Very loud. Will sleep and must listen to the noise of those next door on the common terrace. Listen ingenuly when windows are on. And in the heat without climate unfortunately does not go with windows. Try to call for about 20min at the alleged 24h reception but nada.

Super location — walk to the convention center in 5 minutes.
Great breakfast and many alternatives for restaurants, all within walking distance.
Happy again.

The hotel itself is very basic, with small dressers, however surprisingly quite good breakfast.

Rooms are simple but clean and modern, bathroom is top. Also breakfast was good, only unfortunately the rooms to the street are awful, the tram runs right in front of the hotel and is brutally noisy.

It all fit. TV was also there for evening relaxation. Free tea and coffee in the room. Breakfast is very good and the selection was also pleasant. Only one has to get used to the noises from the trams. This ends in the evening at about 11 o'clock and then everything is quiet. Therefore also a star deduction because some people like to sleep before 11 o'clock. The location is also good. If you are running comfortably you only need 10 minutes to the train station. As an excursion destination there would be a zoo nearby.

Clean rooms, for the most part refurbished. The rooms are small, the bathroom as well, but tastefully designed. Wi-Fi is free and stable. Even a small fridge and a kettle with tea and coffee powder stands there! After a strenuous journey, it was a boon to find a fresh, cool room! In rooms 14 and 15 you can hardly hear the tram.
The modern box spring bed is comfortable, there are even two pillows!
I'm traveling a lot but I haven't had much performance for the good price yet.

Hotel nice, clean, very comfortable to get around the city using public transport (tram stop in front of the property). Breakfast is great and plentiful.

Little hotel for the price. On the desk, a lamp would have been great. There was also a lack of dessert and a reading lamp. The bed was standing right at the door. The furniture could be a little more modern. The green of the chairs in the breakfast room meets one in the morning with full force.

Cheap hotel with central location. Unfortunately, the trams rumble by the minute in front of the room.

The good: The hotel is located close to the city centre and the main railway station. A tram station is nearby, but most popular destinations in Karlsruhe are within walking distance. The staff is friendly and the breakfast is good. The rooms are clean. There is free coffee and tea in the rooms, and a small empty fridge. Neutral: The Check-in process is impersonal. The reception is unstaffed after 11am, if you arrive later than that, you have to use a wall mounted telephone. On it, a staff member will tell you a code, which you have to use to retrieve your key from a machine. If the telephone isn't working for you, try flicking the switch near the microphone and call again. There is no elevator. If you have trouble carrying your luggage upstairs for up to three flights of stairs, this hotel isn't a good choice for you. Remember: After 11am, there is no staff member around to help you. The bad: The windows don't isolate well from noise. Right in front of the hotel, two tram tracks cross, and whenever a train drives over the crossing, it's getting quite loud. However, during night, trams don't run so frequently, so it's not too much of a problem. In my room, the heater gave a clicking noise from it. I managed to make it stop clicking by tying the heating inflow pipe to the heater with a shoelace, but I much rather wanted to sleep at 3am than figuring out how to stop that clicking noise at night.

Nice location near to the city center. No big reception without common areas or tables/chairs. No restaurant. You have a fridge in your room and just what is need to live.

Top price-performance ratio, but not in a top condition. No Elevator! The carpets in the staircase, grungy, loose defective touch screen for the Login (instead of a nightly Manager's reception), a window did not fully close and not open such small defects are in contrast to the really great, varied and fresh buffet Breakfast, fast and friendly staff, large clean rooms with a lot of equipment. A disadvantage is still: Is unfortunately right next to a Straßenbahnkreuzung and so is sleep only with closed Windows, or with the (a bit already in the room lying) on the Internet.

We have from 7. March 2015, an Overnight stay in a triple room (2 adults, 1 teenager and a dog) in Astoria booked. Right at the beginning, we were including dog greeted very friendly and got a nice introduction to the practical and uncomplicated code card. The room with balcony was bright, friendly and pico bello clean. Also the bathroom was squeaky clean and very modern. The mattresses of the new Boxspringbettes as well as the bed for our son were very comfortable. We have all three excellent nights sleep, although the room directly in front of the Strassenbahnstation was. The Central location, just a few minutes walk from the city centre and also some very good Restaurants, gave us also very much. In the room we found also a telephone, a work Desk with a small Station for free coffee or tea in between or to go, as well as a Minibar. What more could you want? Not to forget the nice big Flat screen TV on the wall. The Breakfast the next Morning was extensive and left nothing to be desired. We are glad that we some — how do we find very unfair negative recessions — not have to be deterred. We have ourselves all around felt at ease and gladly come again.

Pre:shower and Breakfast are ok, the Breakfast room is small and cramped. Hotel is located 2 tram stops = Güterzuglärm. EZ = 5 paces in front and back, small is still flattered. Wi-Fi = 1Mbit transfer Rate. Even worse: via HRS posted this bad review was censored and advertising was Info weglassend, misleading.

I was now twice professionally there. The rooms are probably very different. Once I had a large, but older rooms and next Time, a very small, but newly renovated room. Either you get lucky or not. Also the equipment was very different in one of the rooms had a kettle, tea, cups and instant coffee, in the other room, they looked in vain. The check-in is also at a late hour super with a key distributor, which I personally sent to me. The woman at the Desk was friendly but more reserved. Wi-Fi was available free of charge. The Breakfast I think for the price really good, to me it has nothing missing. As a pure Übernachtungshotel is certainly okay.

One of the worst of what I had seen. We were on Saturday the 26. April, had ordered through Internet. At 15 o'clock we arrived, no one there, to the reception? 's not there. We would have to make phone calls, the woman gave us a Code and an old card sent. Room? very very very Bad. Window broken, sink was broken, we have a double room reserved for 70€, we have a room with 2 beds, which are also very Old and uncomfortable when sleeping slip it on the side because the Materasse ancient. Complaint? you can not, because no one until the next day in the house. On the Sunday after we could not sleep in a bad bed, stood up, and run down at the "reception". From 10 to 20 before 12am no said good Morning or anything else, the woman stood at the Teleon for Private things. To 20 before 12 is on and asks if we have a room want. Everything is clear! Have paid, we get a bill for over€ 49 and 20 extra for the Service, then I ask what it means because we don't even have a bed than get Service, which says that for the tax office, so stand by. Tax saving (7% instead of 19% to prove. No one is stupid! ok. Our Breakfast? no seen. Nobody has asked. 've gesegt that Internet in the rooms and the Hotel is otherwise described as a really is. The woman says. Hotel is good! Oh well. Well.

Rooms and simple Breakfast were ok and the price is reasonable. The welcome at the reception, we felt to be more reserved. Very bad for us as a Cyclist: no room for the wheels. So either in the entrance or the road.
