A nice and not expensive hotel. The rooms are relatively clean. But we need a cosmetic repair. The staff are friendly.

The womans doorms is really not comfertble. (around 16 beds) and it is straight on the street level (window to the street). The sheets were clean but the shower and the sinks were really not tempting. The doorms felt like they had a basement and made the maximum money out of it. Would totally pay some more money to a better place.

Dorms rooms are ok but the toilet and bathroom are in a very bad condition and it’s not worth staying there. But it is quite cheap and near to the metro station.

Nothing like the pictures on their website or booking. Com, rude staff (night shift guy) not all rules displayed prior to booking or explained at checking, very poor Wi-Fi.

The beds creak and make noise when u turn sides. The receptionist is a little rough. The bathroom is ultra small.

Location good. Proximity to the port 5 minutes on foot, Metro in side street which runs from 5 o 'clock in the morning. No problem reaching the airport. Cheap hotel for those who do without service and have no problem with dust. Bath and toilet clean. Old apartment building with charm.

Clogged sink, cigarette butt that goes back into the sink when the water stagnates… the staff is very friendly and very helpful.

The Staff member I dealt with was so rude! Insulting and repulsive… will never stay here again!

Bad service all is cold in the hotel reception and even the rooms I recommend not.

Hostel at a low price is the base but they don't even give you a sheet. No hygiene, no friendly staff. It's just the price you might be interested in.

Dirty… Noisy… Obsolete… Without comfort… Without lift… Common and dirty toilets! To avoid urgently!

I would have endured the dreary, rundown, dirty, loveless impression at the beginning, but the unfriendly receptionist added me. So you don't want to start a holiday.

Lovely helpfull Staff but not really clean hotel.

Seeing an attractive price, rather clean photos in appearance, we booked this hotel. On arrival the unlovable receptionist gives us our keys, in the room the sheets are stained, there is not even bedding, the curtains are also stained, we go to the shower and it is absolutely not clean, the door of it will stay in the Hands the next day. Being a student and not having a staggering budget I feel ripped off. I would definitely not recommend this hotel.

Very simple. Justita cleaning, but for the price you pay, you can not ask for more. Super well located!

Terrible. Dirty no chairs. Tables if you want to eat something… the staff. Well. But really. Very bad. I would not recommend it to anyone. Check them out… it's not that in condition. The bathrooms sucked shut down. Etc etc.

Hotel 1 star. The cheapest price near the old port.
The room is ok but a bit dated. The room includes a bed, a bathtub and a toilet (nothing on the landing).
The downside are the walls far too thin and the neighbors far too noisy!

Rotten hotel.
Already making a stay there the bedding is more than worn out. Not to mention hygiene.

Do not book especially!
I wonder how a hotel like this happens to stay open and has no control I would have preferred to sleep in my car.

I just spent a night in your hotel with a 40 euro room with breakfast. The room you booked me was rotten. Yes, you read that right. The burnt bedside table from everywhere no neon above the sink. Bedside lamp walks no mold all over the walls. The shower, all the rotten joints. A wretched synthetic plaid as a blanket the toilets on the landing. In short this room does not deserve a star nor pay 40 euros. Next to formula 1 is luxury and certainly more hygienic. Sleep merchants still have bright days ahead of them.

Disastrous place in every way. I've come to fear. Worth spending a little more or walking five more minutes and staying in a safer place with better guarantees.

I made a reservation there to now 1 years we have to cancel our reservation due to death we paid the 3 days with breakfast there we never repay it his cashed the whole of the reservation and plus it his re rented the C Hambre so it makes a profit what I forgot to say C is that we come from the Haute Savoie I do not advice to anyone this hotel it does not deserve two star too dilapidated.

Big advantage is that it is well located.
In a small building old hotel to renovate… however good welcome. Breakfast very good. Good bedding. To spend 2/3 nights this is suitable for small budgets.

And I wouldn't give him a star.
This place has no hotel category, no pension even… Do not go because it will ruin the trip, just as it happened to us, until at the end we went to another accommodation. It is a dirty, insect-treated, poorly attended, unsafe and pathetic joint…

My husband and I decided to spend a night in Marseille since the next day our flight came out, and we stayed at this hotel without first checking their reviews so horrible they have, as I have to say they are true! To the point of trying once there, find another place to spend the night because frankly I have never been more disgusted in my life, he WC was out of the room and shared (I don't remember hiring that) the shower and the curtain I think they had never been washed! The hot water shone by his absence! and a quilt with 4 layers of dust was at your disposal if you were cold… There are many places in conditions around the area… Horrible.

Worst hotel ever! never ever even to think of booking to this sh** hole. From top to bottom the smell is stronger than grandads incontinent pads. Bedroom not carpeted, no phone and no bedroom toilet like they advertised you shared outside bedroom! First night shower room is floaded blockedwater not heating up wth!. Ok breakfast is a joke not even a single egg or bacon just bread and butter lol. Bed is noisy and smells. Defo will not book to this dirty hole.

Expensive price for a B&B with outdated, ugly, dirty and ramshackle facilities. The only good thing about it is the situation (in the center of the city). I had never paid so much for a bed in a B&B and it is by far the worst I have ever slept in.

Horrible. I was never in such an ugly hotel and they treated me so badly. Given fear. Don't recomendarìa an enemy.

Bathroom scary, without window and in works, the rooms really have the bare minimum, soundproofing to review but welcome very nice.

We had booked for two nights but, upon check in, we ran away with raised legs and we broke the reservation. It is not absolutely as shown in pictures. Low-Class hostel, dirty and dilapidated, great set for a horror movie. Never in life, run away.

Its worth its price the only snag Lhygiene but it is going to not expected has Mieu at this price but the reception is not bad especially the lady.

The beds were clean and comfortable. However, the lights did not work at first and there were missing bulbs. Bathroom was extremely basic and there wasn't even a shower curtain. Very cheap to stay but you can see why.

Wifi didn't work but it was comfortable enough for a night. No worse than some of the hostels I've stayed in.

No lock on the door of the room is something really I cannot stand, room is big, the sinks are fine, but the toilet and bathroom are small and stinky. And you have to pay ten euros if you want to store your luggage there in the afternoon after checking out.

He's fine and they don't break the boxes! Very close to the old port. Rooms OK without pretending super luxury. Shared Bathrooms always clean!

Lousy Hotel. Poor. Only the reception staff is friendly, to say better, especially the lady. The rest of the hotel sucks. I have never seen a hotel like this. I didn't even get my room, nothing. And to top it off, I am denied breakfast in the morning… very bad time, never again a foot in this hotel.

Hostel was clean enough, and staff weren't rude — just distant. My main issue was that there wasn't a kitchen, so eating in the city became expensive and unhealthy. Shower was also intermittently cold.

The hotel, the old and lugrubre, but also don't stop having problems with them from the first moment. We had reserved two rooms for one night, so our reserve put it, however according to them they said were two nights a room, communication with the receptionist at that time was very difficult since her English level was very low. Before my idea that had paid the room start via the internet to look at my accounts, this with enormous effort and work because the Wi-Fi works really poorly. And indeed it had already paid rooms, low immediately and they have changed their receptionist and if the previous did not have much level of English, this directly said that he only spoke French.

I was very disapointed by the hotel and it's managment. I payed for a room with hot shower in advance in cash (their credit card reader didn't work "by accident"). I only got a receipt after explicitly asking for it: There was no legal name/stamp of the hotel/owner noted on it … And then: There was no hot water. My complaint wasn't considered seriously by the managment. The vague promise, that it would run again the next morning, was not kept. I wasn't offered any compensation. Considering addidionally that the house is very run down, not to say icky (especially the carpet floor), I can only recommend to stay far away from it!

a hotel that I will never go back.

The hotel is in an old building and badly maintained. The pictures on the hotel website must go back to the last renovation, certainly many years ago. The rooms are dirty, stairs and floors are all slanted, the furniture is bare-bones and of very poor quality.
Attention to taxes, just by touching them risks having them fall into the street from what are badly reduced.
The hotel is also next to impossible to reach by car, because of the numerous alleys reduced pain, and does not have a parking lot.
Wi-Fi? It's just an illusion, does not work and the staff has no intention to improve the situation.
It was a terrible experience, which made us run away from Marseilles the next morning.

Mixed review. Staring with the good: excellent location (5 minutes we football to the old Port, 2 minutes to a central subway station) and, if booking online, you can get very interesting rates (we payed € 35 /night for a two person room)!
The bad: Problem (apparently at check-in) on the second day: I was called we the phone at half past eleven to tell me to clear out the room because I was leaving that day. I said that I distinctly recalled booking for two nights. Apparently the employee doing the check-in on our first day messed up. The next day, they tell us we need to pay for breakfast (which we booked online, same time as the two nights stay). I had to go and show them the printed out reservation. It was the same employee who called me the day before, and seriously, I was a bit ticked off that a) she didn't believe my word right away b) she wasn't very entertianment gold gracious about it when she was proven wrong and c) she didn't connect the dots and remember when it was us she tried to boot from the hotel the day before.
The ugly: the room reeked of old cigarette smoke. We aired it out for hours and nothing helped. The bedding was kind of destroyed (holy — like holes, not saint-like — bed covers, smoke burns).

Problems checking: the person noted that one night's stay (instead of the 2 reserved on the site). So, the next day at 11:35 called me to tell me that it takes that I empty the room.

This hostel is pretty cheap, and you should not that's what you're gonna get in terms of service and attitude. The first night I was there it was decently cleaned, but I dont think it was cleaned after that. My friend was missing a pillow so I gave it to her. The next night I asked the front desk person for one he said he didnt have one; for me to ask the day shift person or take one from an empty bed, which is what I did. I also had a problem with the Wi-Fi the last night I was there and the girl reset the modem (she checked on their comp and the internet really wasnt working) later on I asked the same guy (the one with the weird hair) to reset it and he and the other one said I couldnt use internet downstairs. Except I had been (in fact I had even skyped the day before). Some of the beds are right next to the street so it gets really loud and it smells like cigarettes if anyone smokes outside. And the best part! There's a curfew which you're not told about until you get there and the front door ir locked at 11PM. We got attitude from the guy with weird hair for not wanting to use the reception area upstairs after 11. And a couple of other poeple were basically "yelled at" for coming back late (around 12:30PM).

The hotel is dated it is located in a small, noisy (dirty) Street (see photo Street Hotel) many passages of motorcycles, cars, garbage truck. No double glazing, screw a screw too close (see photo Street Hotel), noisy neighbourhood (children, crying of a baby) and disrespectful note that locals throw buckets of water from the windows so look over your head when you walk on this street! There was even a lady who essorait his laundry by the window just above the entrance to the hotel! and despite all these inconveniences we were forced (to try) to sleep with the window open because no AC on top! We had a hurry it was out of the hotel!
Council do not hesitate to pay a little more expensive to go to a better hotel with more comfort and forget that l.
