Very nice modern area in Berlin. You will find places to eat, shop or even relax on the grass. Close you may also find the Cultural area with Libraries, Music Halls and more. Close to Tiergarten and to many events that happen there.

This place is awesome! It has a lot of shops and cinemas. These buildings are astonishing, most of them are constructed in an american modern style. If you look at these buildings at night, you might feel yourself in a cyberpunk environment!

Great place to get to know another side of Berlin. Although it is the most modern point of the city, it is one of the oldest places in its history. Many options for walking, shopping malls, restaurants, bars, and even sections of the wall to visit… It is imperative to take a tour of these apples before you leave.

Well-known Place with a nice Market and pleasant Sellers. Unfortunately also a few Hut Players on the way, but overall a very positive Impression and definitely worth a Look. Even if you are not invited to Stay for the long term here, it is still a nice Place!

Friendly staff. Check-in earlier is available if you pay 15 euro extra. The room was very clean. The hotel is near the metro station (3 minutes walking). Potsdamer Platz has a lot of restaurants to offer and the shopping area is really good (The Berlin Mall). I liked that they gave us complimentary drinks upon arrival in our room. The surrounding area is quiet, so if you want to have a good rest in the evening, this place is recommendable. On the check-out date, they were willing to store our luggage for a certain time. The lobby is spacious and comfortable chairs and sofa to rest on. It would be nice if they had a toilet downstairs so if it's not possible to check in the room yet the people can make use of the toilet.

Gorgeous place with a lot of really stunning modern architecture nearby. A few pieces of the Berlin Wall are dotted about around here, so if you don't fancy a trip to the east side gallery you can still get a feel for the art people have painted over time. Close by to a lot of things, checkpoint charlie being a 10 minute walk away, the mall of Berlin being 2 minutes down the road. A lot to see and do here and a good central location with a train station here too if you want to go further out.

There is a 360 degree viewing point with cafe in the brown building. It cost €7.50 per person to go up and see the view. A huge shopping mall is also located here. It has everything in it you could want.

It's a pretty quiet place to be sightseeing. There are two shopping centers, the Mal of Berlin and the Arcaden. Great! Then the sonycenter to go at night, spectacular! The Walk of fame goes unnoticed but it is very curious. Do not go to the Museum of cinema is not worth, better than the design that is next to the Philharmonic, a pass. And speaking of the Philharmonic, every Tuesday there are free rehearsals/concerts of one hour (information on the website) where I recommend going an hour earlier. A delight of place to enjoy the best music for free. Then once a year they make an event outside the very interesting free Philharmonic also (I recommend taking chairs and picnic lol)

Modern, new, very busy place in Berlin! People love to come here to have a meal, a drink, to shop and people who love modern architecture also will be delighted. I m more historical person so I was not impressed, but I admit at night it has nice and colorfull lights. Visitors (young in particularly) should come here to feel Berlin's life out.

Christmas Market here was great. The tyre slide looked good fun The fragments of the Berlin Wall in situ was both fascinating and insightful. The Sony Centre looked amazing. Easy to reach via transport and not far from the Brandenburg Gate or Checkpoint Charlie. The local shopping centre offered good shops and a respite from the cold weather. Well worth a visit.

Neat little place. There was a Christmas market here where we stopped for lunch and got a tasty bratwurst. Almost all of the stalls were closed during the day (the market hadn't officially opened yet) but there were still little huts for eating in and people watching. It's a busy area with lots to see. There were several people going around asking for money though, one being quite pushy.

Amazing place to be for Contemporary town planning and architecture. Don't miss the Sony Center next to Potsdamer Platz. Local German flim stars Walk of Fame on the crossing. A small standalone chinese Pavilion next to U2 entrance. Basement planning and connectivity to Sony Center from Potsdamer Platz should not be missed as there are hidden shopping arcade which can be explored. Just at the entrance of Potsdamer Platz you will find Sculpture with mirrors on top which shows reflection of yourself if seen carefully as it placed at an angle. Sony Center next to Potsdamer Platz is treat for the architect with open atrium plaza activities happening all around. Sony Center houses IMAX and a performing theatre with love shows to watch out for.

One of the best places im Berlin. The whole area was destroyed during the war. All tge buildings are newly constructed and looks modern.

Historic, clean and practical. Is a major subway, tram and bus hub, with connections to all parts of Berlin. Is also the staring point for several hop-on hop-off tours.

I don't really understand these sprawling concrete areas. They're open but there's nothing here. Nearby you have the Sony Centre and Mall of Berlin. If those aren't your thing, skip this place all together.

At night the view is amazing!

I have an impression that someone — while rebuilding this place after 1990 — forgot about people. Huge buildings with dark streets between them, nothing to look at, no nice places. Only the Sony center seems to be worth visiting and offers some nice places to sit and enjoy time. I advise to visit PP while it's dark — the view of enligtened buildings is unforgettable. If you look carefully, you will albo find very interesting international bookshop there — with many books about Berlin, Germany and German language. And blocks from the Berlin wall, which was cutting the place in half.

A large, modern area of Berlin.

Modern and centrally located in the heart of Berlin. Transport to and from was a breeze. Plenty of things to do and see. After a long day of sightseeing it was great to unwind and enjoy a coffee and something to eat. The Sony centre had a great vibe at night. Have a meal or something to drink or catch a movie at the cinemas (some movies also in English). The observation deck across the road was a fantastic way to see the city.

Good train and Bus connections! To decorated Christmas beautiful. Ten minutes from the Brandenburg gate to walk away.

A Must for anyone that Berlin has not yet seen. A secret tip is the Elevator to the panoramic point, with Europe's quickest. From up there you have the perfect view of the whole of Berlin, including the Berlin TV tower. The Brandenburg gate is not far away, and you can also eat here quite well. The Sony centre offers a few cool Restaurants.

The only place in Berlin where you really get the feeling to be in a metropolis like New York. Because the Rest of Berlin is built actually quite flat. Correct high-rise buildings, Berlin has not. Of the "skyscrapers" you can't talk.

Nice atmosphere whether you're a tourist or not. Very open spaces and interesting shops and locations within walking distance. Plus a great movie theater — Sony Center. Everything is pretty pricey however so no 5 stars from me.

The Potsdamer Platz has changed in the last few years and there are many good Restaurant. Especially the Italian Restaurants are highly recommended. Since I work right on the square, I know myself very well there, and I go for a walk in my lunch break.

Expensive and touristy, but lindenbrau has good beer, and cinestar has the the best screens showing movies in english in berlin.

This hotel was once good, but she already wants repair, cracked ceilings, leaking shower stall, slit the size of a finger in the front door. The only plus is the Breakfast buffet and everything was delicious.

Great location, great service. The room was big and well design. only the toilet were small. I didn't took breakfast (kids under 15 are free of charge). The only problem I saw is the elevator which you can wait a lot. But it should be more then 3 stars hotel.

Postdamer Platz, a major commercial development in Berlin that is only completed recently. Before the fall of the Berlin Wall, this entire area was just a desolate space. It was divided in two by the Berlin Wall. You can literally walk the Berlin Wall. This line marks the spot where the Berlin Wall once stood. Before the war, the place was the former gate into the city, called the Postdam Gate as the road leads from Postdam. Today, it’s a major U-Bahn station, a gateway to the rest of Berlin. In fact, this is actually the first railway terminal in Berlin.

Nice city ambience. Many good restaurants and cafés around the area. There are shopping malls too nearby. Cool place to hang out.

Clean modern rooms, reltivy high price though but you are paying for proximity to tourist hot spots.

Room was big for myself (one person) and clean. I checked in early at no extra cost. There was a fridge and microwave in my room which was very nice. No problems at all, except for a fire alarm the first day, but I don't think it was planned. Location was very nice, right next to a subway station, so transport to most places was easy to access. Did not try out any of the services or food at the hotel restaurant. Cons: free internet is very spotty, keeps dropping and reconnecting. Bathroom sinks are very small. Shower does not have anything at the bottom to stop water leaking out.
