Room looked old, and no fridge in room. Breakfast was very good. Easy to get to.

The hotel has easy access to the motorway, and is two blocks from the tram station into town. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The restaurant is nice, with other alternatives, including fast food nearby.

Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Nice room. Only the bath was a little old. There's a nice park in the neighborhood that is within walking distance.

Beds extremely uncomfortable and despite booking a double bed two individual beds get. At least the front desk staff were very friendly. But that was all that you can say positively about this hotel.

From the bus by car well located hotel. Pleasant ambience and décor. Lunch was upper mediocrity. But by no means outstanding. The coffee, from both the jugs and the vending machine, taste hideous. A lot really needs to be done about that. The dessert was always great. The cost of a parking space was a bit high but not necessarily overpriced. The air conditioning indoors was pleasant.

Not particularly appealing from the outside. But when you see the rooms, that's forgotten. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. The bathrooms are modern and large enough. What bothered me personally was that, as a hotel visitor, we had to pay the parking lot outside the door. This has never happened to me before.
The breakfast was extensive and the service was able to explain everything in the German and English bilingual. The service staff is polite and courteous. On occasion, I'll be back.

Very nice staff, good breakfast, nice pool. But only negative the size of the room a little small.

Very quickly accessible from the highway. Hotel parking costs Euro 8 per night. Alternatively, you can park for free in the neighbouring industrial area, which you won't notice, as the hotel is almost completely surrounded by large trees and other greenery. Also from the main street you do not notice much, as the rooms are very well insulated, then a bit warm, but then there is the air conditioning. Beer garden and Restaurant. Reception very noisy But the staff is friendly and accommodating. If you want, you can get a smoking room.

Great service, very nice staff. The house needs a basic refurbishment. The rooms are quite small. There are delicious drinks at the bar.

My verdict: Rooms were clean, staff friendly and accommodating, breakfast very good, the hotel overall made a very neat impression.
Small criticisms: Bathroom a little small, no proper wardrobes, ceiling of the pool should be refurbished.
Due to the very low cost of accommodation, almost 5 stars are still justified.

The rooms have no closet to put clothes on, everything from the suitcase. Towels and bathrobes can not be hung anywhere, either in the room or in the bathroom. The Mercure in Frankfurt a. M. Was a lot better furnished. Very noisy, but this is due to parents who let their children go through the hallways (romping around 10pm like the lunatics). Staff however is top, very nice and helpful.
Therefore 3 stars.

The hotel has clean rooms and is just located out of the center of Cologne. The city center is easy to reach with public transportation which is only a few minutes from the hotel. At night there is not that much noise but at the morning the guests who are leaving made a lot of noise, especially from the doors even with the door closed between the room and the hallway. There were plenty of options for the breakfast. We arrived at 09:40 at the breakfast and the staff were already cleaning up the buffet and were vacuum cleaning the room.

I have stayed often there for business trips. Great place, friendly staff, good location.

I have visited the hotel several times now. The reception is very friendly and helpful. The Baar has a modern design. The portions of the food are maga for the prices offered. The rooms are clean. The bathroom is a little small but is enough. Coffee machine with Padds was also on the room. Unfortunately there are no roller blinds, so you can hear the adjacent motorways quite dolly. The breakfast is excellent.

Room perfectly acceptable but nothing special. Room service food and bar is Nice, didn't get to try the restaurant. Had smoking rooms available which is a rare option nowadays.

Nice hotel, not ideally located for the centre of Cologne. The staff are very friendly and their service is very good at the bar/restaurant and in check in. Had 2 meals there, the food was very near nice, but I didn't have breakfast as this was €20! But there is a McDonald's and KFC within 100 yards. Rooms are tidy the beds are comfortable, typically German that you make your own bed! The fitness room has 3 things (treadmill, bike and cross trainer) in it, no music or TV. The swimming pool is tiny.

How this hotel got 4 stars is incomprehensible. I was in the hotel professionally and didn't even get a bill. Neither for the stay, nor for the park ticket.
The highlight was when the night Porter argued with another guest and threatened to fight illegal gangs. "I have Chechen blood, I clarify it my way. " He cried again and again.
A loud din was heard at night. Sleep was no longer to be thought of. Our fear kept us awake all night.
To highlight something positive: The breakfast was good.
I'm not going to take the risk anymore, it's too high for me. That's why I'm going to make a big bow around the hotel chain in the future.

Very funny and friendly staff, especially at the front desk. Nice and spacious rooms. Good connection to the highways. Only downside is that a lot of Chinese tourisr groups stay here who apparently never got even a tiny bit of information about the local culture and the dos and don'ts. In consequence, you will have to deal with obnoxiously loud slurping and other sounds people make when eating with their mouths open… Disgusting! This is NOT meant as a slur against Chinese. I would find it equally disgusting if it were any another nationality.

I was on business for 2 days at this hotel. In my opinion, the furnishings were quite sufficient, but did not spend much time in the room. The only thing I had to complain about was the lime in the shower, otherwise everything was super clean. There was even a kettle with soluble Nescafé bags so that you can prepare a coffee in the room in the morning. The breakfast buffet was super tasty and of all something there (warm + cold). The staff were very friendly and even, especially for me, have put together a lactose-free menu at noon. I really can recommend it with a good conscience!

Breakfast and lunch is very good. Other meals can also be seen. The room is also very nice. The only thing that has bothered were the not good schallisoliererenden windows. And that between two major highways. That was pretty noisy then.

Hotel rooms are never on 4 star level let alone 3 stars.
We had 2 rooms.
In the first room it was very smelly of cigarettes and the duvet had a pretty big blood stain.
We got friendlier white a new room which was just as disgusting as the first one.
Bathroom very small, cramped and old fashioned.
Unfortunately, I cannot understand the positive reviews.

Great hotel, a short walk away from the tram to Cologne. It's mostly set up as a corporate venue, but it suited us just great for our short tourism visit. The breakfast is worth 6 or 7 stars! The restaurant served really good dinner and drinks, with excellent service even for us non-German speakers.

Very nice hotel when you plan to go to the Christmas market but by car because the buses are not ready. The only problem that is a pity and it is the that I take away a star no one speaks French! Even a few words.

I was a guest at this hotel and would forgive 10 ☆ if it went.
The hotel makes a very neat impression. The rooms are spacious and very clean.
After my 5 hour journey I was greeted very friendly by the ladies at the reception. I was told the way to the room very well and also my other questions were answered.
Arrived in my room, I wanted to order some food through the room service, but the number did not seem to go. So I called the front desk. There I was further connected to the bar and was able to place my order, which came soon after that too. Then I should log into the WLAN, but was somehow not capable. So called back to the front desk to let them know. Unfortunately, there were also missing shower towels, which were brought to promt along with the intern Amber. Amber then saved the internet and everything was chic.
All in all I have never visited a hotel where I was so accommodating, friendly and competent as in this.

Friendly young team, breakfast was OK for the price, rooms keep up on little things clean. However, I found the price to be very exaggerated in a short-term booking. The gym doesn't deserve the name, 1 treadmill, 1 stepper and a bike. The sauna runs at just under 80 °c, I've already experienced better. The location is very far away from the city centre, about 25 min by tram, stop is not 5 minutes away. On the whole, suitable for a weekend trip to Cologne, but not the best and entspanntese alternative.

Modern and well maintained hotel. The bathroom was contemporary and in very good condition. The restaurant offers basic but international dishes. The breakfast buffet was top!

Basic but flexible hotel. One night stay to visit the Weinachtsmarkt in Köln. Good breakfast. The room was basic but good for a short stay. The service hotline 2424 was unreachable. Wifi was very slow. We were promised a welcome drink during booking, but no such drink was served. The only bottle found in the room was water costing more as 4 euro. Overall a good hotel to stay for a short visit to Köln and located near the Strassenbahn line 7 to the city.

The rooms were fine. Breakfast adequate and good.
It is a 5-minute walk to the S-Bahn. From there you can reach innehalb from 20 minutes to the city centre/Old Town of Cologne. The trains run regularly.

My husband and I stayed over for the night, we needed a break and some rest as we have a baby that doesn’t sleep and my sister offered to watch the kids for the night so that my husband and I could get some sleep. We decided to book in at the Mercure outside the city because we thought it would be nice and quiet. As we got to the hotel the sauna was not on as they only switch it on at night and you only allowed to use it at night, that wasn’t the big issue, would have been nice to use it immediately but didn’t mind waiting till the evening to use it. The bed was very uncomfortable and there was only 2 small, smaller than single bed blankets on the bed and 2 flat and small pillows. There’s a number you can phone to get 24 hour assistance, no one answers that phone, I tried few times and no answer. The towels were small and dirty, there was only hand towels in our room, no bath towels. Then the music started! There is a nightclub opposite the hotel, it’s technically across the road but the road is like a walk path so basically on the same premises, it sounded like the night club was in our room!

The access to the hotel very easy, close to the highway. Located close to shops, quiet in the evening. Home smiling, speak English, helpful. Clean rooms, extra beds already ready on arrival. Small pool but clean, on the other hand the changing rooms do not have a door closure and a single chair so when there are several people… Breakfast is at the standard Novotel…

Very clean hotel. Staff was very nice and polite. The only downside was that there was no Wi-Fi in the room.

Nice hotel. I spent here cca 60 nights. Located close to the motorway but still quiet enough. Hotel has good connection to the city center by tram and is close to the park (one tram stop). The staff is very friendly. Not all rooms were equiped with mini bar so don't forget to ask if it is important for you. To get breakfast and internet connection, I have always ordered business package. It is not included in basic room rate.

Good location, slept good only downside are the pillows, not thick enough. And for those that care there is no mini bar in the room but you can always buy some snacks and drinks on the desk.

Very good customer service! We arrived well after midnight to be greeted by male receptionist, who was efficient, attentive and smiling. Yes, all at the same time. Our room was nice, too.

I stay in this hotel with my family : 4 people. The family room is simply a double room with 2 more beds. Too smoll for 4 people. The breakfast is good and various.

Nice European Hotel — This is a clean, modern hotel with nice facilities. The breakfast is excellent, they have a nice bar area. The rooms are clean and modern. Small, outdated TV. Slippery tube/shower combination. Not a good choice if you are elderly. My only complaint is that the parking system sucks. They charge a reasonable amount for parking, but half the time your ticket doesn't work. You have to run back inside to get a new ticket. I would prefer they charge me 16 euros more a night and stop all the nonsense with the parking system.

Hotel that practices the overbooking, the admission even of the receptionist: room for 3 reserved and paid, and when we arrive we are told that the hotel is full.
We are being needled to the hotel Mercure du Centre, and there we are offered a room with a bed for 3.
The practices of the management of this hotel, or of the group, are not advisable.

Very nice Hotel, clean rooms and tidy up every day, restaurant inside, pool. Sauna and fitness room. At the reception available and friendly and also a guy who speaks Italian who then took us out of a hindrance. Around two malls and absolute comfort of the Marsdorf stop of the line 7 of the Metro of Cologne to 200metri from which in 20min you reach the city center!

Excellent Hotel with pool and fitness room (small). Room properly held. Reception Service impeccable.

Saubere Zimmer, kein kostenloser Parkplatz, Standort für mich optimal, gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten nebenan. Vor der Buchung hiess es Hunde seien kein Problem, ein Preis für den Aufenthalt wurde genannt. Beim auschecken wurden dann extra Gebühren für den Hund fällig, wovon vorher zu keinem Zeitpunkt die Rede war. Sehr unseriös sowas!

The room is in good to very good condition, is clean and has everything you need for a pleasant stay. Unfortunately the air conditioning did not work, that partly made me the night. Also the price for breakfast was very expensive — I know this from other hotel cheaper and also richer. All in all these are also the only negative points.
