Decent place to stay in heart of the city.

No staff and no breakfast! When we got to the accommodation there no staff, I call twice and after many ringtones it answers a person saying he arrives in 13 minutes. After 35 minutes no one has arrived, I'll call again, he tell me there's a key in a box on the street so we get in. In the morning when we still not seen anyone and no breakfast was there!

Great, an old apartment style housing with good breakfast. Good roadside view from the restaurant and from rooms. Good eating places close by, easily accessible by train and bus. Friendly staff.

Never again! A cell in the JVA is more spacious. It's more akin to the premises of an emergency sleeping spot for the homeless. You only get the one star from me because otherwise I can't write a review!

Room adequate for the price. It was clean too. However, there are deductions for tram and main road right in front of the window. There might be better sound-insulated windows in there. In my opinion, the hotel is also in need of renovation.
Wi-Fi is bad, many apps that need an Internet connection don't work.
Breakfast was not available in the morning, instead a voucher for the fast bakery next door. Not really tingling either. Really only meant for a short stay, for fitters or so.

Noisy atmosphere, unusual furniture. Price still OK. Breakfast good.

Rooms are not cleaned or let new towels provided! In addition, there is a breakfast substitute for a back factory voucher card for 5 euros! Re-painted could also times.

Rooms like in a youth hostel with communal toilet and communal shower. The mattresses are well located.

My girlfriend and I were staying there for a night's concert.
We were able to check in earlier than planned and even got a better room than was originally booked. The reception was very friendly. The room could use new furniture but was clean. The noise and light at night were corrosive, but the view was a plus.
All in all — great value for money!

I am very happy with my hotel stay. The room was well maintained and in a clean condition. Clean towels were provided adequately. Duschschampoo and Gel are also available in the en suite bathroom. The staff at the front desk was very friendly at check-in. Parking spaces can be found in the side streets. The location of the hotel is perfect. The city centre and the alternative district of Linden, with many beautiful bars and cheap restaurants, is within walking distance of about 10 minutes. The area around the hotel offers great views. Directly across the street is a rewe market and the black bear tram stop. There is also the Irish Pub "The Harp", where you can still find a free place on the weekend.

For one night okay. It was clean and the breakfast was good too! But the big part is in the volume in and around the house. I thought the tram was going through my bed and I heard my room neighbor brush my teeth. If you are staying at the hostel, it will be a good place to stay! Staff was very friendly.

Staff is very rude and not interested in your needs. Interior is very outdated and rooms are dirty. The Tram is passing by very closely and the windows aren't soundproof either. If you ask to have some food at the breakfast being refilled the russian lady won't do anything about it but giving you a 'piss-off-look'. Can't recommend the place whatsoever.

I visited the Hotel Schwarzer Bär during a 3-day business trip to Hannover, Germany. The breakfast was very good and included a rich variety of sweets, cereals, bred, fish, and many more. In general the bed in the three-bed-room was comfortable too, but there was no proper desk and no comfortable chair or armchair in the room, allowing to work. Furthermore the shower was quite high above then floor level, not to forget the passing trams causing a rumorous noise every 10 minutes. All together it is a cheap and simple hotel with clean rooms.

Not bad as for the price you pay. Not far from the historical part of the Hannover, 20 minutes on feet.

Linden is a great area and the Hotel is right in the middle. Especially when you get to the Capitol wants. Rooms are simple but clean. For the price absolutely in order. A lot of good opportunities to go out and eat around it.

Beautiful little Hotel in a Prime location. The room was quiet and newly renovated. For a short business trip ideal. Very good and rich Breakfast.

Good little hotel with easy access to the centre of town by tram. Mio Mio restaurant nearby has fabulous pizza.
