For the second year At The Wagner Fest I stayed at the Hotel Goldener Hirsch just across the street from the Hauptbahnhof. To me it is the heart of Bayreuth. All the Guests know Wagner, as that is why we are all there. It just feels like home to me. Breakfasts are great and Tina runs the main restaurant where I eat everyday and return to after the Opera on Green Hill. I will return there again and again. The other guests contribute to the good feeling that I get there. Nothing but fond memories for me.

Very nice, friendly, very well placed, it's quite easy to reach the centre of Bayreuth.

Small hotel in family hand. Solid price/performance ratio. Happy to stay again. Good access from the train station.

+ Service was top (cot, gluten free food for a fellow traveller) + Breakfast Good + 3 rooms close to each other + Free W-lan + attached Italian Restaurant + despite 2min walk to the train station very quiet rooms — parking close.

Geschmackvoll eingerichtete Zimmer mit bequemen Betten. Gutes Frühstücksbuffet.

Comfortable, clean and in the center of the city where you can go to visit it on foot. The breakfast was good. Great staff. We've been very well catered for. When we return we will go to the same hotel.

On this busy road you don't even believe that the hotel Goldener Hirsch is totally quiet. And not only that: in this accommodation you put on clean — and coziness great value! The breakfast buffet is surprisingly inexpensive and delicious. The hotel is centrally located opposite the main train station. So most of the sights are within walking distance.

An old but nice hotel with good breakfast and very nice staff.

Nice, friendly staff making efforts so customers are happy. Mattresses are ok. Breakfast is enjoyably good. Lighting in rooms is very dim.

Only two stars because hotel inside and outside too noisy. The room was very clean and the breakfast was very good. For me bed too hard and too short. Therefore the whole night no eye, which is the ultimate criterion for a relaxing night in a hotel.
Still two stars because reasonably good breakfast and very friendly staff.

Room is ok only the beds are bit small. For this there is a good breakfast buffet. Super location close to everything important.

Modern and clean rooms. Amazing service and good food.

Teils sehr unfreundliches Personal, altbackene Zimmer, duschkopf ekelhaft! Sonst sauber. Kein guter WLAN Empfang. Nicht nocheinmal.

Stale Setup and very noisy environment are main street and "little bar" in front of the door or window.
The area is also rather Tatty, the train station is just around the corner.

Ideal Location. Very familiar and friendly run hotel with great Service staff. 24-hour reception. Comfortable Rooms. Fits perfectly.

Slightly old-fashioned, from the decor but very nice Hotel. Room and bathroom were very clean. The staff is always friendly. Breakfast was a bit simple but adequate.

I can the Hotel highly recommend. It is very centrally located. My room was very quiet, nice, spacious and clean. Cozy atmosphere and above all very nice and friendly staff the Hotel. In my room there was in the bathroom, no heating, it is no Problem if you have the whole day to leave the door open. Hence only the 4 stars. Mfg.

Everyone was very nice at the Hotel. Checking in and out was easy, great location, nice room with a comfortable bed. Would recommend.

Very angehmener stay in the "Golden stag", with extremely friendly Service and very clean and well-maintained rooms. Very Central location and on-site Parking included. Clear Recommendation.
