We had a wonderful stay at Wittelsbach. The rooms are large and each one unique. The concierge gave remarkable service. He was very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay in October.

Good: Very professional & helpfull staff, central location & close to trainstation (you have to walk uphill for 10 minutes) Negative: noice from traffic & people at night & from other hotelrooms, no AC (in singel room).

On the positive side, our room was large and bright. The bathroom also had a window. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We found it negative that it was very noisy through the street and the surrounding restaurants almost all night and that although the corner room went backwards. The breakfast was very manageable and easy. We were hoping for more for the prize. The cleanliness could be improved and some things in the bathroom would have to be repaired and renewed. Therefore, unfortunately only two stars.

Staff very friendly and hotel in central location. Room although large but visual and of the décor as it was 30 years ago. Breakfast very simple and little variety.

Location is pretty good but hotel is not the newest one. Still all whats needed is available. Breakfest was ok.

Hotel is very central. Unfortunately, this makes it a bit noisy on the main road. We had a very nice large room with bay window, balcony and mountain view. Beds are great. The men at the reception very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The only shortcoming was breakfast. Actually, everything was there, but it was very simple. Only normal breadcrumbs, wholemeal bread from the bag, fruit yoghurt, no natural yogurt or curd. As fruit only apples. We still liked it. Would come back at any time. Thank you for the lovely stay.

Close to old town walking area… great restaurants and beautiful scenic walkway above the town. Close base to Eagles Nest Hitler's bunker, great for history buffs.

Nice clean hotel in a central location.

More than thirty times we have been allowed to be a guest at the hotel Wittelsbach, preferably from the end of December to the end of the first week of January. So also at the end of the year 2017/18. And what should I say, it was like always. A very well laid out hotel manager, an extremely friendly and always helpful staff in the breakfast room, a thoroughly satisfactory breakfast buffet, very clean rooms, a local and always well-informed statements shinier and apparently Local receptionist in the after Mittgas — and evening hours, rest etc. Much better a classic hotel, which arose more than 115 years ago and which because of its location — the house was built at the time in the best location on a hillside — could not be expanded in the past decades, could not be managed. And it is precisely this partly preserved charm of bygone epochs that makes it in our eyes. The hotel Wittelsbach has still been able to preserve the flair of bygone times in many parts. After the decline of many traditional houses to be observed in Berchtesgaden, of which I would just like to mention the Hotel Geiger, the hotel Wittelsbach with its historical façade is still one of the few remaining ' pearls ' in the Berchtesgadener Centre.

The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was very good. Second room (249, with balcony to the street, view to the upper Salt Mountain) small and very antiquated furnishings — and the sanitary noise from next door unfortunately very clear. Breakfast? It works so. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were clean and some of the rooms have an amazing view of the mountains.

Very friendly staff, nice rooms and right downtown. Only downside is how expensive it is, but then again the proximity to the train station makes up for it (we had an early train to catch the following morning).

Great location. Rooms are nice, clean and spacious. Front desk is very helpful. Breakfast was a quaint spread of breads, meats, and cheeses. Road noise at night was a little loud but it didn't disturb us too much. Would stay here again.

Friendly and nice staff. Breakfast is ok. Make sure to get a room with a balcony. Unfortunately we ended up with a room with a view out to a car and a motorbike. Quite depressing when you have to stay inside due to pouring rain.

Nice place to stay. Free breakfast and Wi-Fi. Nice size room. Fairly close to the bus station, and one block from 2 bus stops. 2 minute walk to at least 5 outdoor restaurants and Biergartens.

Great area. Right above an ice cream and donor kebab shop. TV was a little small with less than a dozen channels. I was able to get Wi-Fi in the room, but barely. I'd stay here again.

What a great view and walking distance from town.

Great view of the Watzmann from our room. Would love A/C though. Friendly staff and great breakfast.
