Industriepalast Berlin Hostel

I totally recommend this hostel. It has a good price, there are big rooms, super clean toilets, good showers, lovely and helpful staff and it is well located.
The price of their breakfast is worth it as well.

I really love this hostel. The front desk staff is very nice. For instance I had no euro on me but they let me charge the two euro key card deposit with the fee for my room. Other places wouldn't allow this. Also, breakfast is very delicious. I've had unlimited breakfast many places, but only here do they have a myriad of dipping sauces, much like the Indian places I used to go to eat in New York. There is plum and cranberry jam, very unique. The rooms and restrooms are clean. The outdoor area is very pleasant and there is a bar with good wine I've had before. The only warning is to bring sheets or purchase and bring your own soap for shower. (There is also some for purchase there. ) Thank you!

Great find: this little jewel is far more than a back-packers overnight stop. A lobby stuffed with games, and graced by friendly multi-lingual staff, Wi-Fi that really works, breakfast for the hungriest of people, rooms that are clean and comfortable, at a great price. Ian, Marcena and Sarah.

Love this place, I've been there 3 times, always clean the staff is nice and welcoming the only bad experiences comes from others travellers that ain't always respectful, but overall just go there it's close to everything ^^

We were in a group of around 40 people. The checking was quite smooth as they left it on us. The staff was really friendly and the hostel was really clean and well organized. We were given a big room in the basement to keep our bags before our rooms were ready to be checked in. Only one small complain/improvement suggestion: The breakfast on the weekend is a bit late. If you are travelling on a really tight schedule, you might miss it.

Great hostel! The best I've ever visited! The location is just wonderful, just outside the MercedesBenzArena. She lived in an 8-bed room with her bathroom. The bed is clean, but it is necessary to put on, towels give, hair dryer and iron on bail. The entrance on the card is magnetic, the kitchen is equipped with just superski! I didn't take breakfast. Hangouts with friends in my hostel for places enough for everyone. Subway and trains nearby, Eastside Gallery in three steps, to the center twice walked) ) ) If you are sure to return here!

Fantastic hostel experience. Not the most outgoing crowd, but definitely friendly. The beds were great, the location, while not central, is in a busy and interesting area, near the East Side Gallery and many clubs. The staff was super friendly, and the common space is quite nice. Only complaint is that the kitchen can be a little short of dishware and the like, but olnot chronically so.

Big, clean hostel. No unpleasant smells (unless you are "lucky" with neighbors). Very helpful staff. Clean bed linen. There is a yard. The only thing in the rooms for 6 people and the shower is not enough hook for towels in the shower cabin. You have to wet the floor when getting. As a result there is always wet. The location is great. Near the Berlin Wall, a lot of cafes. Before Alexander Platz a couple of stops on a suburban train.

This place is really fun to stay at ; they have pool, ping pong, and fooze ball downstairs to play. The service is really nice and helpful as well. Facilities are really clean which is a huge plus for me. The location is very nice and next to a bunch of places everyone would want to go to, and if you're trying to go a little farther, it's right next to a bunch of public transport options.

Great hostel convenient location for youth holiday. The room was very clean. Nearby there are many clubs, places of rest, Quay, Berlin Wall, places where it is possible to have a cheap snack.

We were now the seventh year in a row with a school class in the industrial palace and have had a great time again this year. The staff is extremely friendly and competent, the rooms are clean and the breakfast is spearheaded! All thumbs up and next year happy to:)

Rooms are clean and beds are fine. Personnel is terrible. There are very strict house rules. No drinks are allowed in the rooms, and when you accidentally (really accidentally! ) walk in in the middle of the night with your beer still in you hand, the personell will try to throw you out on the street. At that moment. In the middle of the night. Also, during the day cleaning personell will check the rooms for forbidden items so store things like alcohol out of sight. So hostel is fine, not the nicest and smartest personnel. Fine to go there, but make sure you behave.

It is very well located, 5 minutes from the wall to another 5 from the S-Bahn station which leaves you in the centre in 10 minutes. The rooms are large and clean. The bar has coffees, beers. At A good price. That yes the sheets have a cost of 2.20 per bed.

Great reception, the building is beautiful, the rooms are clean.
On one side there are kebabs and bars, on the other a bakery, the S-Bahn, convenience stores, pubs.
Really well placed to spend a few days in this sublime capital.

I really do NOT recommend this hostel! We booked five places and had to pay full price for sixth bed because it was 6-person room (we didn’t book private room option). Inspite of the fact that we had „private” room and it was automatically locked (the card is necessary to open) IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT SOMEONE ENTERED THE ROOM and when one of us woke up he just escaped. In the morning it turned out that one wallet was missing. The negligent reception service said that they don’t have even monitoring and it was maybe someone from security (interesting that security enters the rooms and escapes when someone in the room wakes up). They did not even apologize to us for the situation … What is more they did not agree for cancelling reservation for one person for one more night (btw. It was the person whose wallet was missing…). The service was very rude and unhelpful. For example just before leaving the hostel we asked them for opening the parking gate for us and we had to honk few times because the guy from the reception seemed to ignore it… The hostel was also very disappointing, everything was extra charged — faster internet, alcohol (own alcohol was not allowed), bedlinen (and it was not even in the room). The toilet paper is not extra charged so sometimes THERE WAS NO TOILET PAPER in the bathroom!

I was very positively surprised, I must admit. Since my overnight stay was down in the short term, I have had to look for numerous hostels in the middle of the night and in response I experienced very unfriendly staff, full hostels and exorbitant prices.
In the Industrial Palace I was greeted with wit and friendliness and I had to do that after the hours of Herumstreunerei at minus degrees. The prices were very cheap and in my eight bed room I did not feel like in a departing, but rather like the hotel. Toilets and showers just around the corner and very clean.
I will certainly have to return to Berlin soon and I would like to go back to the industrial palace. The location is also recommended for all needs.

This hostel is ok. The prices aren’t the lowest and each room does not have it’s own bathroom. Beds aren’t really comfortable. But it is located in a nice spot, really close to the s trains. I wouldn’t recomend this hostel because there’s a much better one very near. Try Plus Hostel, it’s cheaper and better.

Good location. Very nice entrance and good atmosphere. In the basement there is a game room quite appetizing to use. The rooms are very large and the bed is very comfortable. Clean bathrooms, showers have door with latch.

Good kebab and good soups the Lentillen (PSK I'm gluten free), and Spaghet one.

Had a private room. Very clean. Super helpful and friendly staff. Unbeatable location. Spacious facility, doesn't feel cramped like so many hostels I've stayed at.

We slept in a twin with double bed bathroom and TV. Clean comfortable and very quiet.

Price is definitely OK, double room which was booked was clean and modern. Centrally located.

This hostel was very clean, staff were amazingly friendly. Rooms were available in a variety of sizes, beds were comfortable, prices were good, the bar was pretty cheap. I would easily stay here again, great location near the metro — just under a 5 minute walk.

The hotel is well located. A few meters from U Bahn and S Bahn station. It offers several activities (baby foot, ping pong… etc).
Its location is ideal for partying (Watergate, Chalet, Bargheim,. Etc. ) are nearby.
Relatively cheap price especially as my visit was on New Year's Eve.

The hostel was fine, close to the subway and the train. The bad thing about this place is the kitchen that was always dirty. In addition, we took a coffee and a packet of rice whole.

Friendly helpful staff. Location close to plenty of public transport options. The area has quite some life so you will never feel bored. If you are visiting Berlin for techno, the location is nicely situated to be close to many of the major clubs. I would definitely go here again.

Some of the reviewers seem to discover what a hostel it is. If you are looking for a four star hotel for the price of your stay, you are certainly out of place. The breakfast is perfect for 6. — Euro. In many hotels The breakfast is already more expensive than the overnight stay here. The double rooms (only the one I can rate) are small but clean and offer everything you need. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

We were now for 2 nights in the Industrial palace and we have to say that we are mega satisfied.
The staff are really friendly, everything worked and was also very clean and the hostel also has a good location (in 2min by car we were right in the center).
Booked us a room directly for next year.

Good hostel with nice staff. The dorms are very large and the hostel decoration is very cool. The hostel as a nice spacious lounge with snooker and a bar, and some extra space outside to chill. Good Wi-Fi. The outlets inside the dorms are badly located. Good location with cheap prices. Bring your own bed linen and lock for the locker.

The rooms are modern, tidy and well maintained. The entire building exudes a pleasant industrial charm where you can feel well. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast holds a sufficiently large and delicious variety ready. All in all, there's no complaining here. The Industrial Palace hostel can be seen and does not shy away from the comparison to many hotels.

Hostel itself not bad, clean and nice area to hang out. Reason for giving 1 start is because I feel they overcharged me for the stay, which considering the fact I'm staying in a hostel is an important factor when deciding. The price I was quoted on Hostelworld was different to that of when I arrived. Email confirmation said all taxes had been included, but was charged an additional city tax, this one I can compromise with, but it should probably be mentioned in the email. However, the additional cost of the hostel not in the email confirmation and the bedding I feel is unfair. Suggestion would be to be careful when booking. When asked about the price I didn't get a reasonable explanation of the costs.

I spent my final trip there. I was never a fan of accommodations during class trips but this hostel just convinced me. Very nice and spacious rooms, friendly staff who are very happy to help and a great stay are promised to you.

Stayed here for a week. Fantastic place with fantastic​ staff. Very modern and clean rooms. Very large and relaxing lounge. Prices are vey reasonable and the location is ideal. There is only one laundry machine but you can do your laundry one block down the road if you like. Bring earplugs though cause Berlin is a noisy city!

Pretty good hostel, with all the basic requirements completely met. The location is ideal, rooms are clean and staff is friendly. The atmosphere in the hostel is also quite okay, with a lot of young people being social. Maybe not the prettiest or most Social hostel, but definitely a very solid choice.

We were very happy with our stay here. The bedrooms are large and Wi-Fi worked great. Outlets are not very conveniently located though. The hostel location is good. If you wash clothing, you may have to get a bit creative about hanging clothes to dry. Staff was friendly and helpful. Remember to bring a lock for the lockers.

The location is great, as far as accessibility goes. There's a lot of interesting things going on in the environment, not least a _lot_ of construction and renovation going on. The area itself is colourful and vibrant. The hotel/hostel is clean and spacious. The staff is very helpful and friendly. As far as the hotel room goes, the bed is not great, but about on par for the type of hotel. Room itself is sparse but large and the bathroom is new and nice. Price/quality wise probably the best in Berlin.

The place is very good, very clean and everyone is very friendly. The location is very good, across from S-bahn and U-bahn sation, and right by many bars and clubs. The only concern was that it was a little loud from the streets, because of a very busy location. But still a lot worth it.

A very well appointed hostel in a fantastic location with friendly and helpful staff, comfortable beds, and a very tasty breakfast buffet. My only complaint is the Wi-Fi; a lot of comparable places I've stayed at don't charge extra for it (though 5 euros for 5 days wasn't unreasonable), and the connection wasn't very good, which caused me a lot of problems when I had to do a work-related Skype call. Aside from the Wi-Fi issues (which unless you have to use it for an extended period of time isn't a massive issue, since you're in Berlin, for goodness sake, go enjoy the city), Industriepalast is an amazing hostel and I recommend it to anyone taking a trip to Berlin!

Extremely clean place and has great access to S-bahn and U-bahn. Lots of restaurants nearby. Overall the staff are helpful. There are a couple of them that seem to be annoyed when you ask to buy a drink from them. They charge you for absolutely every little thing-the Wi-Fi connection is really pour-especially for something you pay for. And 6 euros for breakfast is expensive in Berlin, the food we found was very cheap. There's a bagel place a few doors down with great breakfast for 3 euros. Overall great experience and I would stay again.

I've been to many hostels around the world … aber so clean toilet & shower facilities very positively surprised with the many guests.
It was also unusually quiet despite the many young party guests.
Very good location and connections to public. Means of transport.

Wicked hostel. Well priced. Does the job. Was perfect for a big group of us partying in this insane city. Great location, friendly staff, pool table, table football, Wi-Fi, table tennis, bar, breakfast. It's got the lot & it's dirt cheap.

Great location. Great facilities. Awesome staff. Spacious rooms. I really enjoyed staying there. The fact that it is so close to the S-bahn and U-bahn makes it real easy to access any part of Berlin! Keep up the good service.

So I was on carnival in Friedrichshain, in the industrial Palace, just super! The location is perfect and the rooms were also super.

I was here this past August, and I just never got around to writing a review but I absolutely LOVED my experience. All of the employees there were amazing, fun, and extremely helpful! I definitely recommend renting a bike, because that is the best way to get around in Berlin. Berlin is also absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to go back and stay here again! :)

Six girls have spent a weekend in Berlin to the hen.
The 6Bett-Zimmer was equipped with everything what we needed: private shower, private toilet! The room and the bathroom was very clean and in very good condition.
A bed was broken on the side of something, have been further right at the reception desk. Half an hour later Julius and Mike were faced with a new bed with our door! Friendliness, service, breakfast just TOP!
Also the beds are very comfortable, what has very pleased!

It is actually a great place to spend time in the city of Berlin. People is nice and breakfast is quite nice as well if you do decide to pay for it. For those who love party it is located just few meter from a very popular club call Matrix. Premises are quite clean as well.

Very good stay at IP hostel. Great position, close to the S-Bahn and U-Bahn; very clean rooms and toilette; very confortable lobby and friendly staff. Only the Wi-Fi connection was a little bit slow. I defenetly will come back.

Friendly staff, nice breakfast, Beds were fine to sleep on, even if the pillows were a bit funny. Would've liked some kind of bathroom mat though, 6 of us taking turns to shower, and the floor in the bathroom was soaked by the end of the morning. Overall a nice stay, and only 5 minutes from the Mercedes Benz Arena.

Beware of added charges for bed sheets and Wi-Fi. Somewhat lacking in facilities and atmosphere, but it's clean and modern. Breakfast was nothing special despite the higher price than usual.

The Hostel is super. Rooms modern, clean and well maintained. The location is optimal, no matter whether your Berlin on foot, by bike or with the S-Bahn to explore want. S-Bahn Station directly in front of the door. However, those with an open window sleep, should a room to the inner courtyard take, because the roads — and S-Bahn noise otherwise are unbearable. When the window is closed, this is not a Problem.

I was only a night there at the outset to say. In any case, was the welcome at the reception very nice, single room is pleasant large and clean. Since there are nothing to complain about. More I took, as much does not claim and could not complain. My Recommendation.

Stayed here, love it. Perfect for those hipsters looking for a place to blend right in. The receiptionist was exceptionally nice, and the room? whoooosh not like ur usualy amsterdam shitty hostel. This one looks like a hotel, but with shared, clean bathroom.

It was my first stay in Industrie Palast and I am goint to come back for sure! It was everything very clean, confortable, well connected and the staff were very friendly! Angela.

Had great time! People were always really attentive and ready to help. I had a little problem with some tickets for a concert, and the hostess helped me at the moment calling the entreprise. The room, the bathroom and the shower were always clean and I never had to wait to do what I wanted to. The lobby has a great atmosphere, cheap beer (but that's I think is part of Berlin) and a nice structure. The hostel is also really well placed, we have everything around us, and Friedrichshain is awesome! Great job.

I was looking for a cheap stay in Berlin and I found the "industriepalast" really interesting because of the position. I stayed there just one night in a shared room, but it was nice. Good value for the money. My bed was quite comfortable and the room was clean and, more important, they had warm water for showering (this costs an extra in some hostels). The real highlight of the place is its position. Very close to the S-bahn and U-bahn stations! Very cool for visiting Berlin with comfort. I also recommend the personnel at the desk, they are really kind and helpful! If I'm going to Berlin again, I'll try to go there again.

I am so glad I found Industriepalast Hostel in Berlin. It's located in a very fun area and quite easily accessible by public transportation. Friendly staff, chill lobby, and clean, spacious rooms. I ended up having a dorm room to myself, so for a very comfortable stay the room was super affordable! I would certainly stay here again.

We had two great nights in the industrial Palace. The rooms are super large and spacious, the showers and toilets clean and comfortable, only the shower spray is I Feel for too hard… The Hostel is located almost perfectly and is the price/performance ratio is optimal! We will come back!
