Fabulous location beside the Old Port but tucked away and quiet. Really great room, much bigger than most hotels and amazing bathroom. Aircon was just right, didn't need to adjust.

Stayed 3 nights (Mon to Thur) in a “privilege” room on the 11th floor. The room was spacious, with very modern, almost 5* level decor (the exception was the painted stucco wall, which cheapens the overall feel of the room). The room came with a complimentary minibar with water/juice/pop. It only had a small window, so it felt a bit dark, though we had a full view of the Roman ruins in the Jardin des Vestiges next door, and in a distance we could see the top of the boats in the old port. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The Wi-Fi in the room worked well. The one major issue we had with the room was the air quality (poor circulation and dryness). Our room was cleaned daily, though we did have one recurring issues with housekeeping. Location-wise, pretty convenient. As mentioned, a short walk from the old port area. Just east of the hotel was the busy Belsunce district, with tons of restaurant and shopping options (though front desk staff advised us to avoid the area late at night, so we stayed close to the old port for our late dinners). The train station is close by, though cab rides to/from it were fairly torturous at all hours due to traffic.

We didn't say a night here because bloody AGODA stuffed up our booking. But the staff at the reception were so helpful! The 2 ladies and a male reception staff made about 30 phone calls until they found us another hotel. This was late on a Saturday night too. It was nice to see them go above and beyond for someone who ended up not even staying there. Hotel itself was in a great and easy to find location.

Good hotel but needs a fresh coat of paint in places. The hotel is linked to the world trade centre next door so makes it easy if you are attending an event.

Very good hotel in the heart of Marseille, just a few steps from the old port, simple but clean room, very nice buffet for breakfast.

Convenient with parking and juxtaposes the World Trade Center. Right in the heart of Marseille.

No stay at the hotel for my part but use of the parking service which is genial. At 10 euros a day, leave your car in a secure underground parking, with online booking it's the top!

Highly recommended! Centrally located right next to the harbour and still very quiet. Very friendly staff, great clean big room with super comfortable bed. I haven't slept that well in a long time. Sensational view of La Bonne Mère. Huge delicious breakfast buffet. Delicious burgers are interpreted in a modern way in the bar. Upmarket price levels are absolutely justified. The only shortcoming: A sea of flowers made of lilies in the hotel foyer is a challenge for all allergy sufferers. Tip: Simply peel off and remove the pollen, then the problem is solved.

Excellent location, near the old port and the busiest streets. Good service, spacious rooms, quiet and comfortable. Parking is only a few meters, in the mall, recommended as it is difficult to park in the area. A good option to spend a few days in the city.

Hotel very well located 10 minutes walk from the train station and 4mn from the old port. Modern establishment, well kept with an excellent breakfast buffet. The staff are very professional and very welcoming. We had booked and prepaid 5 rooms. 3 could not be occupied because of the SNCF strike. The Holel reimbursed them despite the fact that they had been reserved without possible cancellation. A small downside however: for my taste, the mattresses are hard.

The house has a good location in a small side street. Many things are within easy walking distance. Otherwise, the tram station and the Metro are just a few steps away.
The staff at the reception is very cordial, friendly and helpful. The standard room has a comfortable size, has a practical kettle and mini-fridge. The beds are super comfortable. The bathroom is bright and clean, apart from an edge in the upper part of the bathtub. The black mould used here should actually be noticed when cleaning.
The breakfast — on weekends for late risers even until 11 am — is certainly not at the end of the scale. Friends of great choice of sausage or cheese are disappointed. There is coffee to choose from: Filter coffee, coffee maker or Nespresso machine. And there are many options for a sweet breakfast. It is uncomfortable that the staff, although many employees are there, do not take care of the clearance. So it happens that even 45 min. After guests have gone the place is not yet tidied up. This inattention repeated every morning and makes the quality of stay at breakfast uncomfortable.

Very satisfied with this hotel. We stayed in a suite. This one was very spacious. We enjoyed the toilets being separated from the bathroom. The bathroom was very good: modern and a spacious shower. We also enjoyed the TV which was great and that offered many channels. The room was modern, warm, with a mini fridge, a safe… Very well equipped. We liked it very much!

Very nice property right next to the old Harbor. Very clean and very modern car park shared with the Exchange centre, supervised and secured.
The area is unfortunately not very well attended, but it feels very quickly safe just outside the hotel, supervised by 2 security officers.
The reception is cordial and smiling. The news is clear and precise.
Very functional meeting rooms, properly soundproofed and huge installation room equipped Dunbgrand shaded terrace.
I would definitely go back to try the rooms.

The service staff of the counter are poor in quality and lack of reception training. The location is very convenient, the interior design simple and generous, is Marseille short live very ideal residence.

15 minutes to wait for the elevator! I took the fire escape and I found myself out!

Beautiful rooms, great selection for breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Marseille. It's also very close to all attractions.

High end hotel in a city that has some issues. We were glad to find this while we were surrounded by low rated places plagued by cleanliness issues. As others have also encountered, we too found a very large, dead rat in the middle of the road. Mercure was a bit of a sanctuary away from it all, and had a great breakfast buffet to top it off.

4.5 stars. Excellent breakfast (additional 10€ or 15€). Everything was clean. Friendly staff. Easy checking/checkout Nothing super special, but excellent over all.

The worst night in a hotel… apparently all the bedding in the hotel is as firm as a pebble, not comfort at all. Wet room, still wet carpet cleaning. Zero produced in the sdb if not a soap, just passing for one night I would avoid in the future. Not worth the price at all. Far from a 4-star…

We got a good night sleep in the amazing bed with great pillows. The rooms are spacious and very clean. In the lobby we had a very friendly and funny receptionist who was helpful. The location is great. It's only a couple of minutes walk to the busy old Port district. Unfortunately, some parts of the street in front of the girl could be cleaner.

Central and very close to the port, plenty of good restaurants and pubs close by. Rooms are spacious and clean. Lobby very spacious and drink prices not bad. Staff are friendly and breakfast is plentiful. Overall, great experience.

Our stay was one night only but was very nice, the proposed reception has the happened as our departure was very nice with us and the hotel is spotless, the room was very clean and well furnished, comfortable bed. We really enjoyed our stay with you and there would be gladly more time during a longer stay if the opportunity arises in the future.

Great location, room was very clean, well stocked and maintained, and quiet. Breakfast in the bright and welcoming dining area was excellent, with more than enough variety to satisfy all tastes and hungers. The view from the room was lovely: we looked towards Notre Dame de la Garde. The staff were top-notch.

Hotel renovated recently, nice room, a hotel with Accor services as can be expected. Only downside, the access.

Everything great the rooms are clean enough except for the carpet which is sometimes a bit dirty the staff is kind the breakfast plentiful we found some small problem in the parking lot but otherwise it is great the price is affordable for almost everyone is The hotel is new.

The Mercure Marseille Centre Vieux Port is a no-frills hotel at the centre of Marseille, just a few minutes from the old port. When I made my booking, I got a good rate and think for that price it was really okay. I got a room on the 7th floor — nice enough to have a bit of a view, but nothing spectacular. I never had breakfast at the hotel, so I cannot say anything about the food. All in all, I enjoyed my stay at Mercure Marseille Centre Vieux Port and I can recommend it, if you want a nice, central room in Marseille.

Nice hotel, the rooms are clean, has hair dryer, no iron. Wi-Fi is through authorization in the browser. The restaurant on the 2nd floor. The breakfasts are delicious. The location is convenient, the price tag for double occupancy 158 euros on the 11th floor (June 2013).
