Air conditioning worked well in the heatwave, decent sized room and quiet. Everything new and fresh, although the sink in the main room and not in the bathroom was an interesting choice. Would stay there again.

3 star is a maybe, very basic catering. A long walk from the station. There are about 10 steep steps leading to reception, so wheel chair access may be a problem, I saw no signs anywhere to suggest otherwise. The river view is somewhat optimistic. Our room overlooked a dirty harbour. The art work, I felt, was not inspiring. The room was clean.

Chic hotel directly on the banks of the Rhine. To the city you can walk comfortably and you are there in about 15-20min.

The staff is friendly and attentive. The rooms are modernly furnished and clean. However, I didn't like the fact that the sink was right in the room and not integrated in the bathroom.
Otherwise everything was top.

I come back again and again in Artotel, always very nice welcome. Great view, of course, if man Rhine since bay. Breakfast super delicious, the terrace refreshed with lots of flowers. Staff seemed to be very competent. My table was cleared by two service staff very quickly, coffee came immediately.
I can only continue to EMPFEHLEN!

Large towels, UK plug socket & UK TV channels, rooftop observation deck with seating loungers, bar & restaurant, good location, recommended.

Great atmosphere in the lobby and restaurant. Nice room with clean bathroom and modern interior. Unfortunately the windows we're yellow which caused a strange light in the room. The air-conditioning was bad so it was hot in the room. Breakfast was nice with a wide selection of bread, fruit and other food. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is great for exploring Cologne.

The rooms are clean and open. The deco is stylish. The location is great: next to the chocolate museum and the river — hence, ask for a room with a view to that side. The piping has been done so that you can hear every toilet flushing and shower — if you are a light sleeper, remember to take ear plugs with you. The breakfast itself is ok. But the service is miserable: we needed to ask several times to receive forks and knives. We were told to look for clean ones ourselves — there weren’t any available. In the end after raising our voices we received them. We also politely asked the waitresses to fill the water tank of the second coffeemaker, but she would not do it. They wouldn’t boil new eggs either. There were several others around us eating breakfast with only teaspoons, as the waiters wouldn’t bring silverware. So take your own napkins and silverware with you! Paying was also problematic.

Good hotel, good location, good breakfast, noisy air conditioning.

A hotel of the worse category. Rooms artistically valuable but impractical, washbasin in the room, not in the bathroom, air conditioning unbearable noisy, minor flaws in the bathroom accessories, mold in the shower! On arrival, a lift and Wi-Fi were broken. Parking spaces were full, the nearest car park was almost half a mile away. On the ground floor there were also mice to be admired in addition to the hotel guests. Almost logical that even at the bar not everything ran round… long waiting times, overtaxed staff, glasses not clean…
Not recommended.

The hotel is clean, nice design. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was very good. Next to or below the hotel you can park well. Unfortunately, the windows of the rooms no longer close, so it is especially noisy to the street. Also, the bar in the rooms is good to hear.

A few minutes from the centre and on the banks of the river. Hotel is minimalist in decor but perfect for short visits. The rooms are very spacious, but for extended stays there is a little space where you store clothes.

In itself, the visit there was super nice. What I personally did not find good is the sink in the room itself. Otherwise the staff is very accommodating and nice.

Great centrally located place for the Christmas markets! You can walk to all of them from here. Very safe section of the city.

Nice hotel with great rooms in good location. Wonderful delicious breakfast. Even the telephone agreed early check-in has worked out smoothly. Nice staff at reception.
Only the parking garage was occupied for a long time as it is open to the public. This is very unpleasant for hotel guests. Luckily there is an open parking area with parking machines which is free of charge from Saturday evening.

A modern hotel directly on the Rhine. Unlike the hotel in the city centre. However, despite the remarkably young and dedicated team, the hotel was a bit cold and repellent. The rooms need some intake until everything has been found. In particular, sockets are scarce, which in a modern and stylish hotel should not actually be. How should I load a laptop, smartphone and tablet with two sockets?

Really dirty hotel room and extremely unfriendly staff. To offer the Rhine view from the first floor is an absolute flop! You saw almost nothing. Floor heating in the bathroom was not really warm.

Very stylish, very clean and big rooms with excellent beds. Good breakfast. Even room located to the street are quiet, except when close to the bridge.

Really good service and helpful staff. Room was clean and had most of the amenities I expected. Could have done with a few more plug sockets though, and more conveniently placed.

Nice and friendly reception. The room was very clean and loved us: top modern furnishings, sink in room, bathtub & toilet was extra. Only criticism were the separate beds in a double room (not up to date) and if you have located the room to the street side, sleeping with an open window is impossible.

Parking Psch. For €20 is a impudence.

Art 'otel is very well located near Cologne city centre. On our last visit in December it was possible to go directly to the nearby Christmas market!
The rooms are well equipped.
However, I find the parking situation a little unsatisfactory. I understand that it is not possible to accommodate a large underground car park on the Rhine promenades, however, you should expect a little more than fifteen parking spaces at a hotel that offers many times more rooms.
The breakfast buffet was very rich and of good quality.

The delivery of the forms of the cultural funding levy can be saved because it is still deducted. Complaints are ignored! Customer service is not a top priority. What a pity!

A quite solid hotel that breakfast could be better. Am the location lord slightly off the shot dinner always at Vapiano is also not so great. There are definitely central hotels in Cologne.

Perse a good hotel. However, for 4 stars and the price per night I do not understand that the sauna has to cost 6€. Breakfast is okay for the price, but it doesn't invite you to linger.

Minimalist, informal air type Google and mixed with exposed art, both in rooms, as in places of general use (dining room, hallways, …)
Clean, rooms of sufficient dimensions, little cupboard.
Location is perfect if you don't find a more central hotel. 8 minutes walk from the cathedral.

Stylish! Special rooms, good breakfasts. Cappuccino wasn't always hot. For the break there is a coffee machine, which unfortunately produces a lot of garbage and does not produce a good result. The food is great, view of the Rhine, top location. Two days in the park cost 40 euros!

Not worth the money. Terrible service in bar and restaurant. I'm here for the Kind and Jugend trade show and booked a hotel last minute. They are terribly understaffed and do not communicate with other departments. Went to the restaurant that was lit up like a cafeteria, so decided stopping at the bar would be a better option. Sat there for over 30 minutes and the bartender never came over. Complained to the front desk which offered a complimentary glass of wine and ordered my food for me. 1.5 hours later food arrives, no wine and lot's of excuses. Did I mention that I'm being charged 700 plus euros for Saturday night? Staff yourself accordingly if your hotel is full. Don't make your guests suffer. I will never stay here again or any of their other properties.

Comfortable stay. The hotel is 20 minutes walking distance from the center of Cologne. Great location. Usually the parking is full after 7 PM and it is bit expensive (€ 20 from 9-24 hours).

Modern hotel, in a great location on the Rhine within a 10 minute walk from the centre of Cologne. Comfortable room (corner art room), friendly, attentive staff. Great food. Great location for a city break or if you are attending the Koelnmesse Trade fairs (just the other side of the river — 15 minute walk). Highly recommended.

It was a very nice hotel.

Overall a fantastic hotel. A room with a river view is an extra €10, and it's well worth it. Less than a five minute walk from a farmer's-market-looking area next to the Lindt Chocolate Factory Museum. About a 10 minute walk from the Dom (large cathedral) and the pubs. Room was clean, beautiful, and modern. If we're ever back in Cologne, we will likely stay here again.

Very good hotel. I had already tried the one in Berlin and I was delighted.
The Art'otel of Cologne seems to benefit from a slightly less good bedding but still remains well. The rest is spotless, clean, the staff is very competent. The hotel is located very close to the center on foot.

A little pricey for the quality of the room provided. Nice rooms overlooking Reno, but they could be more manicured. Breakfast not included and at the expensive time.

Art'otel is a top. The location is very central and has good connections to public transport. The hotel itself has an extraordinary design and is kept it simple. The rooms are very neat and leave no wish unfulfilled. In the bed, you can sleep very well, because she are convenient and the rooms are very quiet. The bathroom has a wonderful shower.
The equipment is modern and fits very well with the ambience of the hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is kept simple and yet comprehensive. It tasted very good. Thank you for a pleasant stay!

Very modern room facilities. Recommended for a weekend trip to Cologne. 1 km close to the old town. Very good breakfast buffet. A star deduction wegem of the expensive parking fees. Kept very artistically and with roof terrace.

The hotel is located very centrally located not far from the Centre. Unfortunately, the garage was closed so we had to pay €20 Parkgebür for a 4 star hotel but with included should be! We had booked only a room to the busy street, were offered to get us when you check in for €10 which we then also in claims took more one overlooking the Rhine and we then to Valentine's day without extra charge got this! then again well how some of the disastrous parking. Rooms were clean and modern (some getting the sink in the room) and very quiet (if the air conditioning is off)
Unfortunately the bed creaked, this should be fixed!
Breakfast was partially overwhelmed (but still very nice) well but unfortunately the staff worked, owing perhaps to the enormous crowds.
Selection was good and everything fresh
The highlight is the rooftop terrace from which you have a super panoramic view.

Clean, friendly, and convenient. Sharp attentive people behind the desk and friendly folks talking care of the rooms. Very comfortable and just a short walk from downtown Cologne and the train station.

Lovely professional looking hotel with friendly and helpful staff, big modern rooms with lovely art and nice big shower. My only gripe would be the lack of English TV channels as watching Christmas films at night would have been perfect. Also the restaurant was shut the whole time we visited which was a tad enjoying especially as we weren't told when checking in.

Such a fantastic hotel. Jenny on reception was great to chat to when checking in. Reception generally very helpful with things like calling restaurants etc. We paid a few euros more for a view of the river. Nice aspect looking on to Chocolate Museum. Room ultra clean and large for a European hotel. Elemis toiletries a nice touch. Would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cologne.

Nice large room, friendly and welcoming staff, a good, quiet and comfortable night's sleep. Good Wi-Fi and facilities. Sink was in the room which was a bit weird but overall very happy.

A very well appointed hotel in a good location for sightseeing. The staff were very nice. Located on the Rhine in front of aluseo chocolate. You can enjoy a great view.

The hotel was great although small things where lacking. Room service was moved around the communal spaces and used the customer lifts meaning food was exposed to everyone in the lift. Room service had a €3 cost for delivery which is expensive! The hotel is however is convenient for markets clean and modern.

We were at the weekend at this hotel. It was anything but enjoyable. In my sink I have to endure the hair, but the carpet in the rooms and the corridors are very dirty. Unfriendly staff at breakfast was rounded off the negative image. The chairs in the dining room are very worn and wobbly. Room service leaves the glasses of the day before and does not fill the minibar. For the price, I'm used other.
