I only went to the restaurant, the decoration is atypical (there are sauropod paintings). The food was very good and the service was quick.

In the evening stage, I arrived at 7.15pm I got my room at 7.30pm after having leeked 15min at the front desk. Room 3, nice large room. I ate very well despite a bit long service, I spent 1H20 at the restaurant. Back in my room tired around 9:30 pm I realized that I was above the kitchens and that we can hear well. So I went to the front desk to find out if I could have a quieter room. But I was told "no the hotel is full", and the person made me feel that I had to be a little zealous. FYI this hotel that doesn't lock the doors of the unrented rooms, so I counted in the hallway where I was, 5 rooms… 2 closed, so 3 free … But he wouldn't have made fun of me, sir?! besides this gentleman who gave me no info when I arrived, I had to call to have the Wi-Fi code. Here's talk of Wi-Fi, if you want to work from the room forget… There's no flow. This remains in the theme of the room with the breaks of TV signals, and the temperature of the water that varies, hot/cold. In short went there only if you want to eat well.

I come regularly to the Éssille which is one of the good value for money with its formulas. Warmer than the large chain hotels in the area, the restaurant table in addition.

The home is perfect and the setting charming. After two visits between November 2015 and March 2016, I would say that the entries are very well worked and that fish receive a lot of attention at the level of seasoning. The meat is of excellent quality but deserves a little more seasoning and accompanying work. This remains a very good table in the Cognac region.
