Lovely hotel, staff, food and beach excellent.
Only gripe is that the dogs on the beach have got to go. Visitors bringing food from the breakfast area to give to them doesn't help.

We had an absolutely wonderful week's stay over Christmas at Ocean Bay. The gardens and wildlife are amazing, our room clean and well appointed, breakfast excellent and staff very helpful.

Just come back from having spent 2 weeks here with my wife and had not been to Gambia before so though we'd give it a go.

A good quality 4* Adults Only hotel. The staff could not have been more friendly. Everyone smiles. Located on the beach but with a large pool and plenty of deck beds. Bedrooms are huge.

Our first visit to Gambia we couldn’t have picked a more perfect hotel. The staff are all just wonderful happy and welcoming! the hotel is clean the food is exceptional.

Spent November 30th to December 15th what lovely friendly hotel food is very good drinks are ok located on the beach lovely.

We had a wonderful experience at Kalimba Beach. It’s a top hotel where you are truly pampered. Our spacious room with a beautiful view was cleaned every day by Fatou Cham!

Kalimba beach resort is a very nice and modern resort. Very nice for African standards. Nice and friendly staff, good variaty of foods and a big pool with a beach view.

Great people evry one is smiling and nice, hard workers and great security. The pool guy / trainer is so nice and he got great exercise skills💪🏻 the service at the restaurant is also great.

We didn’t stay in the lodges but had a great look around and used the local facilities daily.

Spotlessly clean and well maintained hotel. Free fan, safe, and late check out. Really good shower with plenty of hot water at all times. Lovely grounds with wildlife viewing platform.

So my husband and I stayed here recently and really enjoyed our stay, this quiet, clean, cottage feel, apartment hotel was wonderful.

Best hotel option in all of The Gambia. Every room has an amazing ocean view, rooms are spacious & very clean, and the staff are all fantastic.

As a family we have stayed here for 4 weeks in the last year. Rooms are clean, comfortable and well appointed, good hot water, beds very comfortable.

Clean and good price! We paid 1, 400GMD for a double for one night. No AC but has ceiling fan, bug net, and screened windows. Upstairs had one bathroom shared with all the rooms.

A nice and beautiful hotel near the beach. Don't think about luxury but the whole stuff is friendly and helpful. Inclusive a restaurant which offer you nice food.

The hotel is absolutely visually stunning. The grounds are well maintained by some of the hardest working people you'll ever meet! The rooms are kept immaculate by the housekeeping staff.

Room was spacious and clean. Property was not busy… seems like it doesn't get much business. Breakfast was basic but good (no refills on coffee), bread, meat, cheese, jams, and fresh fruit.

Lovely clean hotel, perfect location. Very happy with the room, lovely pillows! A little old fashioned, but please don’t forget this is Africa!

A good location near to bars and restaurants and the beach about 2 minute walk away. The restaurant staff are very friendly and the food is good.

Very friendly staff, owner also very nice person, room was very good, only the airco and television are not working but was not disturbing me. Location is perfect.

Leybato Hotel is a charming beachfront spot with one of the best views in The Gambia. It has a laid-back, peaceful vibe that’s perfect for anyone looking to relax and enjoy the ocean breeze.

Since april Palm Beach hotel is closed, they are building a new resort which will take some time. The managers are gone. It will be a modern big resort run by a dutch entrepeneur.

Feb 9 — 19 2025/ Great weather. Great atmosphere. Friendly and problem solving staff. Wonderful Dutch couple let us swap to their room overlooking the Mangrove.

Overall I rate this hotel as 4 stars. Having said that we did have a few issues. Someone previous referred to this hotel as Fawlty Towers.

The service is absolutely amazing and I love it, I will always recommend them. I will request all the relatives to come here. The use of staff was once very good.

We spent 10 days at Sun Beach and absolutely loved it. The staff are fantastic and cannot do enough for you. The rooms are clean and spacious.

Super nice hotel in Bakau, I absolutely recommend it.
We stayed there during the low season and it was very affordable : 30 euros for a room and a bed in the living room.

Nice quiet, safe, place to stay. Staff were friendly, trustworthy and give great service. I booked a week bed and breakfast in the classic double room. The room was nice, comfortable and secure.

There is something totally comforting about the Bakotu which keeps sending us back.

I find it hard to say something. It was out os season and everybody was working to get it ready for the new season. All looked nice and serious work was done.

I loved the energy and friendly welcome from the entire staff, especially one of the manager Wissam. We could rely in asking everyone working at the hotel for support or for help in any doubt.

We stayed here for 2 weeks and loved every second of our holiday. The staff were so friendly, helpful and accommodating to us and our 2 year old son.

Very beautiful place! The breakfast is very good and everybody of the staff is so friendly and helpful with everything. The beach is great with nice juicebars next to the Hotel.

A nice place. Friendly staff. Diligent cleaning. Good Internet. A working AC. Good mattress. Clean sheets and towels. We enjoyed our stay.

This was my second trip to Gambia and I stayed in Roc Heights purely due to the fabulous staff, especially Omar who really went out of his way if I needed anything.
