliness like no other! Breakfast is good too.

Decent hotel with a great quality bar, free access to the band's in the evening and they have no problems making cocktails not on their menu. Just be warned there is a pool/spa connected to the hotel but toy have to pay for it which is a bit of a cheek considering the price they charge to stay there. Great location, right in the centre, 5 minute walk from the cathedral.

Were only in the lobby, which was coloured in the beautiful orange. Waiter friendly, cocktail very tasty. Armchair was already heavily worn and toilets in the eg very small.

I did not like the place. Rooms are very old fashioned. Old structures and fornitures that feel terribly retrò. I was also very disappointed that a room that cost 160 euros per night it was not including the use of commodities such as gym or swimming pool. I'm wondering how you can stay in a 5 stars hotel and pay for it but then have a 2 stars service. Of course you can have it but for an extra cost. Slow elevators, slow Internet connection and dark corridors did not improve my perception of it. People at the front desk were also unfriendly, unaware of billing procedures and also with poor English. I must say, not the best place in Cologne.

Do not let the abundance of well-known hotels in the area overlook this great hotel. BEST location! Breakfast was amazing and rooms were the comfiest and cleanest. Hotel receptionist gave us a GREAT detailed description of what to do and where to go. Thank you Dorint!

The service was very good. Cleanliness was good but not top. Great location. Breakfast was good, but also in details worthy of improvement (partly food was already cold). Parking at 25 euros just too expensive.

The location is excellent and the room is very good and the breakfast is great.
Cleanliness and room staff The bad — it does, in general, cold. In the Hall, in the hallways, in the rooms… it's cold.
No one at reception speaks Spanish.
The parking is Carisimo, double in relation to a public parking that is next door, incredible.
The pool area, surcharge, 15 euros x person per day. Being 5 stars, little attention to the guest.
It's not a 5 *, it looks like 4 at most.

The Dorint is a nice, comfortable hotel aimed more at the Corporate market. It was nicely positioned close to the 4 main Christmas markets.

Very nice Congress hotel, good facilities, delicious catering and professional but discreet service. Centrally located, within walking distance of Central station. By taxi from the airport for about 32, — Euro. I can't say anything about the rooms.

It does not offer 5 star services as the prices instead. Convenient because in the center. Great to get to the fair. Clean rooms good service amenities from 3 star hotel.

Clean hotel. Shower drainage system needs cleaning as water got stuck. Rooms are quiet. Breakfast decent at a fee of 29 euros. Gym is accessible at a daily fee of 15euros for the day, seriously?! Could have it accessible for clients for free.

Great hotel. Minutes from the city center and river tours. Easy to get to. Great service. Recommend setting up a Dorint card prior to your stay for extra perks.

The Dorint is located a few meters from the Rhine, perfect room service, excellent cleaning of the rooms.

The hotel itself is good of course, but they do not have a swimming pool. I decided after some thinking to award one star. After all, this Hotel wants to be top class, but that means that your policies must be clear and they are not. The folder in my room stating the opening hours of the pool did not mention that you are being charged 15 euro for a 5-minute dip in the morning. The pool does not belong to the hotel although there is an elevator from the 5th and 6th floor. I was a bit surprised, but the man at the desk explained to me that I was somewhat stupid being surprised as I could have picked up this information at least 3 times. Small print I would say. He had to concede that the folder did not mention it. My advice would be to ignore this swimming pool and go to Claudius Therme same price better comfort.

Stayed four nights, from Thursday to Monday. Overall it was an excellent experience at a very reasonable price. We were given room 571. The room was quite spacious (lots of space to lay out luggage), and the décor/reno was pretty standard and modern. It had a nice size desk and a comfortable beach fixed to a corner. The bed/pillow were comfortable. The bathroom was of good size and well designed. The Wifi in the room was intermittent however. Our room did not have much of a view (some rooms have a clear view of the Cathedral! ) but it has big windows so the room was bright and airy feel. Overall, a comfortable and functional space. The hotel is quite large (just shy of 100 rooms each floor, I think) so it does take a bit of a walk from the elevator. The ambiance of the hotel was sleek yet very refined/luxurious. The glass wall of the elevator allows all guests to enjoy a clear and direct view of the Cathedral. The hallways and lobby are well decorated. The bar in the lobby appeared to be a very popular place for locals, attracting a smartly dressed, if older, crowd, dancing well into the night (past 1am). All but one member of the front desk staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. (We had an extremely awful experience checking-in, but it was due to a combination of late arrival/a power outage/one particularly incompetent night shift staff. Did not think it would be fair to hold that against the hotel. ) Our room were tidied every day.

Good hotel in central Cologne. Good Wi-Fi, decent sized rooms, and comfortable beds. Could do with a bit of refurbishment of the decor and new carpets. Breakfast is very good and the bar is nice but expensive.

Large and extremely nice hotel with generously sized bathrooms. Our room had both a shower and a separate tub for bathing, which was amazing after a long day of travel. One major complaint though: the rooms have pretty much NO OUTLETS. If you plan on charging your phone next to your bed or using your laptop, good luck. There is only one outlet between two beds in a dual-bed room and the only other accessible outlets are on a desk across the other side of the room or in the bathroom. There is absolutely no excuse to not have more available outlets in these rooms.

15 minutes to find my confirmation at check in. The room keeping is approximate, the dirty wipes are not replaced. The breakfast buffet does not follow… In short it is neither its price nor its stars. I have to get back to the neighborhood, but I'm already looking for another hotel.

Great location. Very clean and everything you need. Stayed in a comfort room which is big, tried to upgrade, but they was no availability. No information about the health suite in the room, but you eventually work out where you need to go. Receptionists always seem busy, but will help you where they can. Live music is played downstairs, which is a nice atmosphere.

I have been honored to sing in Paul's Club in Dorint Hotel 5 times now and this performance was the anniversary of my audition with him! There is a lady who is a faithful patron who has been present each time I have and is always the first one on the floor. That tells me that Paul Lowe is a master at creating a beautiful vibe.
Martin was a magician as always on the guitar. Worthy, the vocalist that I provided backing vocals for is a class act! Extremely giving on stage, he …makes you want to give your best to the show. And can he sing! When you are in Köln, it is a must to experience this event! I need to learn the names of the wait staff because my experiences have been efficient and friendly. They obviously enjoy what they do.

It is a beautiful hotel in a prime location! We had a room with cathedral view. It's just madness. The breakfast is great. From live cooking, many cereals, super sausage and cheese selection including regional products. Various bread and rolls as well as sweet pastries are available. The bar is also an absolute highlight. And the service as well as the drinks and food are definitely worth a visit. Anytime again!

The hotel is lovely and clean and the staff are very friendly. The rooms are a good size but the beds are uncomfortable and the pillows terrible, had possibly the worse nights sleep ever. Also the pool facilities and gym are not included in the price, it's an extra €10 a day which isn't advertised very clearly and a bit of a cheek.

Today I have the Spa relatively early in the morning vitality — area visits. At the reception, I asked for a big bathrobe, I got my key and I went then down in the Spa. There's no one begin explaining the route or the premises one far and wide. I need to figure out all by yourself in a far too small bathrobe: — ()
The water in the pool is very cool. When I got in the sauna area, I fell over for now because the music was so loud. And always the same song. A display, I only found at the end of my visit, you could change this. As a guest I found that something strange and felt during this time not feeling well. Extremely questionable, I think someone in the sauna should collapse, one has lost… I was completely alone there 2.5 hrs.
In the relaxation area there was absolutely to read not a single magazine out of brochures regarding Of the hotels. A refreshing, whether tea or water would be appropriate there. Rather discourages back to drink something there, all doors to the counter.
The sauna area is noble and all saunas are very well maintained and absolutely clean. Atmosphere is very harmonious. It would be great if at least staff to the reception there was to assist and check once in a while in the sauna area.

My favorite hotel in Cologne. Great rooms, very nice bathroom (shower and bath), great facilities. Large gym accessible through one of the elevators in the hotel. If you are booking through big company, try to get the special benefit rates with internet, gym and dry cleaning included.
