Booked and paid in advance by PayPal for 4 nights on 8-12 March 2020. I understand that the fare is non-refundable but on March 6th given the circumstances and the spread of COVID-19 I made the decision not to travel mainly because I work in health and I do not want to take any risk of returning to Ireland with contamination without knowing it, so I will also be able to take the risk of contaminating others if I travel. On March 6th I sent an e-mail to ask if there is a possibility to make a commercial gesture or to postpone my stay to another date. Unfortunately, this remains a dead letter. This hotel didn't even take the time to answer me. This is really shameful. I still intend to go to Erlangen in the future but rest assured that I will never consider this hotel again.

Beautiful place… I love the very friendly people.

Really uncomfortable sleep with old budget style pillows that give no neck support. The staff when approached act as if they being challenged so I feel uncomfortable speaking to them. Restaurant staff I dealt with had serious body odour issues. My breakfast had hair in it and the fresh berries had mould on it!
The rooms are clean and fresh with ok wash up amenities. For a 4 star I expected more that a cheap soap dispenser on the wall. Supper I ordered sausage and got schnitzel, when I asked about it the waiter again acted like it was my fault he brought the wrong dish.

We stay here every time when we drive to our parents. The last two times we ordrered a babybed and got an email to confirm that a babybed will be available in our room. However upon arrival there was no babybed available anymore! If you confirm that we get a babybed, we expect it to be there. We would expect a recompensation, but the receptionist was not helpful at all.

Very clean rooms, reception staff were very helpfull and friendly, really nice and delocious breakfast⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Was everything okay, 4 euro for parking I find a bit happiy and at the breakfast buffet glasses, which felt the size of a liquor glass have annoy then however, unfortunately this becomes more and more the standard. Otherwise I know that a welcome bottle of water is available, which is free of charge. Here, however, 4 euros is required for the bottles, which I find a lot. The rooms are clean and beds comfortable, as room keys you have a relatively large punch card (I didn't know anything like that was still used xD)

Super great location and cheap accommodation with clean and new rooms if you want to visit the fair TOP.

For a short trip to the Nuremberg region, we have selected this hotel. The rooms were clean and well equipped, the staff friendly and the breakfast rich and good. A large car park is available to guests directly at the hotel.

Clean. Warm during nighttime, no air circulation or aircondition. Parking fee €4

Every year again for the mountain festival. The staff take it calmly and are nice. If you have forgotten your charger, you can borrow one here at the reception. The bar I also good and likes to make everyone a sack if you don't have your neck full yet. The only shortcoming, the beer vending machines on the floors have to be restored.

20 EUR extra for checking in 1.5h early doesnf feel like a 4 star hotel.

The rooms are neat and clean. Only place in the tennenlohe area which has probably 24/7 front desk facilities. The front desk staff is friendly and supportive for non native germans. One lady even made a phone call to check out a dineout place for us!. Breakfast is good and has variety. Prices of course are exuberant, but I guess this quality compensates the cost. They had to change my rooms cos of a power outrage caused by heavy rains — and next day I found a note in my room for offering a free drink as inconvenience regret. It was a cool offer :-).

I was quoted a price of €260 for the extra night, €200 higher than the online price of my original reservation due, the clerk said, to a large convention in Nurnberg that was starting soon. I thought it seemed strange but agreed to pay it on good faith and without checking online because I was exhausted after flying from California to Nurnberg and got lazy, essentially. A search I made on the day I was to check out I found my room online for €69, just €9 more than the original online rate. Which means I had been over charged €191 for my last night’s stay. After quite a bit of rigmarole — eventually two emails with the CEO of the hotel group CC’d did the trick — they refunded the difference. I don’t recommend this place, or changing your reservation without checking online first, but it’s decent quality for the normal price in a not-great location. Thanks, Alex.

I showed the clerks at the front desk the search screen on my phone and they kindly agreed to look into it and get back to me. They seemed confident they could get a refund. Spoiler alert. Nothing has been refunded so far. In subsequent phone calls the hotel has refused because of a lack of proof of the rate, despite the fact that two women at the front desk saw the price and told their manager that. To go ahead and play the online review game, I’ll be happy to delete this if they issue a refund but if not I’ll log on to the other important lodging review sites and warn people about this not only mediocre quality but actively dishonest hotel group. Right Hotel. Without too many pretensions. The staff were friendly and helpful.

It's clean and cozy.
Beds are okay.
The storage area for the suitcase is finally sufficiently large.
There's a real hair dryer. And not the usual hotel menks where there are only hot and strong or cold and weak and you also have to press permanently.
Free Wi-Fi with at least in my room very good welcome.
Parking costs €4am a day.
Rooms very light polite.
At the moment, a name change is under way, so it's a bit hard to find.

Not a great Hotel for the price we paid. Not so good rooms and not so great breakfast.

Nice bright clean. Just a fridge in the room I would be happy here.

Unfortunately, this was anything but a 4 * hotel. The woman at the front desk was super friendly and really nice, but the cleanliness in the room was a total disaster! Dust, holes in the curtain, a bedside table that suddenly comes from the wall just because you put the cell phone on it, toothpaste on the sink and the really disgusting thing was a toenail in the bathroom. Definitely not a recommendation of my side, because as long as the cleanliness is not worked, the Select Hotel Erlangen is definitely not a 4 star hotel and is worth three times no further visit!

Very friendly staff at the reception, great location near highway, for long distance travellers It is an ideal stopover.
But: for a 4 star hotel in the room, our rooms were too unclean!

Very good, good reception and nice room, good restaurant.

4 Fitnessgeræte and sauna. There was nothing at hrs. Requests from the staff quickly and nicely done.

In my opinion No 4 stars. Problems with the cleanliness in the bathroom.

Hotel for business trips, on the style of the American Inn.
Comfortable and quiet rooms, discreet international breakfast, courteous staff at the reception.

I enjoyed my stay there. Very friendly staff and I can recommend the restaurant as well. One year later: Staff not friendly. My room was extremely cold. I couldn't sleep the first night. They just didn't care. No official apology! I will never go there again!

Friendly staff, fair prices. If you have a car, it´s a good location. Parking costs 4 euros. I´d come back. Recommended.

This hotel has been recently renewed, so fornitures are quite new even if essential. Clean enough. The breakfast (Not included) was good. Cortesy set in bathroom is at lower level; there isn't any airdryer in the room and there wasn't any available at reception desk… You can find a bottle of water in your room (4€). Long wait at the reception to check out, only to give back keys and have the receipt, even if you have already paid at the check in (In other hotels I usually find my receipt last morning under my room door! ) Services are not at 4 stars hotel level.

Great hotel, very good breakfast with great variety of foods, only note not up to the really tiny gym and a bit gloomy.

This hotel is totally not according ot the expected standard for 4 stars. The bed are not that comfortable, the cleanliness is not always perfect, there is no minibar or any complementary items in the room. Worst of all, there is sometimes barely no hot water in the morning.

Fake & Rip off… would be very normal to hang 1 star on the wall it would be OK…
But 4 stars as a decoy and then still €15 for a "Oh so great breakfast" extra…?

Dirty dirt We arrived and the bathroom had the dirty mug there was a fly near the bed and the next day was still present the small mirror of the broken bathroom not present the fridge bar inside the room. Bad experience.

They charge for parking 4 Euros? This is crazy considered in the industrial area. For breakfast 14, 9 EUR/person? it’s really too much. Rooms clean and bright. Stuff OK.

Location close to highway, good food, large and bright event room.

Perfect for business customers in the commercial area directly on the highway. Price — performance fits.

I had stayed here for a month. I would not recommend this hotel. The facilities were not up to the mark for the exorbitant price they charging. Receptionists were friendly and helping. Wifi speed was good. If you have no other options in Erlangen, then only go for it.

Generally a good place to stay if you have a car. Buses don't run late to this area, 8 PM. So, if you go into Erlangen or Nuremberg and will be late, you will need to make other plans. The buffet is pretty good, not great. The staff is very friendly and the desk staff speak very good English.

All clean, beds are ok, bathroom leaves a bit to be desired. Staff are friendly.

Clean and comfortable. Breakfast good but evening meal choice limited. Rather pricey esp as parking and even water were extra.

The place is normal but there are issues to service.

The rooms are very spacious and the service very good.

So if anyone is looking for a hotel, you find one where you call not several times in vain. It is simply nobody on the phone! Have I never seen. Can not imagine that the local service should be better.
