Very nice hotel with spacious rooms, in a perfect location for us. The service is also very good.

The breakfast is plentiful and you get everything on request. But the staff at breakfast is totally overwhelmed and also understaffed. At our breakfast the butter was missing and we had no chance to reorder it. I wouldn't recommend this hotel. The open bathroom is also very disturbing and I've never seen it like that… With sleep is also nothing in the early morning you are awakened by the church bells and through the windows you can hear everything even though you are too. Parking for 18, 00 Euros is a naughty thing.

Arrived tonight and first impressions are amazing! From the outside, it doesn’t look as good as it does once your inside! The rooms are spacious and very comfortable! The bar is spacious and the two bar tenders have been great! I have 3 nights here and I’m very happy with my choice, for my first visit to Berlin! If your searching for a hotel in Berlin, stop right here! Look no further, you won’t be disappointed!

Great hotel, friendly staff and good location.

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. Very helpful staffs who helped us book our hop on hop off, and the housekeeping staffs were really helpful and friendly. Breakfast is also superb. Our group of 60 people from Paris, France truly had a wonderful time.

A good location in the old Eastern sector. 10 minute walk to main plaza, shops, trams buses and underground. Excellent breakfasts, and restaurant. Staff extremely helpful, polite with good English, which for us was necessary. Room quiet, very clean, lovely and warm especially with it being so cold outside, piping hot shower and water, everything worked!

Received a free upgrade on our room upon check in, lovely staff and a happy, clean atmosphere all around.

The hotel is in a very good location for transport, both from the airport and around Berlin. The room was very clean, spacious and quiet. A higher level of lighting would have been welcome. All the staff were helpful and efficient. There was a fine selection at breakfast and the atmosphere unhurried. The dinner menu was good and the food of high quality and attractively presented. The restaurant staff were outstanding. In all, a very positive experience and we would certainly use the hotel again.

My friend and I stayed two nights at the hotel. The staff was super friendly, the rooms perfectly clean and lovely. There was a mini fridge, a coffee capsule machine and everything else you need in a hotel room. We were allowed to check in earlier than expected because the room was ready for us. They provided soap, shampoo, body lotion and a shower cap as well. The parking was right next to the hotel, and we were allowed to park there even after checking out — of course we paid for it, but it was very convenient. Overall a perfectly nice stay at the Leonardo Royal at a very reasonable price — very affordable, actually. It has my best recommendations.

As previously mentioned, the hotel is about 15 minute walk to Alexanderplatz or three stops on the bus which are very frequent. The area is so so but it is in the old East Berlin, so progress is ongoing. The hotel is better than it looks — a 1950's office block. All the staff are friendly and speak English. The food is good and the breakfast gives one a lot of choice. The scrambled eggs are particularly recommended. Our room was small, but adequate for two adults. I would recommend and hopefully will return.

Overall great hotel. Just really disappointed that we had spent so much money for a better class hotel that stated they had air conditioning but the air conditioning wasn’t working and we weren’t informed on arrival which was also disappointing. As we had 3 adults inside the room it got really hot and had no way of making the room cool. We mentioned it the next day and a fan was arranged but it didn’t really do much considering the size of the space. Breakfast was good had great selection. Staff in this area were lovely and helpful.

From start to end. The staff at the hotel from reception to cleaners were all very friendly. The hotel is very clean and has spacious rooms. I parked in the underground parking for 18 euros — a reasonable daily fee. It's about 15 min walk to the centre Alexanderplatz, the observation tower and boat rides. Lots of places to shop and eat. I travelled with 2 children who enjoyed how spacious the rooms were. Also good coffee machine in the room and we used the fridge for baby food — bonus. Thankyou for great memories and making our stay enjoyable.

Excellent location, near Alexanderplatz, U-Banh stations, trains and bus. Tramway's station in front of the hotel. Easy to access to everywhere in the city. Comfortable, clean and big room with coffee and tea. Really quiet. Nice staff.

We did a short week break in Berlin and probably similar to most took a stab in the dark with our hotel choice, it worked out really well. We found the hotel no problems, the bus and trams have stops very close by. On check-in we were upgraded, that never happens to us so we were pleased that we got a really good room for our stay, it was very nice. The reception and concierge team are spot on, all the help we needed when we needed it, you could purchase tickets in the hotel for transport, getting around was a doddle. The Hotel is very well located for the stunningly good German public transport system; you could get anywhere, quickly and with no fuss (a day adult ticket cost just 7 Euros). Literally five minutes down the road on tram M4 to Alexanderplatz where you’ll find lots of shops, food, things to see and a transport hub. There are a few good bars and restaurants nearby but make sure you also try the hotel, reasonably priced and very good! It was just an excellent experience. What did I learn? Berlin was much more interesting than I thought it would be, you need to get yourself organised before you go, and for me have a minimum of four full days on the streets, also stay at the Leonardo and spoil yourself!

The hotel is good, the location is super. Of the flaws only that the room has to walk along a long corridor of meters so 70 and that the car is in the room but the capsules put stopped on the third day of seven and had to go down to the reception (and this is two times through the corridor) and ask themselves.

A very good hotel from any point of view. It is large but extremely quiet (not once did we hear noise in the hallway or neighborhood).

It is also well located for discovering Berlin: It is close to a tram line and a bus. It is also close to the Alexanderplatz (15 minutes by foot or 2 tram stop) The only downside is the breakfast price: 19 euros!
So we went to Melice Cafe (bakery) where for 7 euros we had a full breakfast (salty or sweet). It is located just 200 m from the hotel.

Good stay. I was charged $16.00 after I left. I am assuming it was for the city tax maybe? Really not sure why I was charged if it was something else. Staff was very helpful and very nice. Great customer service. I was accommodated well for a late check out. Their house red wine was actually really good and cheap. Great location!

The hotel is nice and most of the staff were very friendly. The piano is not necessary and should not be next to the rooms. It would also have been nice if the coffee was replaced daily, instead of only supplying a single coffee pod for my entire 3-day stay. Overall the hotel is in a good location and very clean.

The hotel was nice and the staff were pleasant and helpful for the most part. The rooms are spacious and tidy and the staff are efficient. The location was fantastic. Even though we had a few hiccups with check in, I would still stay here again and I would recommend the hotel to others. Make sure you get the breakfast when booking. Oh, and don't put your key card next to your phone.

Good hotel with good location near (about 500 meters) to Alexander Platz. The hotel is a conference hotel. Very many conference rooms and over 300 rooms. There's always something going on here. The food was good but not fancy or not extensive. However, the basics are present. The rooms are large and very clean.

Rooms (standard) are rather smaller than they appear on the hotel's photo, but very nicely furnished, lovely shower room, powerful shower and very clean. Shower room has special touches like a heated mirror and a heated bulb on a timer. There is a tea tray but only has a powdered coffee creamer instead of milk. Got a complimentary bottle of water in the room. Fridge in room too. You get a fat and a thin pillow each so should suit most people. Lots of sockets for your electricals. Great breakfast, reasonably priced when booking as bed and breakfast (otherwise it's €19). Haven't managed to get a channel on the TV yet. Staff great so far. Edema supermarket with cafe close by. We got interconnecting rooms too.

Great hotel and excellent service. It is clean and well kept and just a stone's throw from Alexanderplatz. You can walk or take the M4 tram from across the road. The room was quite spacious and well kitted. There is a bar which has a good selection of drinks, complimentary nuts and is reasonably priced. Would consider consider coming back here if I return to Berlin in the future.

I stayed at the Leonardo Royal Hotel Berlin Alexanderplatz. The room was really clean, bright and spacious. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to other people and would definitely stay here again if I wanted to visit Berlin again.

Amazing hotel! The rooms are big and comfortable. The breakfast is by far the best one I tried in a long while! Very high standard of service. I recommend the hotel.

The ambience in the restaurant as well as the varied offer of the dishes are definitely worth four stars. Unfortunately, the parking situation was sobering. Since I was not a hotel guest but a visitor in the restaurant, I did not benefit from the on-site parking…
The ginger tea served me was not a speciality of the house, but the dinner was wonderful. It was an excellent service.

We were very satisfied and felt good. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet is world class, lots of choices all fresh, no wish remained unfulfilled.
The only negative was that the courtyard was so brightly lit that in our room the light shone in at night. Maybe you should turn off the lights in the yard at night. A good thing to mention is that we were offered an exchange of the room.
We would recommend it unconditionally.

Facilities as new. Lots of details in the room. Excellent bed. Very full breakfast. Excellent price. Very well connected. I would only put 2 but: my room faced the church, and although the Windows look good, the truth is that you could hear a lot of traffic and bells from 6-7 in the morning.
The TV had supposedly 3 channels in Spanish, but only Telesur worked. Telemadrid is not seen and RT in Spanish is not heard.

Quite satisfied with this pleasant business hotel. Was upgraded to the Junior Suite, which is spacious and comfortable. Quick and responsive service at front desk. Unfortunately, Miles and More are only transferable upon direct booking (tools like Concur are not supported).

The first to see we were going, and it won't be the last. The check-in was very fast, very nice workers. The room is large, clean and well-soundproofed. A plus for the infrared lamp on the bathroom ceiling that pointed to the tub. The breakfast buffet is very complete. The bar — Lounge has a very pleasant atmosphere, and a great service. In short, I found a very good hotel and in a great location. We will go again for sure!

We picked this hotel through a second party booking website and had no prior knowledge of the hotel. On our way up to the hotel we were a little concerned as to whether we'd selected the right location as some of the buildings in the surrounding area had been boarded up. Our worries were quickly dispelled as soon as we entered the hotel lobby. The friendly staff on the desk were efficient and the concierge was very helpful and patient with our requests. In regard to the benefits of being a member of the Leonardo Advantage club, I am a new member so wasn't aware of these benefits. Although we were allowed to check in early. Many Thanks.

Great location, in 5-10 minutes you arrive at Alexanderplatz and from there you can take any type of public transport to visit the city.

Excellent quality and service, the only downside was the concierge's poor attention, the rest of the service great!

We had a great stay here! The rooms are large, very nicely furnished and decorated, and with every amenity we would have wanted — including a safe, TV, electric kettle and supplies for hot drinks, a mini fridge and every complementary toiletry we needed. All in all, it was much more than we expected for the price. The front of house staff are friendly and helpful, and didn't hesitate to help us with directions when we need them. And my lack of fluent German wasn't an issue at all. The hotel is nicely situated as well, only a short walk or shorter tram ride to Alexanderplatz, and with plenty of good food and convenience stores close by — although not obviously so. About the only downside is the church next door, which rings its bells for a full 5 minutes at 8am — if you're planning late nights out, ask for a room away from the west side of the hotel! Looking very much forward to visiting again.

Hotel is very good, rooms have everything you need, tea and coffee making facilities, a bottle of water when we arrived, there is a small fridge for your own snacks etc, the bar are is lovely and the staff are helpful and freindly. The hotel is in a fantastic area near to transport too. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Conveniently located and the room was big and gorgeous. However, there be no door to the shower… So unless you're ok showering in front of your kids/parents/travel buddy, it can get weird… The bathroom is also not senior-friendly, as crawling in and out of the slippery bathtub for showers takes some level of agility. The breakfast was super good. Everything was delicious. Service is also friendly and prompt.

The hotel is lovely, the service is too. I bet 4 for a strange layout of the room for 3 people, which lacked a door to the bathroom. The person who takes a shower is actually in the room. It's stressful because we've lived with a family with a child old enough. Number 443.

My husband and I stayed here for a week over Christmas. Room and bed were pretty comfortable, though the bathroom was a bit shabby. Always thankful for both a fridge and a kettle! Our biggest issues were 1. The street noise (honking and sirens) and the very insistent bells from the church next door. If you're looking for a lie-in, you might want to ask for a room on the opposite side. 2. The housekeeping was very insistent, even with the do not disturb sign. Several times, they tried to come in when the sign was out or when the room had already been clean. It was quite annoying. It's perhaps not quite as convenient to some food and shopping as we would have liked, but it's not too far either.

Overall it was ok. But I expected a lot more. The room was most disappointment. Specially when we found out that there is no door in the bathroom. If you are staying with your 3/4 year old kid than how can you use a bathroom without a door? The room was also too small. I expected little more on that value. But on the positive was the stuff in the reception. They were very helpful and nice.

Staff is very nice! Location is right down the street from Alexa shopping mall and Alexander platz. Meaning it is always easy to find your way back via train, tram, or bus just tell them Alexander platz! Breakfast buffet has plenty of options and great service. The staff makes the visit.

Had a three night stay, comfortable room, attentive staff, excellent variety for breakfast and a relaxing bar area. My only negative is that I had a room overlooking the service area, so somewhat noisy around 6 a. M.

To 10 min. ALEXANDERPLAZT, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, clean and spacious WC. Endless corridors and the workers speak nothing of Spanish, a pity being one of the most spoken languages in the world. There's always room to learn it. Oh, and on the Tv in the room there is no Spanish international channel.

Were already in a similar hotel in Dresden, which basically determined the choice this time. The rooms are in the signature style, clean and tastefully furnished. Awesome breakfast: varied, everyone has to find something acceptable. Delicious coffee at breakfast in a beautiful coffee pot on each table (aesthetic feelings are jubilant). The menu of the bar and restaurant is also impressive. Undoubtedly a plus in the location: within walking distance of Alexander Platz within 10 minutes (which follows from the name), but a fairly quiet place is probably the case in noise insulation. In general, I recommend. I'd love to go back to the chain's hotels.

The double bed in "Classic double room" isn't good for couples and comes apart as it's two single beds pushed together. If you tried to cuddle one of you would find the gap getting bigger and would probably fall through. The Breakfast buffet is also insanely expensive at €19 — I would recommend going out for breakfast as Berlin has plenty of great places to eat. The hotel is otherwise fairly nice with a good bar/lounge and nice decor throughout. Wi-Fi was also great.

I could not recommend this hotel more. My parents stayed here in September and they recommended this hotel to me. Just before we left Dublin my Mam emailed your hotel to say that we were coming for a trip for my Birthday and we were given an upgraded room and there was a Birthday cake and bottle of champagne in the room when we arrived. The room was spotless and in a great location. We were also given fresh towels and a fresh bottle of water each day of our stay. I would give this hotel 10/10 and would 100% stay here if I was to return to Berlin.

Excellent art deco reception area. All staff were friendly & helpful. Corridors were a little on the hot side. Our room was comfortable & spacious. Hotel bar was a nice place to chill after the marathon.

The service is great and the rooms are comfortable and fashioned. Everything new and fill luxurious. The place is very central but far from the noisy side. There is a bus station and train station just outside the hotel. 6 min bus/train from the center of Alexanderplatz.

We had a great time, the location is very comfortable, the stuff was very friendly and professional, all of our requests were fulfilled. The hotel is absolutely clean. The only inconvenience was the price of the breakfast, it's three times a price in the other very nice places. So we just were looking for a place to have breakfast every morning, which was absolutely fine for us, 3 adults, but might be slightly inconvenient for a family with young children. The first room we've accepted (immediately when we came to the hotel, 11am! ) had no door to the bathroom, but in a couple of hours we've got another room. Thanks a lot!

Not great but ok. Bad beds and worse pillows. Breakfast was very nice and fresh, also ordered food by room service which was very good, also not too expensive or slow. Staff is friendly and do what they can to help. Had a room in the church side, the bells ringing was barely noticeable for us, and not a problem. Saw some comments on that.

Very nice and comfortable hotel with nice personals. It has a big problem, the church bell will wake you up at 8 am every morning. I liked the breakfast and the room is very comfortable except that I expected to find an iron for ironing my clothes in such nice room.

I'm there every time I work in Berlin. Has never been disappointed. The rooms are always suitably large. Everything is tip top clean, the beds are a dream. The air conditioning can be completely switched off, which is very important especially for relaxed sleeping. The breakfast buffet is always rich and fresh. The staff always friendly and accommodating.

Great location, close to Alexanderplatz. Modern structure with cozy lobby and nice lounge room. Rooms a bit small, in the double it was cramped and the bed was not double but just two single beds joined with a little space in the middle. Breakfast not free (€20! ). Sauna for a fee. The restaurant closes too early (the kitchen closes at 10pm).

I had the misfortune that on the day of arrival the room wrong was (dust on closet shelves, hair in the area of the sink, bad smell of stale water). Because the defects could not be solved I was offered a room in a nearby hotel. When I moved into the new room the following day everything worked great! Staff at the reception (Mrs Schneider and wife Pustertal), as well as the Concierge were extremely personable, competent and courteous and the room smells fresh and enjoyable and it was totally clean! A very good management and also on a holiday! I can highly recommend this hotel, but I hope that, in future, more attention is paid to ventilation and cleaning!

Good prices, booked via external company, nice personel since we forgot to pack some stuff. Airconditioning was welcome. Bit weird that they use glow lamps in the bathroom though. Didn't have breackfast since there is a bakery across the street which has great croissants.

Good standard hotel. The rooms are very clean. I liked the huge bathroom. Breakfast is as usual not recommendable. 20€ for a standard international breakfast is just too much. Go eat in one of the many small breakfast restaurants, there it tastes much better and costs a lot less. The hotel is close to the city center (10 minutes if you walk, 5 if you take the tram.

Super location! Only about 10 minutes walk to Alexanderplatz, as well as direct access to the streets — and S-Bahn. Room was very clean. Staff friendly and obliging. We had booked breakfast not as P. P. Cost €19.
The only point of criticism: in a booked double room was unfortunately not a bed, but twin beds pushed together. In General a super modern hotel and definitely recommend!

We spent a few days in family and it has seemed correct. It is 2 tram stops from Alexanderplatz and there is very often in the passage of trams.

Excellent hotel. Good location right next to a public transport hub (Alexanderplatz), a tram line right outside that takes you to Alexanderplatz in two stops, good clean rooms and extremely helpful staff.

The beds had large cavities in the center. The Wi-Fi was alright but difficult at times to log on. Breakfast is overpriced and not worth the money.

A 4 star hotel at most of the prices at the bar and the parking fees. At the friendliness of the staff, there is air still tons upwards. I have other 4 * houses experienced because of the service, the attentiveness of the staff was quite tricky. The breakfast was adequate and a great selection! Visited in July 2015

PLUS This is a fine 4 star hotel ideally located in a quiet location just to the north of Alexanderplatz, the rooms were very comfortable, clean and well presented. Prices represented excellent value for a capital city hotel, and the bar prices won’t make to weep either. There is a nearby tram stop to take you straight to the heart of the city. There is also an impressive church next door which gives you an ideal alarm call around 9am! MINUS Unnecessarily unhelpful and ignorant staff that would benefit from some basic social skills training; as an example after ringing room service at 11pm looking for food, I was told rather curtly "I cannot do anything for you. Maybe a muffin. Or try McDonalds". Really? Next time I will improve my German or adopt an American accent; the service might improve.

The Hotel is basically in the order. However, we had problems at Check-in and were used by the staff for the first time in the Lobby left sitting. What we then very opened, were the 18€/day Parking fees for a Ausenstellplatz! Since we are very often in Berlin and other Hotels know, we can have no proper recommendation.

Such a agre8 staying there close to any place you choose in Berlin a perfect location.

The hotel is ok. But once you scratch the surface it falls through. If you expect what they say that they deliver, you will be disappointed. They weren't unplaisant in any way, but for the price I would recommend going many other places.

It is very well located, the food is exquisite and the treatment also, the price is reasonable. I highly recommend it.
