Chic Hotel. Good location. Staff very friendly and helpful. You will definitely feel at home at such a nice reception! Rooms are old style but very clean and soft beds. Parking spaces are available in small numbers in front of the door. Breakfast very tasty.

For guests who love the "old", very nice. Caring staff. It is located close to the centre. Parking is available if you are not entering at the time of the holiday. The building tells a story. We stayed several days in the hotel and found it very unfortunate that there was always only the same selection from the buffet. The beds are very large and soft, depending on your preference, there are many pillows. Suitable for meetings or other work stays.

I have been using the hotel for some time for my official trips to Magdeburg. It is an owner-run house where the service lives. This is not about high-end in all variations, but to feel personally welcome. The cleanliness is given at all angles at all times, the rooms are not modern but offer a homely feeling in which it can come down after done work. A quiet environment and still only a 10 minute walk to the Hasselbachplatz, little more to the water. The breakfast may be manageable from the selection, but offers good products that come rare from a sealed packaging. For me the choice in Magdeburg.

The hotel is quite nice and offers simple furnishings (standard rooms). For a 4 star hotel The offer is manageable. The staff is very professional and very friendly. The breakfast buffet is ok even if the offer could be larger. The room was always clean, the same goes for the bathroom. Internet can only be used limited because no VPN option or Netflix has also striked.

We stayed at this hotel as part of the Magdeburg Marathon. We felt our stay was very pleasant. The staff, especially Mrs. Seiffert and Mrs. Rogge, was above average friendly and accommodating. Only for us on the marathon Day breakfast was already prepared at 6:30 o'clock, instead of 8 o'clock. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very quiet rooms. Comfortable bed and the possibility to choose between different pillows. The breakfast is plentiful and has something for every taste. The staff was attentive and very helpful at all times. Great service! The hotel's own WLAN has unfortunately often weakness. Alternatively, a very good mobile LTE signal can be received in the rooms. Especially worth mentioning is the love of the Filel, the daily furnishing of the room and the courteous service at breakfast. You can feel that hoteliers and staff do their job with fun and heart. I felt very comfortable at all times and could start the day well every morning.

Have several days slept and we felt very comfortable. Privacy has been respected. Couple Joop and the staff very too coming!

Thx a lot for the very nice Service. A short hotel with romantic family flair. Every room are different and have a loving touch. Next time I'll come back for Sightseeing not for work.

BIG WARNING for smokers — big warning about Bernd Joop in Magdeburg: I had an interesting travel along that part of Germany, wanted to stay in Magdeburg for a night. And I get shocked. That city is another Sin City in Germany. The taxi driver who was driving me from the trein station was telling me about the DDR, the high-end unemployment rate and all the problems of the poor people living there. And we faced a serious incident already when we tried to get fresh boiled eggs in a restaurant together. But this story is about Residenz Joop where I stayd for a night. Yes, I did smoke in the room having the windows open even it was cold. I did not see any ashtree, so used whatever glas for tooth brushing. Next morning I was an early bird to leave, as I am mostly very early standing up 6 am. 2 weeks later I received a letter from this Residence Joop that they claim a damage of 721 Euro because of my smoking in the room during my staying for one night. They seriously took into account that for this reasons they could not rent out the room for a couple of days and so on. I really feel bad for people living in Magdeburg, but chasing high-profile tourists with 721 Euro heavy bills because of smoking cigarette does not help. They don't live in the real world anymore, they are left in somewhat DDR mentality or whatever. I really need to warn everybody not to spend your money with such strange people.

All-round Wellness package! I was living in Magdeburg for a few day and have to say: a very good hotel, I rarely so well felt. Service top, space top, personnel top, breakfast top, … thank you for the hospitality.

The hotel is rightly its 4 stars! It is not great and breakfast extensive but that's not super everything, if one had to mention something. Rooms are large enough, the State of the institution is not brand new but in very good condition, the House even has a lift and the above-mentioned breakfast is fresh and sufficient in selecting and building situated in a beautiful residential area within walking distance of the Centre. But what is the most important feature: it is a family hotel and it shows. The attention to detail and above all the friendliness. I have stayed there now, already more often and there was never a bad word and special requests are possible on demand without problems. Highest recommendation!

Super gemütlich der Laden!

A Great Room. Facilities ok. Breakfast buffet is top. The owner seems to be the chatter to love…

We were at the beginning of October for two nights, guests in this house. Super nice Team, great breakfasts, individual wishes are, of course, finally times a Hotel is NOT made of concrete for best feel-good factor and a big Garage for our bikes rounded out the care package for us. We are already looking forward to the next visit. I hope, then, is a room free. See you soon.

We were passing through and have the short stay very much enjoyed. Hospitality and Service were excellent, The Hotel has charm and is very inviting, especially to be highlighted is the Breakfast, that even though we're the only guests were individually prepared got. We will come back again.

Very helpful, courteous and friendly service/staff/host. Very good location, no car required, is public TRANSPORT accessible. Very quiet location, although it is in the city. Varied and rich Breakfast buffet. Rooms and cleanliness perfect.
